A horribly Under-rated Gundam Series, in my opinion has one of the hottest female protagonists...

-the Wing Gundam and Gundam X are alot alike, even the transition to an upgraded version... both had 2 separate weapons, both Wing zero and Double X could vaporize a colony in one shot, both the Twin Buster Rifle and the Satellite Cannon are unrivaled to any gundam's weapons in power and are equally powerful compared to one another... the only other equal is the Physalis's Nuclear bazooka...

@snakelord2 I recommend it, I really enjoyed Gundam X. The characters were fun, and It was more lighthearted, like ZZ Gundam. (Dont worry, it isnt as ridiculous as ZZ Gundam). The ending is pretty bad due to the anime being cut short by the network, but besides that, its pretty good.

The original MS Gundam (aka Gundam 0079) takes place in the Universal Century, Z Gundam, ZZ Gundam, Victory Gundam, Char's Counterattack, and F91 all take place in the UC. The other series are all considered AU (Alternate Universe) and take place in their own respective timelines. Any series that takes place in the same timeline will share the name.

Gundam X and Turn A are by far my favorite AU Gundam series. However, X has the best OP. Dreams> everything else. I can't wait for SRW Z2 to come out and reunite these with Votoms, Gurren Lagann and Dancougar (classic not Nova).

@autobot3123 Actually Reborns Gundam was based of the Hi-Nu gundam. It was shown in the novel adaptation of Char's Counterattack, which was the last battle of Char and Amuro. This is likely because Ribbons' voice actor in Japan is the same as Amuro and both are the ultimate gundams they individually piloted.

Storywise it could practically be an UC series and even standalone it was great.

The same thing happened to Married...With Children when it was moved from Sunday nights to Monday nights and it had to compete with WWF RAW is WAR, WCW Monday Nitro and NFL Football.

@obacat That is a speculated reason that has been proven false but hasn't been spread as far enough for alot of people to know. Evangelion aired at the same time as Wing, and ended before X aired. So X wasn't cancelled because of Evangelion. In fact, the ratings for X were lower than Wing's, but were at an average with regular mecha shows were at the time. And only dropped ONCE THE SHOW WAS MOVED AT 6AM. Making it even more mysterious as it seemed to have been moved/cancelled for no reason.

@SupremeDalek1000 How can people love wing so much and hate seed? Wing has to be the worst gundam series of them all. Aside from the horrible and toy-like MS design, cool-wannabe kiddies as characters and Relena who was even more annoying than Lacus, it had some of the worst and lowest budget combat ever.

All combat anime have scenes repeating but Wing is the worst of all. Every fight was exactly the same using the same 10 scenes over and over for the entire series. Only the movie was decent.

@cosbusta Wing had a superior storyline to the god awful Seed series. Seed was constantly going back on itself with constant recap episodes. None of the characters are remotely likeable and aren't developed at all. Seed Destiny was the worst for both characters and character development, it's obvious that the writers simple got bored with the story. Seed and Seed Destiny are by far the worst entries in the gundam saga.

Intriguing plot, great memorable characters (bar Quatre and Relena) and the characters were properly developed through out the series plus the Mobile Suit designs are superior to the sorry excuses that were offered in Seed. X got higher rating than a lot of the other gundam shows(it had a higher rating that Wing at some pints for example), the reason it was cut short was due to it's air time being moved to a less convenient slot and it losing a lot of its audience due to that
