@bamboo4tameshigiri - Yep...this kinda crap (along with factory farming) is making me almost vegan. Now that some of this shit may be evaporated and rain down on crops is scary, too. Whats left to eat???
Yeah, the bonuses for "safety" are definitely a slap in the face. I was disgusted when I heard that and I can't even imagine how the families of those who died felt when they heard.
We need alternatives now. People who don't see this as a problem are fucking blind and stupid.
@tattooskin72 Thats the nature of CEO bonuses, it seems. Over here in Sweden, we've had numerous instances of CEOs fucking their companies over royally, and to counter, to balance their budgets, they fire a big chunk of the companies employees, and gets rewarded a bonus for handling the company so well. No matter the fact that the remaining workers now have to work twice as hard, and probably will start dropping to the floor one by one, completely burned out.
@SabreKitteh I'd say it's a worldwide problem. Most people around the world easily forget history, repeating it often. A majority also seem to lack foresight as well.
We MIGHT get one, but the rest will get away with it. They get more money than they'll ever be able to spend in their long, carefree lives by destroying our and future generations' health, wealth, freedom, lives and environment, and we won't be able to touch them. Long after they've died with most of their ill-gotten gains still unspent, people will be suffering from what these greedy fuckers did. They enrich themselves through our pain and torment. Sometimes, I wish there were a Hell.
I heard they picked up a couple tons of tar balls just a ~week ago in time for tourist season. Enjoy that seafood!

@skeletonmom I'll still enjoy seafood, in moderation, but I will not be willingly eating any that comes from the gulf for another ~3 years.

Damn, America has the collective attention span of a gnat. And if anything will be our downfall it will be this trait.
