Evolution was ok but I don't get it why they did the following to evolution- Goku is a 16 year old instead of 5, Roshi is like 30 and lives in an apartment instead of a beach house, no turtle, oolong, and paur, chichi wasn't daughter of the ox king, and agent mai (emperor pilaf's officer) was piccolo's partner

This really captured the comedy of the original. When Hollywood does remakes, they should understand that people are only after what the characters will look like if they make it into real life and shouldn't change the soul of the original for the sake of their so-called "artistic" interpretation just like the did with Dragon Ball Evolution. DBE was too Americanized that it just ended up lame since everybody who knows Dragon Ball Z (which is everyone) likes it as it is.
