Gill Netting for white fish In Lapland, Finland

Hello, I am from northern minnesota and i am interested in gill netting for whitefish and cisco but i have neverdone it if you have any tips or sources of information it would be greatly appreciated. what size gill net are you using? What type of areas within a body of water do you target for whitefish?

we use 45-50 mm nets. one net is 30 meters long and 180 cm deep (wide). The net thickness is 0.17 mm to 0.2 mm.

in the summer, whitefish live in deep holes, so we set nets in the deepest parts of the lake. in the fall, the fish spawn close to the shoreline. Nets were set in a lake perpendicular to the shoreline. Usually deployed at 9 pm and checked the following morning at 8 am. we've been to Duluth and Minneapolis. Mall of America water park was great.
