So did Funcom give you guys a private server for the battle? That's what I heard, but not sure.

Looked really funny. Were there objectives or was it just an all out fight?

No, as the title says, it's on Cimmeria RP-PVP server. We did crash the instance we were in 2 or 3 times, but overall it wasn't bad at all. We didn't really have any objectives...well, aside from holding the tavern and lighthouse as long as we can. But mostly, it was all out fight, as we were testing the waters. Next time we'll hopefully see some story telling and real roleplaying which will make it little less chaotic.
