  • Just a thought.... My mother told me that if it was not for the Living Bible (paraphrased) she would never have read the Bible. She reads a different version now but if it was not for the Living Bible she would never become a Bible reader at all.

  • Sorry but at marker 26:00 Mormons CAN read anyother translation, but they choose to read the KJV. I donot attend the lds church, but the correct church name when Joseph smith and others started their congregation was called church of christ, then changed to "church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints" not to get confused with the other Church of christ. They are called "mormons" because the prophet Mormon from the "book of mormon" .God can use anyone in any land, just remember that.

  • So true Monica. I was a mormon and never knew there were different Bible versions. I thought there was just a common Bible everyone used. When I came out of mormonism i soon discovered versions I could understand and was like "WOW"! It was so refreshing.

  • I've went round and round about this issue for a long time. I eventually stopped flip flopping by listening to people tell me whats best. I concluded that although the KJV is the most accurate, its harder to understand for many which leads them to stop reading. I always go back to the NLT(New Living Translation). It brings the scriptures to life and doesnt have a dark spirit about it. I'm enlightened by it. Satan can get people to be KJVO, knowing they very well may stop reading it. Be careful

  • the NKJV New King James Version Is more correct... than kjv

  • @PravoslavnaOhridska

It's not.. it's rooted from the SV like everything else. If you think I am wrong you would have to show how the SV is not a curruption.

  • The messiyahs NAME IS YAHSHUA HAMOSHIYAH! in Hebrew! King james removed the messiyah name in 16 11!!!! and put that LATIN HEY ZEUS JE ZEUS! IN REPLACE OF the messiyahs real name.!!!!!! Roman CC were evil man they dont care about you!. The pope got involed with PAGan! SUN worship!. Remember you praise YAH in your church! YOu Say HALLELU what? YAH! YOU SAY YAH!!! AND YAH OR YAHWEH is the most highs Name!!! and our SaveYAh. is Yahshua. Cos the messiYAH said ive come in my fathers NAME.

  • @Tom4life071 Just say 'Jesus'.

  • I like the large print version.

  • Monica, also for the more technical folks that may be reading this. Some argue that the original Greek/Hebrew texts that the KJV was translated from are better than what many of the modern translations are translated from. However, getting passed all the fluff, there is only about 2% difference between them which has no effect upon any major doctrine at all. In fact the Deity of Christ is even more pronounced in the NIV than the KJV. Both are God's Holy Word! Blessings Sister! :)

  • The quadricentenary King James Bible possesses numerous drawbacks and shortcomings, being an antiquated 400-year-old Anglican translation which utilizes Elizabethan prose and is completely disconnected from contemporary English-speaking laypeople, incorporating multitudinous Medieval-period archaisms, translational errata, archaic phraseology, translational inconsistencies, and unjustifiable omissions. Its Shakespearean constructions and terminologies are outdated, cumbersome, and unforgivable.

  • I just can help it but LOVE you monica. I will really like to be your friend and get to talk to you. I have a lot of questions for you. And thanks for letting God use you. I desire to be able to love in a deaper dimension.

  • We just had a big woopty-doo over this becuase of the 400 yr. anniversary. I think as long as people get saved I could care less about what version they use. I also don't hate catholics like many seem to. However, they do preach things that add to Christ's finished work on the cross (as if they could do such a thing in reality). Now, I PREFER the KJV because I like Jacobian English but when I'm confused sometimes I'll look it up or cross-reference. JESUS is the WORD!

  • I agree with the video. I'm NOT a KJV only person. I go to a church that uses the NIV. I get frustrated about it, but that is only because I forced myself, over time I might add, to get used to the language of the KJV. I use the Strong's Concordance, which is extremely useful, but it is only useful as a tool with the KJV. It's just my personal preference. I'll never condemn anyone for using other versions. There are different "original" Greek manuscripts, which I think is the real debate.

  • @chapmaned Are Catholics Christians?

  • I would just like to know WHY the KJV only club are so aggressive, spiteful, and nasty to people?

I was told by one good "christian" of the KJV only clan that I was a "demon possessed new age sinner" and I was going to hell....simply because I said that using a modern translation along with the KJV was helpful for Bible study.

So according to the KJV only crowd if you use a NIV, NKJV, NASB, or the NKJV then you are going straight to HELL!!!

    nice people....

  • @ThoughtTraveler

ALL bibles carry the same message and that is this

Jehovah is the true god, jesus cgrist is the son of jehovah godm hell is the grave, the soul is NOT immortal.the soul dies, nobody goes to heaven when they die only the little flock,

that satan is the ruler of the world and we are living in the last days, that jesus is now present as king and is not coming as most state as jesus has already arrived invisble, and the good news is being preached in all the earth for a witness,FACT

  • @judgerutherford does this include the "New World Translation"?

  • @ThoughtTraveler They feel they are defending the truth and that they need to stand up in whatever way it takes to get ppl to listen. This is not Christ-like, of course. In their "defence" of what they feel is truth, they have forgotten what the Truth (Jesus) is all about. I changed my views today. I've always been a KJV'er - but have never gone about it as you have prescribed, so please know [we] aren't all like that. It's important to change our views when given evidence that scripture trumps.

  • Thank you TICTOC Ministries. I Praise and thank our Heavenly Father in Jesus Christ for this ministry of Truth given through His Holy Spirit. May we all become one mind and one heart in our Saviors Truth.

  • Thanks again Monica. For once i was lost, but now im found

  • thank God for his Holy Spirit, for what people dont know, he teaches, some Bible help you believe in particular religious denorminations, Im just thankful that whatever people uses, if they surrender living in the Spirit, even if they dont have access to a Bible in certains countries Gods Spirit teaches that one truth that saves the soul, that is what is key for me, going through the same narrow part at the end of the day. stay blessed Sis

  • It is true when you say that this is not a Jesus ordained argument. What if it is from the devil. Lucifer himself. How about that. It might be possible still.

  • you didn't post my views. why?

  • @newchaptoaddis You didn't leave a comment on this video.

  • you didn't post my constructive comment. why?

  • @zedonutube Your comment was not constructive.

  • @TicTocMinistries The Living Word is a skilful tool God uses through us. Newer versions where The writers who wrote them, say the N.I.V surely loved God?! So if they are for God they could Not be Against God! The KJV is an excellent authority & studious version,.... BUT,.. UNFORTUNATELY Sixteenth century English IS OFTEN OFFENSIVE TO MANY,.. A Holier than THOU attitude for some is like spitting at them! Why encourage this? Think of your hearer who may struggle with 1600 century language!

  • @rangoon03 Please watch the video before commenting. We may well be in agreement.

  • Amen.

  • There is compelling evidence that the KJV is flawed at best and extremely corrupted at worse. We cannot go past the first 4 words in Genesis 1:1 to find the first problem. Elohim was changed to "god". We are off to a bad start! This intentional Capital Crime was committed by 47 "scholars" 680 times. For a reason still unknown, setting the record straight has caused many to be angry!

  • @uwjco whats the differene between elohim and god?

  • @uwjco Actually it is not "god." It's "God." KJV doesn't screw that up sir.

  • KJV only types don't have a clue about NT Greek manuscripts, there are verses added in the KJV that the disciples never wrote, that's why they were removed, to find that we go to the earliest Greek manuscripts. I want the original words.

  • Good message.

As a linguophile who's studied dozens of languages, I understand clearly that you can't go from one language to another without losing part of the meaning of the text - and gaining things that were never in the original. KJVO, to me, boils down to "we can judge the meaning of the original texts by how they got translated"... and places the English version in authority over the versions in Italian, Finnish, Japanese, Russian, etc.

  • Amen, sister.

  • I am sick & weary of you Laodicean believers who sit in a pot of warm water like a frog till you boil to death.

You read Matt 6:13 in both the NIV & KJV then tell me whether you miss anything, & declare before the Living God whether you serve the Lord God of Host or Satan and why you made this Satanic video.

You say "I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked" Says the Lord Rev 3: 17,

  • I am from the UK and I am SHOCKED at the Rudeness, Crudity, Hostility, and Paranoia of the American KJV Only crowd. In the UK we use other translations.

I was told by the good "Christians" of the KJV Only type that I was a "evil Sinner" and was"going to Hell and burn burn burn" and I was "a Wescott and Hort heretical dupe" and a "Corrupt manuscript loving moron".

All of these things I was blasted with by the good "Christian" folk of the KJV Only persuasion.

Why so much anger KJV ONLY people?

  • @babiesfriendly How do you know she is lukewarm are you a pharisee a teacher of the law of GOD Jesus was the hardest on them GOD can save in any language HE IS GOD!!

  • Amen, thank you for this!

  • KJV was good enough for Paul too.

  • YAY :D u rock Monica

    Bright Blessings :D

  • @Wudpeckr Sorry..... not going to debate this with you.

  • @TicTocMinistries Thanks for putting these videos on youtube I am going to watch all of them. I really needed to hear the word told without a dark agenda. There are so many to look at and I have looked at many but find your videos to be from the holy spirit not from self love and satans attempt to make Gods word twisted. Thanks again Tic Toc Ministries!!

  • Let me first say that I like the KJV, but come on folks... stop acting like the first century believers wrote and spoke english. Let's also remember that when the Messiah walked the earth, there was no "New Testament", so this simply points us back to the Hebrew scriptures and the ORIGINAL writtings of the diciples as being truly inspired. Unlike the Almighty that I serve, ALL translations have errors to some extent and are NOT perfect, therefore cast some doubt on their inspiration.

  • In the KJV Christ says if one comes unto him and HATES NOT his family he cannot be his disciple. One would have to be an IDIOT to think that is a perfect translation. The greek means to love less by comparison. If we love our wife more than him, we cannot be his disciple. I read the KJ but its not perfect. The originals by the authors are perfect. Does God really command us to love our enemies and then command us to HATE our families? I read the KJ but there are much worse translations.

  • on the king james issue i believe the KJV, but monica i do know you have great work for the lord on you channel and glad you are saved and doing what you can. i just simply show what i believe and i do not hate other christians, but every one should have their fair chance to give their opinion.

  • How do you a KJV only person take what Jesus said here?

And why are you not obeying what the Scribes and the Pharisees tell you to do?

KJV Matthew 23:2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:

    All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do;

  • @NolanRogers2 They probably use it to supoort the doctrine of Onced Saved, Always Saved espescially the jesus-is-savior website, and that the NIV teaches Lordship Salvation. I like the NIV and NASB better because they tranlate the original lanuguage better. All bible versions teach obedience, not the live in sin gospel of OSAS.

  • @JanayM I believe in OSAS and run from sin. I went to a bible study last night, I'll be going to church tomorrow (ushering) and volunteering at a christian mission after that. I pray and read the bible daily. Live in sin? Hardly. But you tell me: what sin causes one to lose their salvation? I've never heard a consistent answer for that.

  • @jchardy316 blasphemy against the holy spirit will cause you to lose your salvation, and that's about it. Matthew 12: 31-32. you can read from verse 25 to get the whole context of what Jesus was saying.

  • @jchardy316 How would you answer these yes/no questions?

Is there some kind of sin that wounds the spirit and another kind of sin that kills it? y/n?

If you don't forgive your brother's sin, will your Father forgive yours? y/n?

Is it possible to be cut off from Israel after being made part of her? y/n?

Is it possible to know Jesus and then to become entangled again in the corruption of the world? y/n?

Is it possible to be in the true vine, but then be cut off, and thrown into fire? y/n?

  • great point monica...Same points im making in my video ..............well said.....

  • @ Kenouman, The Kings James Bible was compiled long after John The Baptist's death. So, he didn't read, use, or preach out of that book.

  • great video" TO OWN A KJV DOES NOT BRING ANYONE CLOSER TO GOD NOR DOES THE KJV BRING YOU IN PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD; all you need is the spirit of GOD in you & the truth is revealed, GOD NEVER SAID FOLLOW THE BIBLE :-) God said follow me & I will lead you to truth. THIS MIGHT SOUND STRANGE FOR SOME BUT I FOUND GOD WITHOUT READING A KJV IT'S A PLUS TO HAVE IT BUT THE SPIRIT OF GOD IS GREATER THAN ANY BOOK EVER WRITTEN ABOUT HIM,through prayer I found CHRIST & I'm developing a relationship.

  • Are we saved by grace or legalism? Try to remember by whom and how we are all saved. The bible we use is a tool only, NOT the means by which we are saved so don't worry about the small stuff you will only lose your brotherly love for one another. Jesus would not care which one we use as long as HE is our main focus and the reason for which we live our lives each and every day.

May our Lord bless all of you, now stop the in fighting please!!!

  • @abbyguy i truly love your answer ive encountered some kjv only people and honestly couldnt put into words what i had to say to them but this is exactly right!! thanks God Bless :)

  • The KJV is known to be rife with errors and mistranslations. One is wrong to say one translation is right ant the other is wrong. That has lead to too many problems to even begin to go into. One just needs to look at the big picture of what every version of the Bible says...

I enjoy your videos! Very informative and faith inspiring.

  • The excellent series on the John Ankerberg Show about this issue is a must see (or hear) for all Christians. While the Message is an abominable New Age piece of trash, the NASB, NKJV and yes, even the NIV are perfectly OK versions. They do NOT teach New Age doctrine, deny the deity of Christ or hell or anything else. All my KJV only friends, PLEASE check out the Ankerberg debate. God bless.

  • If you want a perfect example of the Hate and Anger that the KJV Only people have towards those who want to dare to disagree with them watch the You Tube video:

"The Ruckman Reference Bible, a review and recommendation"

This new "Bible" is from a crazy out in left field KJV Only preacher by the name of Peter Ruckman. The things that this guy has in his new "Bible" is beyond belief.

I say again - WHY do the Majority of the KJV only people have to be so ABUSIVE and CRUDE to other people?

  • Lots of fussin among believers. Good that someone is talking about love.

  • I agree 100%, people need not worry about which version is the best or the only one to use, but focus on the One and only God, who is Jesus Christ the Lord. If the written Word is causing a stumbling block among the brothern, then they need to stop reading and get down on their knees and start praying. Don't look at men for the answers but seek only God and His Holy Spirit. Jesus will give you the correct answers.

  • King Jesus Christ of Nazareth is LORD...

    Hebrews 4:8 (King James Version)

8For if (Jesus) had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.

Hebrews 4:8 (New King James Version)

8 For if (Joshua) had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day.

    Kind Regards,

  • @christianprophecy, you do know that Jesus never heard the word "Jesus" in His life? His name was YESHUA, whose direct Hebrew-to-English anglicization would be JOSHUA. But since the New Testament was written in Greek, not Hebrew, the words went through additional steps, which is why Isaiah is called "Esaias" and Jeremiah is called "Jeremy" and Zechariah is called "Zacharias" and Elijah is called "Elias" and so on and so on.

    Likewise, Joshua = Jesus.

  • i really enjoyed your video and i would like to ask which bible version were you reading off of in the video? "(im talking about the bible you were holding in your hand in the vid)"? i would really like to know because the language was beutifull, and which bible would you recommend for someone who grew up in the ghetto i guess you can say speaking eubonics? i grew up reading kjv but i believe that whatever works for you is alright with God! and again i appreciate what you do, God bless!

  • That makes everything so simple - Just one version of the Bible - It solves so many problems.

One question to you - Do you believe in Unicorns?

Isaiah 34:7 (KJV) ~ And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls.

Job 39:9 (KJV) ~ Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee

Psalm 22:21 (KJV) ~ for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns

Psalm 92:10 (KJV) ~ But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn

  • @TheSaviouroftheworld μονοκέρωτος - one horn or uni - corn is a pretty good translation. btw. the greek word is from the LXX. How would you translate mono ceros? The translators tried to stay as close to the underlying Greek and Hebrew as possible, so why the sarcastic "Do you believe in unicorns?"

  • The NIV (which some have called "Satan's Masterpiece") is probably the worst Bible. You should watch the vid "NIV Exposed". It's three parts. The first part deals with verses that are completely left out and the last two parts deals with a woman named Virgina Mollenkott. There is an audio interview with this woman on the vid. She is one of the people who worked on the NIV and she is a professed lesiban. Also the publishers of the NIV also have publishing rights of the "Satanic Bible".

  • PrincessJen,

Not going to get into a debate with you. I just wanted you to know that Zondervan who publishes the NIV is indeed owned by HARPER COLLINS. Harper Collins also publishes the Satanic Bible. Guess what else they publish under the Queen's copyright in the UK? Yep, the KJV. Please check you facts before you repeat things that aren't true. I will send you the proof if you should like to see it.

  • @SkiesVibrant Queen's copyright is Authorized Version. KJV is an American version. Love you, love--English Teacher, Most of the modern versions are written on a low reading level.

  • @SkiesVibrant Actually. KJV isn't copyright, so any publisher is allowed to publish it.

  • @bmolesy To publish it yes to revise it no.

  • At the Market, I purchased a loaf of bread.

I Bought a loaf of bread at the store. Didn't I just say the same thing? I don't think anyone can be misled by my statement. People can waste more time trying to disprove the Scriptures. It must grieve Gods' Heart. God help us to grow up.

  • Jesus died on the cross for our sins and this i know for sure and that is all that matters !! If you search for the truth you will find it!! God bless all of us!!!

  • I have ONE question for the King James Only people:

Are Spanish, French, Russian, Chinese, Bulgarian, Finnish, Italian, Swedish, Kenyan, Korean, and Japanese Bible readers ALL going to HELL because they read the Scriptures in their own language and NOT the KJV?

Well.....what about it? Are they lost sinners and pawns of the Antichrist because they do not read the KJV......or even read in English?

AND why are you KJV Only people always so Angry and Defensive? What is up with that?

    Well?

  • EXACTLY!

  • 16:32 Excellent point!

  • If the KJ Bible was good enough for John the Baptist it's good enough for me.

  • @kenouman - If ? lol.

  • kenouman....Surely you jest!...LOL

  • wait........are you implying that John the Baptist had the KJV? You are being funny right? I mean the KJV didn't exist until the 15th century..........oh I get it, you made a joke........

  • KJ version wasnt around in his time, dummy!

  • Great video response Sister! I was born again, soundly saved under the preaching of the NKJV. But it was the holy Spirit that has regenerated me, I have been walking with the Lord for 5 years now, set free from drugs, theft, lies and so many other sins - Not boasting - but simply serving the Lord now, sharing the gospel with an evangelism team almost weekly, attend Calvary Chapel 2 times week, reading the word to my 4 kids and wife, and just living under His grace and love.

  • @kenouman "most accurate??" meaning other is not "accurate" enough?? How "accurate" is it?? can you say that KJV is 100% accurate? any proof that it is a 100% accurate??

  • @kenouman

John the Baptist didnt have a bible. The bible didnt come out until 419 AD. In fact, the epistles were written before the written gospels were. The last epistle was written in 59AD. The 1st written gospel was begun in 61AD. If the apostles & Paul had no "written" gospel, then what gospel did they preach? Paul even says he has no written gospel. Gal1:11-12; 2Cor3:3.. What's this called? --> Sacred Tradition, or the "spoken" word. 1Cor11:2; 2Thes2:15

    Also, 1Cor11:23, 15:3; Isa 55:11

  • @kenouman When did he read it?

  • @kenouman King James was born 1600 years after John the Baptist.

  • @kenouman

Such soild logic there cheif. Seeing how during his time the KJ BIBLE didn't even exist.

  • @kenouman Did John the Baptist read from the KJ Bible? Was the bible already compiled at his time? Was the KJ version already translated at his time? Did he speak English?

  • @kenouman King James version didn't exist before the 1500's. This is why religious people are considered by many to be ignorant. Most of the New Testament wasn't available to John the Baptist either. It is likely that there were huge chunks of what is the Bible today that John the Baptist never saw.

Our version of English language didn't even exist yet.

This was English at that time:

    egsode eorlas, syððanærest wearð

feasceaft funden; he þæs frofre gebad,

    weox under wolcnum weorðmyndum.

  • @swilson3d You do realize that NONE of the NT was even written during John the Baptists life right? Sorry if you were just being sarcastic and I didn't pick it up!

  • @kenouman Yes, but the King James Bible didn't come out for 1600 years+ after the life of John the Baptist.

  • @kenouman John the Baptist didnt speak English... der

  • @kenouman The King James bible was the 3rd official translation to English. When it was printed, John the Baptist was already dead.

  • Thank you,I am a man,and think that woman Most of the time are better teaches then menTheye teach the Word wiyhout any Ego God Bles keep up the Good work

  • How absurd for christians to waste their time on discussing if the KJV is the best version or not! They simply dismiss the fact that not the whole world is speaking english.

Never in history christianity had such a variety of bibles, tons of christian literature, christian tv-broadcasts, internet, conferences.....you name it.

Maybe we made christian knowledge to our idolatry? Where is Jesus? Still the center of our life or not more than a stranger on the bus?

    Greetings from Laodicea

  • I have noticed about the KJ ONLY people here on YouTube.

    1) KJ Only people CENSOR all of the comments on their respective YouTube pages or video posts. Why is THAT?

Hey...if they have the TRUTH...then why do they have to control what people say.

    2) KJV Only people are Angry, Suspicious, and very Defensive people. You can not even get into a reasonable debate with them. In their minds...anyone who reads the Bible except in the KJV...they are lost and going to Hell.

  • @ThoughtTraveler, I had not one, but TWO, KJV Onlyists block me AFTER calling me a "FAITHLESS HERETIC!!!" (uppercase and exclamation points THEIRS, though I think they used more of the latter) for daring to point out II Chronicles chapters 21 & 22.

  • Yeah COMALiteJ I hear you!!!

I asked a KJV Only person on his video page why all of his kind did that. He said that I was of Satan and a Blasphemer who hated God's word.

KJV only people CANNOT debate and have a constructive disagreement with people. They are so emotionally and doctrinally out of balance that they act like crazy Cult people.

  • Excellent post PapilonSG. Not only has this become the idolatry of the book, instead of its meaning, there is not ONE SINGLE DOCTRINE that is changed in any of the new versions. This divide is the work of hell itself. Pathetic.

Thanks for rising above the muck here and speaking the truth.

  • Very well done; it follows the "wisdom from above" in James 3:13-18.

  • nice

  • People of today no longer speak the same English as they did 400 years ago. Translations that take God's Word and accurately portray it to today's people are just as good as the KJV was in 1611.

  • This is stupid. You are talking as though only English speaking people are Christians

  • glazinq;

She is talking about the KJV argument, which is related to the English language pecifically. She is not saying what you say, obviously.

  • It has only been divisive because Christians have let it divide. I love KJV but its because I have studied the most from it and know the problems with it. I know the KJV well enough to spot discrepancies in other translations, which makes me dig deeper to find out which is more correct. I go to a church where they use both the KJV and NKJV :)

  • Doing word studies and reading many different translations including the Septuigent is important.

  • Great video. My only point would be that the other translations are just as good for establishing sound doctrine as well. Your comment at around the 13 minute mark is the only thing I would minorly disagree with. I use the KJV, NIV and the ESV(another literal translation). God Bless.

  • I juist don't believe that the poeple at the time of KJV would have had access to the ORIGIONAL documents and resources that, say, the NIV has had.

  • I wish i did know greek and hebrew.. i would be able to catch the nuances that are missed in the english. IMHO, i prefer KJV because i can use my strong's concordence with it.. i have read other version, even thought the NET would be better, but i have problems with it, too and tread carefully to watch for discrepencies. the main problem i have is changing words to make it make sense.. i figure the guys in 1600 were closer in time to the original then they are today. my 2cents

  • My best friend, Christos Kalogeropoulos, reads the New Testament in Koine Greek. I suppose he doesn't know the Word of God since he doesn't use any translations, including KJV1611.

  • Well, I'm certain that translation will burn in hell with him!!! Arrrrrrrgh!!! Just kidding.

Seriously, I think they're only arguing about "English language" translations, though. It's a "fear of change" issue.

  • I did some research on the people who translated the Bible into English. These men could speak fluently 7-10 languages by the time they were 9 years old. Whoever is saying that these men are wrong by making another version to suit their wants is......well i guess they're just better and more qualified......PHSYCK

  • This 'KJV Only' thing first surprised me. I was surprised so many are stuck in such an issue and I really believe this must look Christians appear easily confused and even 'stupid' to be stuck in this as an issue.

Uh yes, it can be true that any version might have some poorer choices.

The KJV people 'cherry pick' out those and because they suppose KJV is the 'standard' they make comparison and 'compile a list',

    yet,

The problem is that one could just as easily do that the other way around!

  • Mat 7:21

"[Absolutely] not every one who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of the heavens; but he who does the will of My Father Who is in the heavens."

  • UH?!?!? Kent Hovind NEVER said that the KJV was the ONLY HOLY word of God. Good Grief. He specifically said that he doesn't argue with others who use NIV or NASB, etc.

I have lots of different versions. It makes me a better student of it. I prefer the Ray Comfort KJV.

  • Jesus Christ has the final word, and not ANY man, not even His elect.

  • This issue is ridiculous! What about the millions of Christians all over the world who don't speak English? KJVO is just like saying that we all should learn Hebrew and Greek, only reading from those original texts.

  • KJVO nonsense, as well as other doctrines that divide the body of Christ without scriptural proof, are what is making unbelievers laugh at Christianity. KJOs stir up more fights among the church than just about anyone else, and they set a poor example for the truth.

  • Those who rate me low are cowards & insane, KJV ONLY FOR SALVATION? = ABSURD & CULTISH DOGMATIC RELIGIOUS BELIEF :)

  • Great video and well said. I knew some people had a preference for KJV but didn't realise how arrogant some where about the KJVOnly thing. The Word of God will be spread to all nations. There are certain things a Christian must believe in which im sure you all know, in other things (e.g. contraception, Rapture ect) we must have liberty and for these we come before the Lord and not eachother. BTW I read KJV and NIV. Oh and I love the way you hold the truth in Love :)

  • KJV ONLY MOVEMENT HYPOCHRITES!

  • This is why Atheists & other members of religions are mocking the salvation doctrine of Christians because this people of KJV only are too bigoted & narrow minded to understand tha't the teaching of Jesus Christ can be translated freely.

  • No, it's because of the roman catholic church.

  • yea, we're all hanging out after mass plotting the the corruption of the Holy Scriptures. lol

  • It safe to say without reservation that the King James Version of the Bible was a government publication. It was a government publication simply because James was a devout believer in the "divine right of kings." The "divine right of kings" dictum meant that since a king's power came from God, the king then had to answer to no one but God

  • I think this is one of the few things I disagree with Monica about.

I hold to the outlook i see illustrated in "Did the Catholic Church give us the Bible?" by David W. Daniels. It is a real easy book to read in a day or two. Very deep in knowledge. ANd really helps you to understand true church history.

I don't know if I will say versions such as the NIV is as perverted as Origen's "septuaint" or Jerome's Roman Catholic Vulgate Bible. But feel there is a similar spirit working there.

  • If KIng James is what thou readeth, shall it not be what thou speaketh?

  • I trow not!

  • hahaa.. truuee..

i don't knockpeople who read it..but if you're gonna say its the ONLY one..tch..no way..

    God bless you

  • @thefluffy7

What the hecketh talkest thou about. Knowest thou not that we do talk like this? =D

  • Looking at the KJVonly movement from a socialogical perspective, I notice how the Russian Orthodox adhere to Old Church Slavonic, even though they can't understand it, same with Greek Orthodox and Koine, same with Coptics in Egypt and Geez in Ethiopia. Many Muslims only trust the old Arabic Koran. People elevate old translations because they are "original," even when they can't understand them. Some Germans like Luther's translation. KJVonly simply follows this pattern.

  • It goes deeper than that. At least I believe it does.

I can understand the King James just fine. I remember being given a KJV when i was 5. I learned it just fine. My problem was the church i grew up in and the world around me and a family that didn't understand the bible at all.

Ecumenism is a dreadful disease. The Catholic Church is the great whore. The KJV is to modern english translations, what the Vandois old latin vulgate bible was compared to Jerome's Roman Catholic vulgate

  • I have 7 diff english translations...I've read them all.

I don't see that great a difference between any of

them. The one I get the least out of is the kjv because

I don't speak king james english.

  • I love, LOVE you ministry! Beautiful words. Keep preaching rthe good word, girl. You're spreading the holy spirit like peanut butter.

  • If the living God can speak through a donkey, He can speak through ANY translation. We cannot put any limitations on God.

  • I read a few versions, NIV, CEV, KJV and NKJV. One is easy reading, two have notes for women and one is the classic old English with very descriptive though sometimes difficult to understand old English. All help me spiritually.

  • William Tyndale, a 15th century translator, was burned at the stake in 1535 for heresy. After his death, most of his work was used for the KJV...:-)

  • KJV seems to be the most accurate translation to the original. But there are human flaws as with all translations. To dismiss all other translations is closed minded. But to try to correct mistakes or bad translations would cause the words to become more man made then it's original purpose. But we as KJVers need to look at other translations in areas of our Bible that should be discussed and then become common knowledge among KJVers.

We can thank God for choosing the Jews to be the keepers. :)

  • "most accurate" ... based on what ? KJOnlyists use examples where the translators CHOSE to use doctrine to re-interpret the original text. That's error. The NASB and ESV made greater efforts to avoid this.

  • I have to admit I was tought by various websites that the KJV was infallible and the only word of God, then I went around arguing about it with people. Now I am ashamed of myself, and understand this division I was indoctrinated with through Satan, and am truely sorry for the things I've said regarding this self-confliction.

  • I'm so glad you pointed this out, we've several bibles at our house, some NIV some KJV... I grew up listening to the KJV and kind of like how its written, that's not to say I wouldn't read from the NIV...it's just a choice I make. And I'm so glad to learn that it's the word that matters and not the cover or version of the bible. Thanks again. Peace and God Bless to you and yours.

  • "Another things we think good to admonish thee of (gentle Reader) that we have not tied ourselves to an uniformity of

phrasing, or to an identity of words... For is the kingdom of God to become words or syllables? why should we be in bondage to them if we may be free, use one precisely when we may use another no less fit, as commodiously?" -Preface to KJV 1611 translation, from subsection entitled "REASONS INDUCING US NOT TO STAND CURIOUSLY UPON AN IDENTITY OF PHRASING"

  • yes king james was a fag and a freemason slave master. how is it a gift from G-D! cukkoo!!

  • you speak the truth

  • This argument is mute. The Bible is quickened in our spirit By the Holy Spirit. Now does one version give us more truth concerning practice and faith than another? Is it not line upon line precept upon precept? Can God reach a person whom he has chosen? YES! So is there an error in every version? YES! Was wescott and Hort's rehash of the Greek texts accurate. was the KJV textus receptus accurate.? Why is this devisive discussion up Here? Petty out of focus. Read greek if you want truth = Bible

  • I think you mean "moot," not mute.

  • Thank you for balance. I am not sure people who are KJVO even have their facts straight.

  • Well spoken sister Monica. The KJV Onlyist seek to divide God's church with ignorant abandon. One version bible Onlyism is of the severest form of idolatry. When God's elect stand before Him, He won't ask which English Version of the bible did you read?.... Nor will He ask of what denomination do you belong?... But rather what did you do to further My kingdom. There are much more constructive things the body of Christ should addressing; You think?...

  • After going through 7 pages of this thread, I was so heartbroken. Its as if no one even heard what was spoken. What is so ironic is that I have heard people preaching from the kjv and come across an old English word and say "well this word means such and such" They are trying to let the listener understand what is written. Alot of times they use the same word that other translations use to get the point across. Dont you see?????

  • No bc at many other times people use the KJV to push their own false believes bc of the outdatedness of the KJV. They read a confusing passage, say oh it means this, and most of the time it doesn't. It gives many a license to be elitists.

  • If the King James Version were the only God-inspired translation ... then what's in store for folks who can't speak or read English?

  • But... but... but....... but but.... but these other versions are DIFFERENT from the king james version!!

    =)

Thanks for this great vid :)

  • Amen!

  • If you speak in old english use the King James only. I speak in modern english and I use many english versions including the KJV

  • Sister, you ought to see the attacks against you because you don't teach KJV Only...it is scary!

  • Amen...

  • What are the lyrics of the portion of the song we are hearing? Also, what's the name?

  • Great admonishment! I can see that I need to examine my own life after watching this discussion.

Great point about chasing after the different voices - I see it a lot in many segments of "Christianity." Too many chasing after every wind of doctrine.

  • You may not subscribe to someone who has blocked you.

icartoon2, the person that complained about TicToc blocked me for posting scripture and truth.

This is what King James Onlyism really is; censorship and ignorance of truth.

  • Lam1ngton and others;

First of all I want to apologize for anything that I've said that was negative to your character. I humbly ask for your forgiveness. Christians should never argue in the presence of non-believers, I am just as guilty. I do not want to be a stumbling block, and with us arguing back and forth its bound to turn away a potential precious soul. For my part in that I beg your forgiveness and am ashamed before Our Lord. God Bless you all, and once again Im sorry for my part.

  • Hey MadScience,

God bless you, it is comforting to see at least some King James Onlyists that are not condemning and calling each other's names.

Anyways, relax, it's all good, God bless you.

  • Hey TicToc, that icartoon2 deleted all my posts which refuted his points on his video, as well as my explanations in scripture. He deleted as well some posts by King James Onlyists that I refuted, because it was an embarrassment to his camp.

His video that complained about "censoring" shows very little consistency. He deleted all my rebuttals of his arguments, and left the arguments for KJV Onlyism on.

It's clearly proven that King James Onlyists censor the truth, and any opposition.

  • Keep up the good work Mr and Mrs Tic Toc! Monica...you have a gift. God bless.

  • I personally don't have a preference in Translations, its all about bringing someone to Christ. But my question to people who say King James only, what do we do about those who do not speak english at all, who speak other languages and can only read the bible in there own language thats not english?

  • hello fellow christians.i did'nt know about this site but thanks to whoever put it up.i agree with you there.i live in the philippines and a lot of them there are bible illeterate.

  • there ya go

  • 8:37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

  • I get an audio copy of the sermon from the sound guy. ;)
