Its easily the hardest job in cricket, and after 20 years your back is knackered, your knees are shot, and dibbly dobbly bowlers who just lob it up get all the wickets at grade/village level because the batsman's eyes light up,

Fast bowling is horribly unrewarding.

BUT ...you no balled here by about a yard. You were WAY over the line. If you don't sort out your run up you will get in all sorts of trouble. You'll end up looking at the line as you run in, stuttering and bowling junk.

This is very true the faster bowlers tend to 'leap forward' more than jump up to any extent.

The exact extent of this transition stage has to depend upon the individual's ability to coordinate the rest of their action.

Stirlingsays You do know that to keep as much momentum as possible from the run up you're supposed to have minimal time in transferring your weight from the right to the left leg(if right handed). And to avoid losing forward momentum you're not supposed to have a high jump into your delivery stride :)

Lots of things right with this action. Good run up. Good 'hang time' or leap forward. Great finishing position and follow through. Elements to correct. You have a mixed action...you are chest on but your landing back leg points to the side. For a chest on action this needs to point towards the wicket or at least first slip. This slows you a marginal amount. Also you collapse a a little in your action which loses delivery power. All in all though a very good action. What's your pace?
