Sick vid, I just have a question about the tako at the end, everytime i see people bite them, I caught one yesterday but just knifed it, where am I supposed to bite? And what's is the story about biting the eye? Mahaloz
@hawaiiansports808 Right on. Everybody thinks they're a pro and could do it better... But they ain't posting nice videos like this one to watch. It's all good.
one of my friends shot a 6 lbs uhu not too long ago, those things are delicious! I think they should spear an uhu when ever they get a chance, saying they because the camera person.
serious cuz??? monster tako...thats good size but i wouldnt call it no monster, gay music, nice manini brah? wtf with a speargun? ....amateurs i can get all o dat with a 3 prong....i bust laugh at donkeys like you guys..f'n turkeys! sh*t like dis pisses me off u guys tink u skindivers hawaiian skindivers, should all catch cracks! lol

OK first of all if u know get one tako inside the hole then your suppose use a three prong its more easy so your suppose have a speargun and a 3 prong at all times ok hope you do that next time.
@ikaikadiver1, you are right, 3 prong is more efficient. But I've never lost a tako using a gun. They aren't that hard to get, you just gotta find them. I don't carry 3 prong with me when I dive, I usually only go for fish dats why. But Tako tastes soo good, I can't pass it up if I find one.
i was in a school of palani like the one in the beginning of the vid and tried to shoot one palani with my big picasso and i ended up getting 3 at one time
First off, I love the videos. So I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say[I can see it blocking the camera] But as far as not having enough time to release a band or two on shooting pananu's is a little far fetched, because you actually have quite a bit of time when they're stationary up against the reef. I did notice the grade, they don't hold or have the punch as much as the coated one's, but still too much fire power for a shot that looked as if it was within 10ft.
I was thinking the same thing! It seems a little extreme to use three bands to shoot moana's or pananu's even if they were free swimming, but up against a rock or a coral head, a definate no, no. But besides that I enjoyed the vid's. It seems the tako was around 5lbs give or take a few.
A huge tako! How much did that end up weighing? And what kind of video camera are you using? The pictures are nice and clean (except for the waterline, as you mentioned).
Funny thing, the tako tore off the float coming back through the breakers, so um,, we will never know. The cam is a Bonica Snapper. Best you can get for it's price and size.
Guys just hate on u ah? U da man.

Looked at the vid again it was actually a munu instead of a moana, but never the less still a bit extreme for three bands.
jsimeona71 3 years ago
sometimes there isn't time to remove a band. It also blocks the camera. If you notice, these are the weakest grade too.
