When I first subscribed to Clear Wire 4/2007 the service rocked. I got Clear Premium Service and was very satisfied. Because my son, and a friend of mine was living with us we upgraded to Clear Premium Plus or 2.0Mbps. The service was still great until last year. Now the service is "throttled" and if we download too much or watch too much video then we get throttled to 256Kb or slower. Not acceptable and YES they will tell you this and its in the new AUP dated 01/06/2009. Canceling service.

Clearwire has the fastest laptop card avaliable, 1.5 download and 256 upload speeds, Aircard will get you 500k download if your lucky and the sun and moon are in the right spot and saturn is ligned up perfectly.

the best way to get good service is to see witch company serves your area best in new york and new jersey att sucks,

verizon works best in ny and nj but I'm not sure about any were else. i haven't tried clear wire, but i know that att and verizon are like day and night.

clearwire isnt all that bad, I use it, it not as fast as I wish it would b, but it works for me until I can get something better.

Dude, take a look at your signal strength with the Verizon card. You have NO bars. Of course its going to be slower. Take it to a better recetion spot and its much faster. I worked there for 9 years. I use a v740 aircard on my laptop and am running arount 1200 most of the time and I only have 2 to 3 bars.
