just remember that transition doesnt have to mean looseing or denying your history and where you've been but part of it is makeing all of what and who you are part of your life instead of hideing it.

Although I never identified as lesbian I know for me losing or feeling like I am losing my queer identity scares me. To me that is where I found an overwhelming sense of community and now, after going to one local Pride this year, I feel a bit like and outcast. I can also relate with your family situation to some extent. I guess for me when certain family member say things that are so off the wall I just try to take it in stride. Good Luck.
