@boysgotolder that my friend is called a krueger flap. its basically a leading edge slat that does not "slide" but unfolds from under the wing. There flaps are part of the main flap system, they are known as leading edge flaps, the flaps on the back are trailing edge flaps. the flaps fold inward on deployment of reverse thrust to prevent FOD ( foreign object damage). hope that helped!

@boysgotolder that my friend is a krueger flap. krueger flaps are basically extending slats at the front of the wing. slats slide out, krueger flaps "fold" out. so there are basically two types of leading edge flaps, slat and krueger. both with the same purpose, but different design. the slats on a 747 are krueger flaps. upon activation of reverse thrust, the krueger flaps fold inwards to prevent FOD (foreign object damage). the flaps at the back are trailing edge flaps. hope that helps!

The flight is big like a palace,food is great served many times and tasty.

The inflight entertainment has some sticky issues but really great to know that all Indians can now fly without transiting at silly European hubs on outdated foreign aircrafts-Swiss,Virgin etc where they treat you as aliens.
