First turn, it's not blind but next one is ... I don't understand people who say it's the way a biker ride. I am a biker and I am happy to take corner with much more safe conditions. Don't cry if you fall and go to the hospital. Even if the car was faster, the bike would pass him so people shoudn't look for bad excuses I think.
Passing cars across the double yellow in blind corners. Good way to get a fellow motorcyclist killed when another rider comes through a turn as McDouche is passing cars. Had a jackass like that nearly hit me on Ortega doing the same stupid shit. I considered turning around at the next turn-out and finding his stupid ass to teach him a painful lesson. Squids better watch out who they piss off. Shit behavior like that is why cars occasionally run bikers off the road.

I know for me, Palomar is only 45 minutes away and free, and the track is 3 hours and several hundred dollars including gas/hotel, etc. But Palomar just isn't worth it. I never crashed up there, but had a close call that freaked me out. That, and my friend went over the guardrail right in front of me. Everybody that rides up there has a crash story. But the noobs, and even the old 'badasses' think it's cool to ride like that up there...it's not.
riding a motorcycle like this at palomar or any public mtn road is a good way to get killed. I used to ride palomar like this back in the day around 2000-2002, but it's not worth it. Track days are cheap enough and take all the stress out of sport riding and allow you to really enjoy yourself.

Palomar has LOTS of areas where you can pass that many cars. You just have to watch out for stupid squids on their brand new bike with their brand new gear. Almost got hit by one a couple of times
if you keep the bike engine revs in powerband, you only need a good two seconds to pass a car... if they're this slow, even less. So don't need much room.
My country is full of roads like that and everyone learns how to pass properly. With bikes, you can be sloppy and "crazy" because you need very little room due to warp-drive-acceleration :)
I still wait for straights though, I don't like being too close to a car while leaned over, little room for error (others')
Actually all canyon roads are blind corners. His was to. But hell I do the same thing on my bike. Really stupid, but you have some much adrenaline to dont focus right.
