@gunshops1 get the ipad 2. Honeycomb is a bit too buggy to be a livable os and ICS hasnt had a release date yet (though i could be wrong). The tab does have flash support, but it is a dying technology compared to html 5. in terms of io its the same as an ipad.

@gunshops1 The iPad too does not have a user replaceable battery, nor an SD card slot. With the Toshiba Thrive. You can buy a full sized SD card to literally triple it's storage capacity to 48 GB for only $100. The Thrive also has a full sized HDMI port, and a rubber back, user replaceable battery, and it is only $399. Apple products tend to be overpriced and when you run out of space, you have to buy a new iPad. You don't want to spend another $500 or more because of that instead of only $100.

Samsung have really stepped up to the plate in the past year or two. Their smartphones, their TVs, their monitors, their camcorders and now, tablets. They are all pure quality. I have nothing but praise for Samsung, and would opt for one of their products every time, hands down. I have a Samsung Galaxy S II, a Samsung 3D Blu-Ray Recorder and a Samsung Series 7 46" 3D LED TV. Also hope to get a Tab 10.1 once they're released here in Aus!

I said that earlier when i was cleaning my Galaxy gtx 580 xtreme accelero plus hsf edition video card today while cleaning the top massive fan on top of my antec skeleton case ( & yes you CAN flip the fan to where it blows/sucks air UPwards instead of downwards contrary to all the noob computer complainer out there that bought it. just have to take out video card and slide the motherboard tray out most of the way to make room. holes are predrilled on both sides :D

I like a lot about the 10.1. What sets the ipad apart from all of these tablets is the lack of tablet based android applications. Without them, all you have is email, social media and youtube. Which gets no where close to justifying the 499.00 price tag. I'll check back in 24 months to see if this changes. Nice review btw.

I've used an android tablet before, and have seen tons of reviews on it, personally i don't understand what people find so good about it.. All android tablets I've seen don't have fluid performance, there is always some sort of lag, even if you hate apple, the HP touchpad & playbook perform exactly the same if not better then the iPad
