@GunWebsites ive fired this, or a really similar, rifle before, but i couldnt use the rear sight, it was too small, did u have any problems like that?
i used to use a gun identical to this for target shooting here in england and won the under 21 title 2 years in a row with an average of a 94 on a 10 target card with 10 cards per comp and i was 17 and 18 when i won them. very good target guns and very accurate when set up and sited in
not a 64ms, a ms specificlly designed for silhouette does not have or need peep sights, does not come with a hand stop rail on the botton, also this action is a 54 action, you can tell by the firing pin sticking out the back of the bolt. this is a 54 action designed for posisition shooting, like in the olympics, although this is a more club level rifle, got some age on it too. nice rifle just not a 64 and not a MS.
I actually just shoot one about 2 hours ago. These rifles are among the best .22 caliber bolt action rifles i've ever shot. I like its accuracy and its super light trigger. You definitely get your money's worth when you buy one. I actually just shoot one about 2 hours ago.
You are kidding, right? The 10/22 is fun toy but you can´t hit shit with it unless "shit" is the size of a football. The anschütz shoots singlehole at 50 yards. Now try that with a 10/22 that that spreads like birdshot because of a substandard barrel, a pisspoor trigger a.. well its really not good at anything apart from being cheap.
@sgthl i did that today kinda. i went to a small little unknown nra range (.22s only) and i brought my 10/22 and wasn't even getting on target, then i used the range masters 1988 winchester olympic rifle and shot a 94 with 3 x's everyone else was using the range masters anschutz rifles and shooting pure 90+
@MrRimfire1 shows some one who has a gun is not a gun guy. anschutz is the world standard in accurate rimfire. a 10 22 with a 1000 in upgrades may come close,MAY come close. mostlikely will be a fun gun that cost 1279,oo
@QRNPTBUZ its not 500 quid, they shoot these at my local gun club and i was asking some of the shooters what the rifle costs and they said around £4000 new, i guess the price range is so big because the gun culture is a lot smaller here, there isnt as big a market, its all about suply and demand
Not really. This gun (and others from anschütz, feinwerkbau, sauer ..and so forth) shoots "single hole" if the ammo and the shooter is up to it. That kind of quality doesn´t come for free. 1000$ is rather cheap for a matchgun, they normally cost a whole lot more but the 64 isn´t exactly a new model.
Once you achieve a higher level of skill with consistent results the gun really does matter.
Man I honestly hate .22lr competition rifles. I used to take classes with rifles like this and the Marlin 2000. I asked my rangemaster if I could bring my CMMG .22lr Evolution Rifle with me to the range to see if I could compete with it, and it outperformed every customized rifle that was there. All I did was add an Eo-Tech 552 and I made a custom barrel out of 4150 with a 5R twist and 1/10 twist to give it better spin. THe only other thing I did to that was Nitride coat the barrel.
