Yes... I remember precious Omayra and how sad it was to watch her drown and to be so helpless, wanting to do something.. ANYTHING.. to help her and knowing there was nothing I could do. It is a vivid memory and a haunting feeling. It sickens me to watch what happens now to the world's children at the hands of man.. knowing that these acts of violence are senseless. I still have hope that enough of us will keep speaking, that we will find a way to get the world on a path to peace. We have to.

Oh yes Earthy. Really. I feel like in a slow motion film. I'm counting the days, because it's like being in a sort of test.

We are like watchers of a milgram experiment being conducted in front of our eyes.

And I lie so much, because for me, to my eyes, this f' last step out of mankind and humanism happened long ago.

But the electrocuted patient of the milgram test, suffering, is still breathing, so WE still have a chance to cry STOP!

Never heard of Omayra's ordeal. As sad as it must have been, you're right... there are many many Omayras, only victims of fellow 'humans'. What a shame on mankind!

Frank Fournier, the photographer was attacked, because people didn't understand how he could watch and do nothing. Like he said to BBC :"People were asking: 'Why didn't you help her? Why didn't you get her out?' But it was impossible" So he reported her ordeal, "I felt that the only thing I could do was to report properly on the courage and the suffering and the dignity of the little girl and hope that it would mobilise people to help the ones that had been rescued and had been saved."
