That is ridiculously cool, i dont suppose you have gotten a better camera since you made this video, as i would love to see the cabinet in hd (or slightly better video at least) : )
thats cool dude! I am looking into building my own MAME cabinet but I also have a dreamcast I never knew i could do this as well! thats great! nice job!
The controls are Happ. I didnt know about sanwa or seimitsu at the time I built this or else I would have used them. My newest cabinet (which I will post a video of soon) has Sanwa parts
well I didnt hack a dreamcast controller. I used like a mad cats or a pelican brand. It has wires sticking out of the circuit board so I just cut into those and crimped on some wires to extend to the arcade buttons. No solering required. I never had any problems with shorting it out suprisingly
5 stars, I love it, how have u done to put the VMU on the top of the machine? r u using a oficial arcade sticks? (I´ve 2 oficials arcade sticks). Thanks and very very good Job.
The joystick and buttons are arcade quality from Happ Controls. I ran the wires to a DC controller that I took apart. The VMU is conected to the internal circuitboard of the controller. The wires are conected from that down to the buttons. Its really hard to explain without actually seeing it.
Actually the monitor is horizontal. Its a Widescreen, so actually Ikaruga isnt really the best game to show off. Zero Gunner 2 and Guilty Gear X look great because those games fill the entire screen.
Have you a guide for the vmu i am planning to make one

Very, VERY cool. Ikaruga looks very good on that monitor... but being a vertical oriented monitor I'd imagine not much else would look as good (?).
