Top of the fork is compression bottom is rebound not the way you said it, adjusting clickers is pretty simple, the rear shock has high speed compression and low speed compression as well as rebound at the linkage
@lespaulbeauty softer you would want to turn the compression adjusters counter-clockwise. or to the left. just make sure you're turning the compression and not the rebound or you'll get flipped of the bike in certain situations
@TheBedRoomGamers no you just need to not have a trail bike on a track get a race bike youll be happy dont mess with redoing your suspension on a trail bike if your going to be on track
the clicker on the bottom of my shock by the linkage is all maessed up, like you can spin it both ways forever it seems like. any idea whats going on??
@MotocrossHideout yea, it clicks, but it goes forever both directions. and i have another question, where you mount the shock on the top, you know how theres that sleeve that goes over the bolt?? i dont have one so theres like a half inch of play on that mounting point. you know where i can order one. iv been looking and i cant find a website. ahaha
Hey Thanks Man but i got a question? Im gettin a Honda crf250r 2010 and im a really light guy, a weigh 120lbs... do i have to stiffen the suspension or soften it, and how do i know if its right or not?
@Tyronejjh You will have to soften it. Best option is to bring it to a local shop that knows suspension and get it re-valved with springs that fit your weight/riding. Good luck.
@twistedkeys1 where i come from if you wanna win you got to ride, what the big dudes are riding, and thats 450, and when you ride a 125 2 stroke and then a 250 after awhile you just get used to it and it seems slow compared to every one flying past you on there 450s
(I've adjusted the clickers, all the way clock wise toward softer. I recall there are 14-clicks from harder to softer. Both shocks need to be adjusted at the same amount of clicks right??
So, softer all the way will you feel more impact? Or less impact?
As for the same as tightening all the way towards the hardest, you won't feel as much impact??
@MrMainoffice Clock-wise is stiffer, not softer. You don't have to adjust them at the same time. There are usually 12-18 clicks total. Softer=speeding up compression/rebound so the impact is softer as long as it doesn't bottom out.
Your speaking of clickers (Soft & Hard). My question is, tightening towards softer on the front forks, will you feel the impact more if jumping say a ramp. Will you feel more of the impact when hitting the ground?
@bajaprerunner99 Yes, but for what riding? The bigger and rougher the terrain is the stiffer you want the suspension. It should be the most soft when riding on flat ground or trails, for the most part.
@husband36 I'm 5'6'' and would actually prefer to ride on a big wheel/supermini sized 85cc bike. It should be fine as long as you don't grow much more in the near future.
@89KxRider hey, i looked on my forks, and it has like a hole like 4 a air compressor? like it looked like the top of a needle, u used 2 blow up a basketball?? lemme know if u kno how to fill these 1's
@corybaughman You can't really mess up the spring by loosening the clickers. You may strip it if you turn it out too hard when it's already out all the way.
whats the difference between rebound and compression?

hey, i just got a ttr1125 and i hit huge jumps at my motocross track, every time i land ymy shock bottom out can i stop that?
TheBedRoomGamers 5 months ago
@TheBedRoomGamers You need stiffer shock and fork springs, but I would suggest getting a motocross bike if you are hitting "huge" jumps.

what should i adjust for a more plush suspension?
i ride a cr125 on mostly trails and it's too stiff for my taste
x814HCx 1 year ago
@x814HCx Turn the clickers out (counter-clockwise) until it's soft. If it's still to stiff then you'll probably need some softer springs.
