  • Funny, he's fidgeting all the way! :)

  • Forgive me, but what are we practicing?

  • @OverOrdinary1010 Useless idiocy. Tell the loser to go get a job and stop wasting people's time.

  • For real, Buddhism is deep unlike just proper appearances.

  • I see how his forehead changed during these years practice- it seems like a lotus sitting in front of his forehead-that is what it apears to me. I just read an article today about his specials when he was little...one mentions many people sees 3 lights shine on his head. I think after try to live like as expectations in his growing pain environment, he might loose some of his own charm. We should not compare him with Dalai Lama, they both unique individuals. Shine different ways.

  • I heard Karmapa wearing glass for lighting issues.....he might see different things then we can see......just assume

As for body languages,,,I do think real Karmapa is very anxious to fullfill his duty to his disciples and yet obstacles as mountains to be conquer before his teaches. Also, person who are more responsibilities have more to think about it. Not to say he is giving his knowledge every moment unlike the one who don't need to carry the vows- of course, life can be easy.

  • why do the both Karmapas, and The Dalai Lama, and most of the Tibetan masters are wearing glasses?

  • compare body language and attitude of both karmapas.. this one seems like trying too hard and nervous,. the rocking denotes insecurity and its certainly not a sign of one who practices meditation.

  • This is the real Karmapa.. but please post an english translation.

  • This is the real Karmapa.. but please post an english translation.

  • Thank you for this video.

Myself, I am a Falun Dafa practitioner. Falun Dafa or Falun Gong, is a cultivation system in the Buddha school. It is based on universal principles of Truth, Compassion, Forbearance. Since 1999 this peaceful practice has been brutally persecuted in China. People are put into labor camps, tortured and even have organs removed from live people, simply for following their belief.

    Thank you.

  • Funny how those who know the least talk the most

  • He isn't XVII Karmapa. XVII Karmapa is Thaye Dorje. This Karmapa was chosen by Chinese government.

  • @TheAldona9 if u pratice BUDDHA dann dont made such stupid comment

  • @TheAldona9 u are a nuts

  • Independent thinking is an ability that allows an individual to question information from an authority. Think for yourself. People and media sound like authorities because of their position or status in society. However, questioning them when something appears wrong or asking for further explanation about an idea produces positive results for both the inquirer and authority.

  • @TheAldona9 unfortunately ur so called -independent thinking were misleaded by some wrong sources .dont make any jugement easily but only if u got irrefutable proof ,

  • @TheAldona9

Exactly!!!!! The true XVII Karmapa is Thaye Dorje!!!

  • Good luck to shinikita!! He was meant.

    Good luck to you!

  • we love you but dont tary to be dalai lama thats all

  • Comparison will generate difference.

Comparing monks , etc. will generate disputes in the group.

    All should be avoided.

  • his facial features are very harmonious, like art, like the statutes of buddhas I've seen in museums, when I look at him I see that peaceful graceful beauty that streams from within

  • he is so cute!

  • lol I think your comment is cute.

  • I have seen this man live, baby. Can you imagine seen Paganini in concert and use the words cute to describe it?

  • i've seen him live too, one of his first public audiences when he escaped tibet. and yup cute can be used to describe him also powerful, brilliant, intense, fierce, holy, holy, holy.

  • he is cute yes. but what is he saying?

  • I can picture lots of young Tibetan ladies throwing thousands of khatas at HH Karmapa ;)

  • The video was produced by Taiwan's Life TV, that's why it's in chinese :)

  • Why is this only in chinese and not in english?

  • Gyalwa Karmapachenno

    Free Tibet

  • this was HH in taiwan wasnt it?

  • No, He was in India

  • This is a great video. I enjoyed watching. Another recognized reincarnated Lama of Gaden Monastery residing in Malaysia is H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche. Rinpoche lived in USA for many years and speaks perfect english. Very easy to communicate with and has much knowledge. Rinpoche was recognized at 7 months old. His father is Tibetan and mother is pure Mongolian royalty. Born in Taiwan, then taken to US and return back to Gaden in India. Very interesting. see website tsemtulku(dot)com. Great Lama!!

  • May the nectar of blessings of the glorious Buddha Karmapa showers and swiftly liberates all beings!

  • And WHAT does a glugpa monk look like, my dear tibchin? I am a Buddhist Monk in the Tibetan tradition and part of the Rime movement. The Rime movement is one where the student has teachers from ALL of the 4 Schools. So, what should I look like? Please inform.

    Peace,

Tenzin Chophak / Tulku Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche

  • Hahaha....

  • Ummmm... actually the Rime movement came about because of the Gelugpa oppression of the three older schools. Jamgon Kongtrul and Jamyang Khyentse Wandgpo were both worried about the power of Central Tibetan gov't and its habit of forceably converting particularly Nyingma and Kagyu monasteries to Gelug ones. (and yes Tibchin he does look like a Gelug, and he has no teachers from which he can receive a pure Kagyu transmission) The poor guy's being used.

  • Dear Changchub Dorje,

Nice at beginning but... Well, you are talking about that HH the 17th Karmapa doesn't have a teachers. Well, let me introduce some great masters in our Kagyu Linage. HE Situ Rinpoche, HE Gyaltsab Rinpoche, Ven. Thrangu Rinpoche, Ven Tenga Rinpoche, Ven Khenpo Tsultrim Rinpoche, Ven Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche etc... Tell me about urs one!

Only HE Shamar Rinpoche, Khenpo Chodrak Tenphel, Veru Khentse Rinpoche. That set??? Now tell me who is poor guy??

  • You forgot Ludhing Kenchen Rinpoche, but especially HE Chobgye Trichen Rinpoche, who was actually a living Buddha. He playd and important role in the recognition of HH Karmapa Thaye Dorje

  • Hey Auspicious Merit!

Do you think they are Kagyu Masters? haha They are Sakya Masters and any way, HE Chopgye Trichen didn't recognize Thaye Dorje as Karmapa. He has written a very clear note about that. He recognized Thaye Dorje to one other tulku. So see you in next.

    May Karmapa Bless every one....

  • Of course they are no Kagyu master. But Chobgye Trichen Rinpoche supported and had great respect for both HH Karmapa Thaye Dorje and HH Shamarpa. You can see pictures of Chobgye Rinpoche bowing down to HH Karmapa Thaye Dorje. And I'd like to know more details, if it's true that He recognized Thaye Dorje as another tulku.

  • My Dear Fren,

I didn't say that Chobgye Trichen Rinpoche didn't respect to them. He did & even I do, my dear. But one think about his recognize to Thaye Dorje as another tulku, I wrote mistake. Sorry for that but I have some proof that he didn't recognize his as Karmapa. If you want to know then Plz send me ur Email Id here... I will send you one copy of that.

    With best wishes

  • I already read in the past the letter written to the Dalai Lama where Chogye Trichen wrote that he has not recognized Thaye Dorje as the Karmapa. In fact, it is not his job to recognize him.Anyway, there is NO doubt that Chogye Rinpoche saw Thaye Dorje as the Karmapa. He often said that he is delighted to have among his disciples amazing beings as the Karmapa and the Shamarpa: "Like in the sky there are the Sun and the Moon; on the Earth there are Karmapa and Shamarpa". Sorry for my bad english

  • Thanks so much for sharing this very valuable speech given by 17th Karmapa on [ How To Practice Buddhism].

    Namo Amitabha !

  • Karmapa Chenno !!!

This Buddha's face is as clear as the waxing moon, so as like the thousand suns shining the glorious light; it shines equally through all the ten directions full of unbiased love and compassion.

Long life your holiness Karmapa !!!

  • Tashi delek!

please tell me how did you type this message in tibetan

    thank you

  • karmapa chenno!!!!!!

  • Thank you!

  • The most important of all is to begin your day with the aspiration that whatever things you do today will be free from all kinds of negativities. If one has this aspiration, come rain or shine, ups and downs, one will still think of the Triple Gems always. Besides the Triple Gems, one will not think of anything else. The Triple Gems is always is one's heart. This is the best and most suitable daily practice for lay Buddhists.

    --The End--

  • Thanks for the advice, highly appriciated!

  • Thank you.

  • When comes to dharma practice, it does not mean that it must be something verbal or one has to chant orally or to sit up straight to do meditation etc. The main focus of dharma practice is to subdue the defilements and to cultivate the mind. Hence, whatever methods that can be used to cultivate the mind can be termed as the dharma. For the lay Buddhists, one important method is to have a specific sadhana or fixed practice e.g. you can practice or recite a particular sadhana every morning.
