OK, I can see why janitors want more income and better jobs. Who doesn't?? But, you cannot get blood from a turnip. If the landlords are making incredible amounts of money and not adequately compensating their workers, it's reasonable that they should receive more income/benefits as a share of prosperity. However, reality is that fascist central govt is controlling the market to prevent entrepreneurs from rising and producing real wealth. Monopoly via govt is central problem here.

It does not matter if it is a 20 billion dollar industry or a 100 billion dollar industry or whether or not the industry has the capacity to pay. They are trying to push their labor cost as low as possible. They don't care about your costs of living. You should be pushing for the highest wages you can get. That is the only way you can get close to a wage rate that reflects their profits

Your data is far to broad brush to be meaningful in terms of establishing causality.

Keynesian Golden Age? Far easier to associate the "good times" with the post WWII rebirth than any particular gov't policies.

Washington Consensus? France and Britain's unemployment can be better explained by the shift towards socialism.
