Whiskey and beer..? it doesnt matter where they're from, its drinking with your friends and making friends at the pub, Metallica/Thin Lizzy paid TRIBUTE with their cover song, most of us here in the USA are from IRISH FAMILY NAMES (i'm a Murphy), now shut it and drink up lads :)
all of the comments on this video regarding other versions are only concerning thin lizzy's (decent) and metallica's (crap), shouldnt forget the Grateful Dead's. Next to this one, I, personally would consider the Dead's version the best.
explain to me why the picture isn't of Jameson or Bushmills... at least make it Irish whiskey... oh HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY. May there be much whiskey in all your jars
@rpgplayer101 you have to respect thin lizzy and metallica's versions though, although they arent authentic music from ireland, its still classic (thin lizzy) and bad ass! (metallica)
@rpgplayer101 Stop crying about Metallica and Thin Lizzy for fucks sake.... They did two incredible covers of this song, BECAUSE THEY LOVED THE ORIGINAL!

@rpgplayer101 So them paying their respect to this amazing song by doing it in their own way is wrong? I have to disagree,

@rpgplayer101 Agreed. Though I admit Thin Lizzy does a nice version IMO. Not such a big fan of Metallicas,
