The Bible proves itself to be true because of prophecy that has been fulfilled - this is why I keep telling people they need to read the book Great Controversy. When a hindu left his faith to become a sikh under the Guru's instructions its becuase Sikhism is the truth - not to pray to idols or many gods, when a muslim converted he had to give up his faith, Mohamed being the last prophet and the Koran the last and true testament - they cannot all 3 be correct. So if you believe Guru was sent from God to bring the new or correct faith - then you have to believe Sikhism is the true 1 faith.

The issue I have is this - not all religions can take you to God or contain all the truth when they all teach different things, different truths and at time contradictory truths - so either they are all wrong, or there is one path. Its not about whether I know Sikhism or not, or whether I prefer it or not. Its about what is the truth.

The question I have for everyone here - if Sikhism is not the true faith which came from Islam and Hinduism - then all Sikhs should g back to Hindu or Muslim faith. Why do not Sikhs go back to islam or Hindu faith?

You are misguided if you think its just an amalgamation of 2 other faiths. In fact read page 1136 of sri guru granth sahib (you know that book you never bothered to read) which cleary states that "sikhs are not hindus or muslims". Important fact, more people around the world, including America are converting to SIkhi then people from the Sikh faith are leaving. Actually very few Sikhs leave their faith, this guy is not that common. There is a big American Sikh population in New Mexico. They are made up of whites, blacks, Mexicans, and Indians.

I am not against Christians, I belive in Christ also. But what Christian need to know is at the Sikh Temples they feed the people for free. And they work together as a Community helping each other. In my City Abotsford BC Canada it is the Bible belt but we have 2 Sikh Temples. It is a fact that some of the Christians are coming to the Temple to eat because there is no food kitchen in most of the churchs. The Churchs can learn something from the Sikhs about Service to God and the people. Edward

Christ is the 2nd person of the Godhead. Jesus is the other Man , Christ is the inner teacher of each person.In the same way as in Sikhism Guru Nanak is the other teacher but inner teacher is called Sadguru .

I understand what the problem is . The Christian teach in there Churches that Jesus is God Almighty creator of heaven and earth . But this is a big lie. If the Granth Sahib is not the word of God - why are you then a Sikh? In Islam the Koran is the Word of God - the Gurus contradict the Koran - so who is right? Sikhism contradicts other religions and if God sent the Guru why contradict other religions? And why set up Sikhism if all paths lead to God? It seems to me that God has created more confusion then if we believe what you are saying? When a hindu left his faith to become a sikh under the Guru's instructions its becuase Sikhism is the truth - not to pray to idols or many gods, when a muslim converted he had to give up his faith, Mohamed being the last prophet and the Koran the last and true testament - they cannot all 3 be correct. So if you believe Guru was sent from God to bring the new or correct faith - then you have to believe Sikhism is the true 1 faith.

The issue I have is this - not all religions can take you to God or contain all the truth when they all teach different things, different truths and at time contradictory truths - so either they are all wrong, or there is one path. @finalevents - Sikhism is not the only faith that will take you to god. According to sikhi, the highest truth is god. Selflessly serving others and remembering gods name at all times. Thats all it takes to be a sikh. A sikh doesnt claim to be the only truth. All paths (religions) lead to the same goal if followed with honesty and love for fellow man. You are misguided if you think its just an amalgamation of 2 other faiths. In fact read page 1136 of sri guru granth sahib (you know that book you never bothered to read) which cleary states that "sikhs are not hindus or muslims". I am not against Christians, I belive in Christ also. But what Christian need to know is at the Sikh Temples they feed the people for free. And they work together as a Community helping each other. In my City Abotsford BC Canada it is the Bible belt but we have 2 Sikh Temples. It is a fact that some of the Christians are coming to the Temple to eat because there is no food kitchen in most of the churchs. The Churchs can learn something from the Sikhs about Service to God and the people. Edward

I understand what the problem is . The Christian teach in there Churches that Jesus is God Almighty creator of heaven and earth . But this is a big lie. Jesus never said " I AM GOD ,worship me " Jesus refered to his God as his Father in Heaven. And that His God is your God also. The Christian Bible proves this. On a hindu TV program they said that there is one God and the different gods are a reflection of aspects of Gods nature. It is like Light from a rainbow comes from the same Sun light.

i was born in the uk 1955 and i went to sunday school and i have respect for jesus, i donot think i am a perfect sikh , having said that sikhism is unlike any other faith, you need to have a deep understaning of meaning of life, i bet you see god as a person with long hair and bread with his one son ..

The Idea that Sikhism supports Violence is a Lie . What it is in there history they had to protect there Faith from the moslem king that was forcing everyone to convert to Islam. The same thing happen in Christian history when the Moslems took over the Christian areas of the Middle east. I serve at one of the Sikh Temples . They show me love and respect. Never has one Sikh shown Violence toward me . The respect me for who I am. There is no pressure to convert to Shikism at the Temple.Edward

If the Granth Sahib is not the word of God - why are you then a Sikh? In Islam the Koran is the Word of God - the Gurus contradict the Koran - so who is right? You should be a Muslim or a Hindu brother - as you are confused. Whether you call it the Word of God or the Revelation of Gods will - the Granth Sahib does not come in line with the Koran or Hindu scriptures.

Listen up everyone - at this stage it is irrelevant what I think about the Bible - the question people are refusing to answer is whether the Koran is the Word of God, the Hindu scriptures the Word of God, and the Guru Granth Sahib is the Word of God?
