Anyway...

You missed the most important step: "SELECT -> NONE" prior to blurring!

Therefore the blurring isn't working like it should and Color Balance gives you just a slight pink instead of a glowing red.

It's not as power-efficient, it runs in seperate windows, and it is horribly non user-friendly.

But it's free, which is why I use it.
