The kid should have been taught not removed. Most remarks are a kid jumping on another & the other saying "get off me you fag" or "what are you gay?" not directed to anyone because of sexuality, most likely someone whos not homosexual. Not meant to be Anti-Gay. If one kid calls another fat that doesn't mean he's anti-fat or wants to see him harmed. I'm shorter than all the boys in my class, those that call me runt are insensitive but don't hate me. Teachers need to teach the kids not remove them

@Ramubay How naive to think that language is exempt from ideology. It is ideology itself, in this case in the form of discrimination, that makes language seem unharmful. Words have won wars: what made Hitler so powerful? Goebels, right? What made Churchill so powerful? His ability with words. Jokes are not as innocent as they seem to a naive listener. Words win wars, and most winners are unjust, only powerful. Those who call you runt may not hate you, but they show disrespect, which hurts.

These are kids, not world leaders, there's a BIG difference (and how about updating your references to the 21st century). The teachers were either idiots are lazy asses for not being able to teach the kids what they did wrong. Most teachers are no longer dedicated to the students, only to what the union says is the min. they have to do for their paycheck. We hear THAT every day in school.
