One sleepy Sunday afternoon I was listening to my Bob Seager albun for maybe the 87th time...feel bord as Hell, and I dug out an 8 track (tells you how long ago that was) that I;d found lying on the ground a week before and pushed it in the tuner. That tape was KISS DESTROYER, and the song that lept out at me and grabbed me by the balls was DETROIT ROCK CITY!!!! and I've been listning to that ever sice...and I was at Irvine in '96 with my bro the Wild Child Dave Brock. WHAT A SHOW!

You can barely see it in this version, but 30 seconds in, some drunk idiot jumps on the stage and starts mooning the crowd as he hops across the entire stage! It gets cut off on this clip, but a security guy on stage right clothes lines the guy into a headlock and drags him off. and Gene , Paul, Peter and Ace play on like nothing just happened!

yea. they played rock n roll all nite in the encore and that was awesome too. there was these huge cannons in the audience and they shot out confetti. really fuckin awesome but yea they closed with detroit rock city
