A 12-year-old cannot possibly make a proper interpretation of this piece. It just lacks emotion. It is very good technically, though (a lot better than I can currently play it and I'm 18) and that's quite impressive.
Find emotion in your play and you will really become one great cellist.
GO COLOMBIA!! YEAH MY COUNTRY!!! Woop! lol that really is excellent talent for someone who's 12 (around my age). Just so brilliant! I mean I play trombone and I've been called gifted and talented in music and what not but this is on another level. I mean he's not even talented, he's EXTRAORDINARY!!! Go Colombia! lol
very well played! enjoyed it and all, even if i do have a few disagreements with your interpretation (if other people wanna know how i like the dvorak cc, just listen to du pre's version...) but overall extremely amazing
guys, of course i understand that he is a 12 year old playing Dvorak. my comment is intended to be helpful, not disparaging (some of you seem to have gotten the latter impression)
Damn now some kids are playing this when they're 12... I prefer to not go so fast mainly because cello has a much more limited collection of pieces compared to the likes of the violin. Maybe I"m just jealous lol. However your bowing and your vibrato is too frail for dvorak.
you are adding a rest after almost every short phrase/motif as you change bow direction. listen to yourself. you'll (hopefully) hear that you aren't putting the music first and simply letting technical things get in the way of making the music. good luck.
I do entirely agree with your comment, interplay5. While the performance is not the performance of an entirely mature musician, it is remarkable in its own right. I believe that any real musician has gone through this stage of enjoying rubato a little too much. It's only with age that he will mature. A truly great performance for such a young cellist though! Bravo!
Me das más ganas de ensayar con mi cello :3

I forgot to comment on how good you were. Hopefully in the future you are able to see how much you have improved compared to right now.
