  • Don't know who she is yet but I'm going to sing this to my future wife at our wedding some day.

  • This is the best love song ever written.

  • Intense. A hundred times better than the love songs on pop radio, ha...

  • Thrice's music is audible salvation. Or repentance, in my case.

I can't believe I missed this album when it came out! Now was a good time to stumble across it through.

  • 3 persons don't know the real love LOL

  • The lyrics are amazing. One of my favorites.

  • man i want new thrice....

  • This is so refreshing with the force fed complete bullshit radio feeds today.

  • This is the most unique love song I've ever heard.

  • probably the best song ever, atleast for me.

  • oh, Thrice, how I love you.

  • wow i lovin them more n more :D

  • ur mom sux dix

  • Thanks for uploading this. I should buy it already...

  • why do people keep posting comments bitching, if you dont like the band, song, or album then why were u listening to it in the first place. everyone has an opinion on what they like, and dont like.

  • WOW, Thrice amazes me every album. I love them and this song is amazing!

  • Finally a song which says that love isn't a "beautiful feeling", "heart magic", "twin souls", and more shit. Love is a will prove.

For songs as it I love Thrice a fucking lot! (Y)

  • Im sorry but everything this inkremainsforever guy says is true and if you cant handle that then thats fine. Just dont be a bitch because you dont agree with it and spam his comments.

  • Beggars took me a couple of listens, but it's becoming one of my favorite records ever, I think it's giving Vheissu and The Illusion of Safety a run for their money. That's the beauty of Thrice. Three completely different sounding records, yet they are all amazing in their own unique way. Plus who wants to listen to bands where every song/album sounds the same, that's just my humble opinion.

  • Lol. You too, just chill. Anyone can say whatever they want to say. They can not be a fan of Thrice, but they do listen to their music. There might be a reason behind it. Let us all just enjoy the good music. =D

  • @gabefox i like how you think =D

  • this song is very very good

  • one of the best bands i've ever heard. All aspects of their existence are top of their class. Music, lyrics, emotion, energy, live shows... everything.

  • u must know everything so i cant talk to you

  • american should lead the way

  • lead you to the gas chamber where you belong!

  • @allehoboys LOL. I'm curious as to what statistics you have to support this because The Alchemy Index sold 28,000 copies in its first week and debuted at number 24 on the Billboard 200 chart, and it topped at number five on the iTunes top-selling albums. They haven't been "kickass punk" since like Identity Crisis - or MAYBE The Illusion of Safety, both of which never even charted.

  • sales don't mean shit! they don't make albums to to get in the charts you fool. thats for pop and r&b shit. they sell albums because they have a message to get across

  • who cares about sales, the music is good, maybe you dont like this style, but this is what they want to play, they dont do it for the money

  • Uh ... duh. I'M not the one that said they should do what sells, but allehoboys said "its seriously killing their sales" I was just making the point that they're actually selling BETTER now than they used to ... obviously people like their new stuff.

  • So basically what your saying is they should sell out and cater to what people want to hear....wow...do you know anything about punk moral...anykind of rock moral...just fucking moral in general??? Dude do you really think the average person knows what is good? The average person likes Brittany Spears, the average person supports Americal Idol....Do you want that to be what the music industry turns into...a bunch of talentless fucks making horrible music for money?

  • Comment removed

  • The media tells our "pop culture" what is cool to like and what is talent. The average person does not know there ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to talent and what is actually good, technical and well written. They just want something to tickle there ears and feel cool doing it! Popularity DOES NOT denote talent! Yeah they were better before, but real music is personal and if your good at it people can sense its quality and you make it on your own esteem without selling out!

  • the basic of punk was to play what you wanted to play, and not fall into the norm, so basically their still a "punk" in that aspect, they do what they want and love what they do

  • Comment removed

  • Broad statement really...thats why they say punk is dead because it doesnt follow the same basis as it used to...and really at the end of the day they fasioned themselfs into there own type of pop culture thereby cancelling the entire basis of punk and its moral....its become tainted and pretty and conflicts with its own ideals in almost every way....so I guess I kind of agree to disagree :P

  • apparently someone didnt like what I have to say and marked it as spam...if you want both halfs of my comment you have to read the 'spam' if this was you....fuck you! Its not my problem you dont like the truth!

  • Lyrics in the description are wrong:

Because love is a loyalty sworn, not a **BURDEN** for a moment.

  • @blargh039 *burning, the cd comes with lyrics which u obviously dont have lolz

  • everything thrice does is incredible

  • I like songs like deadbolt

but lyrically this song is just like =0

  • that a positive =0?

  • Have to say Im a hardcore Thrice fan regardless...but I really and truthfully miss the old Thrice. There old music use to have me swelling up inside. I guess theyve found themselves now and this is them. But they could at least put one good "Melting Point of Wax" song on here just for the old fans. But even still THRICE ALL THE WAY, YOU WILL NEVER DIE! THANK YOU FOR ALL THE GREAT MUSIC YOU GAVE THE WORLD!!

  • yeah, but even the artist in the ambulance as an entire album wasn't all that hardcore. it has some b.a. riffs, sick drums, great vox, but it's not a hardcore record by any means.

a real hardcore album would be "black sails in the sunset" look it up. the definition art in music.

  • to name an old AFI album as "hardcore" is kinda weak.like really you couldn't think of anything else? What about ANYTHING by sick of it all? Agnostic Front?Hell even Hatebreed!(call them metal and I'll fucking slap you!) But AFI? And black sails? Really? all the albums theyve done and you name the start of there turn to mainstream punk? Not "Very Proud of Ya?" or Shut your mouth and open your eyes"? I belive those were the pinicle of there hardcore career. After that they just went punk, then gay!

  • have you heard the sond daedelus? that is the answer to your melting point of wax problem.

  • yea, wouldn't kill to have one like "deadbolt" or my favorite, "hoods on peregrine"

    :D

    still love em though.

  • Comment removed

  • advance records??? is that what the voice says after "someone"

  • @LostN0WFound it says "your listening to a vagrant records advanced promotional stream" its a copyright thing that vagrant records did because this version of the cd wasnt released it was all pirated. So the pirated early version has this on all the songs.

  • Tgus soing is truly amazing, and your blame thrice for growing up andf into move phases of life. we can't all but 15 year old writing about highlove lives. The unstramental is amazing, and so are they. Vegger is amazing and so it this album, ESPECIA:LLY this gon.

  • Good song, but the older stuff was better, I believe. Yeah, this new stuff is cool, but Beggars certainly does not sound like Identity Crisis, or Vehissu. Not saying it's bad, it's just not the same.

  • Identity Crissis in the best, and i Admit Vehissu never got my attention.

  • To put it simply... I think that all of Thrice's stuff kicks ass!

  • Seriously? o.o You like both The Alchemy Index, and Identity Crisis? :o

  • Nickelback hasn't evolved lol

  • This is a pretty good song, actually. I was worried, as the majority of the previews I'd heard from Beggars seemed to be way too soft. This one, however, actually has an impact--the lyrics make you think, and it's a catchy tune. Though, personally, I like the messages in their earlier albums. (Of course, I do own The Alchemy Index and Vheissu, but still.)

And, obviously, I love the message in Identity Crisis. (If you're a closed-minded douchebag like many neo-Thrice fans, then shove off.)

  • fuck yeah thrice is back on the ball for sure, love this tune.

    cheers

  • I just saw them last night at the Norva,

and they were pretty dang good.

I'd never heard any of their songs before, sooo I was impressed =]

    I like this.

  • best song on cd

  • love is a choice... finally a song that says it, thank you thrice... I've been trying to tell others-- so many are led astray by the world's belief that it's just a feeling.

  • Wow.. do you only know how to take lyrics literally?

  • ? I may be misunderstanding your statement...

...but most of this world believes Love is only a feeling and not a choice that must be stood by... especially in marriage.

I rarely hear of any song who claims their love is a choice, so hearing Dustin's lyrics on this makes it that much better.

  • I'm saying, you're taking the words for their literal meaning. Look beyond the words to discover the artist's true meaning.

  • These lyrics are not that well hidden...

The point of the song to me---IS that love is a choice. Dustin is saying no matter what happens I'm not like the rest of the people, I won't leave you behind and I'll never been like them... he's claiming he understands that love is a choice and his choice is to never abandon despite whatever "storms" may come...

What do you hear that I dont?

  • What I hear? You sure you wanna know? The song's about a guy whose heart's been broken by so many fucking fakers in his entire life--you know, those people who tell you "I love you", then fucking break your heart if you don't buy them x item. Essentially, human trash. The guy's fed up, but despite all that fucking BULLSHIT he's dealt with, he's found someone he believes in--someone he promises that he'll never do to what those people in past did to him.

  • I'm sorry you hear it that way--but it seems this may be a more personal song to you than I thought. Open to interpretation though.

Dustin is married, and does write much of his lyrics based on Biblical verses and a belief in Jesus Christ... in an interview he said this album was very focused on the human condition today...

This should be personal to many--because the current human condition doesn't wish to believe love is a choice that one must endure through---in marriage(ring reference).

  • It's not really a personal song to me. Fact is, I'm not even going to buy Beggars. I just can't stand people with bloated heads, as I'd assumed yours was. However, it does seem that I may have been mistaken.

However, I tire of this game of dreading to look in my comments for fear of yet another person taking what I said seriously.

    It's the internet.

    Seriously.

    Leave me the hell alone.

  • ^ this is truth

  • Thrice is the freakin best man, I love where they're going. It makes me happy to be a Christian, knowing that they're reaching the lost through their music. I love them.

  • They're not a Christian band, dumbass. <_<

  • probably my favorite song on the album

  • thrice ages like fine wine.

  • indeed :)

  • Yeah... nah. I'd have to say that for a band that's been releasing albums for about 8 years, they've evolved quite a bit. However, it appears as though you're saying you disliked their early work. That's fine if it's true, however, please don't state your opinion as fact. Only intellectually lazy people would do that, and I am certain you are a very capable and intelligent person. God bless, and glad that you're a Thrice fan.

  • it ages with fine wine. the older the wine the better it tastes. as thrice grows older and more mature, their music grows and gets better and better. Long Live Thrice.

  • Wow. Thrice just keeps getting better and better.

  • dustin and riley were right, you can't help but want to move to this album.

  • I really like the lyrics to this song and to wood and wire.

  • WHAA!? i dint even know thrice had a new album out !! :-0 omg im such a douche!! im liking the new album, thanks for uploading it!!

  • This is one of the few bands i look forward to seeing what they do

  • I wish someone would do an acoustic cover of this. Kina Granis maybe. The lyrics of this song are totally what sell it.

  • Is gabefox the new thricex3?!

    Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?

  • hahaha....I wonder..

  • if only afi improved like thrice did...

  • I couldn't agree more with this, because in my opinion, AFI became poppish and shit.

  • @roldlox64 Ha no shit! Both Thrice and Brand New were amazing back in the day, and as I've grown so has their music. Just about everyone else from that era is dead and gone.

  • man, I've wronged so many people. I was one of the vultures he talks about. weak and blind. I'm sorry. I will die before I screw someone over again.

  • God damnit Thrice. This is awesome. Read the lyrics, even apart from the great music, the song is beautiful on its own.

  • Wow great song, gotta go pick this up

  • man... this song is badass.... can thrice get any better..

  • they are constantly getting better. So yes, they can. It seems an impossible feat, but it can be done.

  • thanks for uploading this album. thrice rocks

  • fuck i cant wait for this album to come out. i am gonna buy it :D

    this song is beautiful :)

    thrice always amazes me :)

  • Fucking today!

  • besides that, their new album is really amazing.

  • The intro reminds me soooo much about the band " Tool "

  • it reminds me of A Whisper by Coldplay.

    but i love this song.

  • I hate Coldplay. Thrice is WAY better. Coldplay is hardcore overplayed and overrated. Thrice is awesome cause they're popular enough to be well known, but they don't get caught up with all the other shiz on the radio.

  • i like both, i'm just saying the beginning reminds me of it. i'm not even a big fan of A Whisper.

  • Thrice was rather hardcore in their fist few albums, the lyrics were still amazing though. I completely agree about their popularity though. :)

  • Haha yeah. If his voice wasn't so raspy he'd probably sound like Maynard.

  • dude... i love em for that fact. its always something new..

  • This is what I like about Thrice, they always sound different in every album they produce.

  • so true, favorite band, but since their albums rarely come out in my country I need to go somewhere else to get them, got every ep wish I was there :(
