The 300zx z32 won lemans in its class . there was rumors of it having around 1000hp and thats track horsepower. Not blow up on a dynojet numbers. How many 3000gt's do you know that dont have issues lol. everything breaks on them. You about need 5 of them to keep one running.

uhmm... super hicas IS all wheel steering -_- rear wheels turn out the opposite direction of the front wheels when steering. and super hicas was in ALL the twin turbo models(only TT models had 300hp) only N/A 300ZX didn't have hicas and that was 222hp.

Jonathanowns you my friend know nothing about cars what so ever. the only thing the 300zx has going for it is that its lighter. the 3000gt vr4 has more hp has awd (all wheel drive) and aws (all wheel steering) yes there is a difference, so it will handle a hell of a lot better. hp is 300 for the 300zx and 320 for the vr4. and ask any regular person which car looks better and 9times out of 10 they will say the 3000gt. sorry to let you down

Maybe you should look up some stats on the 300ZX before you tell someone they know nothing about cars. How about HICAS for instance? That was the 4 wheel steering system Nissan put in the Z32 Twin Turbo. The vr4 is better looking? That's subjective, your opinion. The vr4 had more horsepower to try and compensate for its extreme weight. There's a reason why the Z32 is still a highly sought after car, not the vr4.

Not to mention the tiny drivetrain in the 3000 has to be beefed up to hold the power where a stock Z's drivetrain is good for over 700hp. Also.. the 300ZX has HICAS (Hi Capacity Actively Controlled Steering... aka All Wheel Steering). And sorry to be the one to tell you but AWD has more drivetrain HP loss than 2WD. This is forza2..and this was a mess around video...we weren't even trying. The 300zx would have won in real life because BMI did a test with these cars on Tsukuba back in the 90's. The 300zx won. Forza doesn't have the HICAS in game because forza2 is well..kind of fake haha...

umm...it all depends on driver skill too. My dad beat vipers, corvettes, and porsches with a miata at thunder hill last year...it's all about driver skill. I would rather have a 300zxTT, not because I had one, but because they look better, lighter weight, have more aftermarket parts avaliable. And the parts that are avliable, are easy to get. Unlike the 3000gt. The car just wasn't Mitsubishi's best car. I'd rather go for an Evo. if anything Mitsubishi. But I like Nissan the best. .=)

The 300ZX has a 4 wheel steer system called HIVACS, most Japanese sports cars from that era had 4WS. 4WD doesn't mean the car will handle better and it also means that the more horsepower is lost in the transmission. The 3000GT was often considered to have poor handling due to it's excess bulk where as the 300ZX was often considered to have very good handling, the version in the video looks to be the SWB version which was around 200kg lighter than the 3000GT.
@Cursedfenix zx looks better (to me).. zx has hicas similar to the 3000gt's awd, similar cars overall and its too close for someone like you that likes 3000's better and someone that likes 300's better to be able to contradict what everyone else will say, both are head turning cars and it should be left at that.. just realized your comment was over a year ago

@Cursedfenix 300zx also has aws. just sayin. but only between 20 and 75 mph and i think its only 1 degree of steering. idk if forza simulates this on either car. but from what i know most people who race their 300zx's turn off aws on the track. so im not sure how much it really helps

Dude , i appriciate ur effort to analyse stuff , but im not kiddin its a proven fact, FWD accelerates way faster , because u can apply all the hourse power you have in the engine at once at launch , without makin the wheels spin, because the power is divided to four tires instead of two FWD never spin and tranlate all that power down the shafts into forward motion, in RWD some of that power is lost as spinning forces in the tyre and heat from the burn out, and preciuos time is lost.
And by FWD i mean , FULL wheel drive NOT front wheel drive , cuz full wheel drive is different from AWD (all wheel drive) as u cant control it as in 4by4 suv's.
OK.. you should stop talking. FWD = Front Wheel Drive, AWD = All Wheel Drive, RWD = Rear Wheel Drive, and 4x4 used for trucks and is usually able to be disabled. AWD like the VR4 has a much greater drivetrain loss. So before you start thinking that you are smart, you should try and brush up on your knowledge. You put a good set of radial on any RWD car and the AWD losses its advantage. That is proven at the track. You see alot more RWD car running low numbers than AWD. Sorry about your luck
acc is higher in AWD not matter what, dont bullshit me about radials, and drive train losses, the disadvantage is more weight which slows down pushing the car faster at higher speeds , but launch is for AWD no dispute.
well... since you pick up a tenth of a second in the quarter mile for every 100 lbs lost. Weight effects the lower end too. And radials do alot. now on the street is a different story.

I respect the 3000GT, but you cannot overlook the fact that the 300ZX has been a car being perfected from the 60's. There is alot of weight to be lost in the Z as well. I still would say that it would come down to preference. I love my Z. I have driven a 3000GT... I just dont feel as "At home" in the driver's seat. The Z is almost molded to fit the driver. Its really a great feeling car to drive. If you have not driven one personally I suggest that you give it try.

yes if the 300zx is moded. 3000gt is a really capable road race car. the stock one did over 2 sec faster lap time in tuskuba than 300zx stock. you see in magazins too that 3000gt has fater laptime than 300zx and it's also a little quicker than nsx. and that with that small wheels and soft suspension. when you start moding it then it become really quick, but no one really see the potential of the 3000gt. with the new parts it can be as fast as r35 gtr and much faster than older skylines and rx7.
my zx is slow as fuck trust me i just got it like in august and the only thing i put in it is a cold air intake. lol it has a messed up injector and it runs kinda slow im workin on making it faster but trust me the 3000gt is not all that fast the engine is fast but the car is heavy as hell

They don't make 300z's anymore. The 350 is a completely different car. Mitsubishi quit making the GTO because of lagging sales not poor driving performance...the same reason Nissan quit making the 300. Mitsubishi already had a top end replacement in the Lancer Evolution and consequently had no need to update the GTO.

The 300ZX has a 4 wheel steer system called HIVACS, most Japanese sports cars from that era had 4WS. 4WD doesn't mean the car will handle better and it also means that the more horsepower is lost in the transmission. The 3000GT was often considered to have poor handling due to it's excess bulk where as the 300ZX was often considered to have very good handling, the version in the video looks to be the SWB version which was around 200kg lighter than the 3000GT.

@Cursedfenix 300zx also has aws. just sayin. but only between 20 and 75 mph and i think its only 1 degree of steering. idk if forza simulates this on either car. but from what i know most people who race their 300zx's turn off aws on the track. so im not sure how much it really helps

Actually ask any regular person which one looks better and 10 times out of 10 they will say the 300zx. 300's still turn heads but nobody gives two shits when a 3000 gt drives by. Besides, one of them made Automobile mag's list of 25 most beautiful cars of all time and the other well, didn't. Just for the record rear wheel drive is superior. The best performing cars in the world are RWD.

Actually, most car enthusiasts would argue the 300ZX looks much better than the 3000GT. The Z was on Automobile Magazine's 25 most beautiful cars list, ranked higher than some Ferrari's. The 3000GT never made that list. So your logic seems a little flawed there. Also, ever heard of HICAS? Yea, 300ZX's had four wheel steering too. As for 'aws' as you call it, people tend to delete that feature because it is horrible on track. 20hp doesn't add up to a better car, and RWD is more fun.

Hey, I'm x300zxTT Guyx. I got on here to see if anyone even watches this video anymore. This video was a test video, (1st one made)You can tell we were messing around. Dude , i appriciate ur effort to analyse stuff , but im not kiddin its a proven fact, FWD accelerates way faster , because u can apply all the hourse power you have in the engine at once at launch , without makin the wheels spin, because the power is divided to four tires instead of two FWD never spin and tranlate all that power down the shafts into forward motion, in RWD some of that power is lost as spinning forces in the tyre and heat from the burn out, and preciuos time is lost.

OK.. you should stop talking. FWD = Front Wheel Drive, AWD = All Wheel Drive, RWD = Rear Wheel Drive, and 4x4 used for trucks and is usually able to be disabled. AWD like the VR4 has a much greater drivetrain loss. So before you start thinking that you are smart, you should try and brush up on your knowledge. You put a good set of radial on any RWD car and the AWD losses its advantage. That is proven at the track. You see alot more RWD car running low numbers than AWD. Sorry about your luck

acc is higher in AWD not matter what, dont bullshit me about radials, and drive train losses, the disadvantage is more weight which slows down pushing the car faster at higher speeds , but launch is for AWD no dispute.

well... since you pick up a tenth of a second in the quarter mile for every 100 lbs lost. Weight effects the lower end too. And radials do alot. now on the street is a different story.

agreed, but we both know that the GT in 3000gt stands for grand trismo , which is luxury touring ,made for street not track, the AWD in it is ment for cornering and better handling and over all wieght is not looked at when makin the gt, people who gutted their cars out got more than 400lbs there's a ton of stuff extra in this car, also eliminate drivetrain lossed by puttin carbon fiber drive shafts, anyways you want to look at the 3000gt that was really produced to kick ass which never .......

I respect the 3000GT, but you cannot overlook the fact that the 300ZX has been a car being perfected from the 60's. There is alot of weight to be lost in the Z as well. I still would say that it would come down to preference. I love my Z. I have driven a 3000GT... I just dont feel as "At home" in the driver's seat. The Z is almost molded to fit the driver. Its really a great feeling car to drive. If you have not driven one personally I suggest that you give it try.

yes if the 300zx is moded. 3000gt is a really capable road race car. the stock one did over 2 sec faster lap time in tuskuba than 300zx stock. you see in magazins too that 3000gt has fater laptime than 300zx and it's also a little quicker than nsx. and that with that small wheels and soft suspension. when you start moding it then it become really quick, but no one really see the potential of the 3000gt. with the new parts it can be as fast as r35 gtr and much faster than older skylines and rx7.

They don't make 300z's anymore. The 350 is a completely different car. Mitsubishi quit making the GTO because of lagging sales not poor driving performance...the same reason Nissan quit making the 300. Mitsubishi already had a top end replacement in the Lancer Evolution and consequently had no need to update the GTO.
