I'm not gonna lie, I absoultely hated 21st Century Breakdown. I'm an old school Green Day fan, and I really hate the new direction that the band is going in. Don't get me wrong, I loved American idiot, but I wish that they went back to their old sound.

I think It was December, or late november. And about your focus, they got new songs coming out, they played a secret show other day with 15 new songs, and posted lyrics to one on greenday.com. So im hoping new album late this year early next, or from a side project like FHT.

Green day also saved me when i was sucisidal :)

I am a 17 year old girl, and i am a total punk. i do agree that Green Day are sellouts, BUT. they pull it off. For those who dont know what a sell out is, its when your a punk, and when your punk you dont want to give into "society", and well green day did. all tho, they do a hell of a great job of it, Green Days new music isnt, the greatest. and if your a true green day fan you would agree. but even tho sellouts, green day will be one of the greatest bands to me, ever since i was 6 years old.

a true fan can pick out what they like and dont; therefore they have taste, and some prefer the play while YOU didn't like it- a true fan accepts others' opinions, and doesnt force theirs on other people, which i feel you're doing right now.

@IStabChavs Same here bro. I've seen the majority of Green Day's interviews. To me, they just seem like the only band out there that doesn't "follow what other people tell them to do." They are successful, they made plenty of albums, DVDs of their live tours, and they are just growing. After watching Bullet in a Bible, (Green Day's Live Tour DVD) they just controlled the damn concert. Green Day is Green Day. Music is music. And legends are legends.

Green Day inspires many people by their music, and how they produce it. Green Day has matured over the years, and they became a more broader band. You can't just assume Green Day by their "looks or appearance," you should take a look at their music. Green Day will be one of the few bands that will ever show heart, passion, and joy. Billie Joe, Mike Dirnt, Tre Cool, and the rest of Green Day's band members will be remembered. Green Day will be remembered as the- Best Alternative Band of All Time.
