Daniele is VERY good but personally Hedras Ramos kick his ass from here to China. First, back then Hedras was like 18 years old meaning that he is still developing an style. Also Hedras write his own music and his concept of improvisation is far superior to any of the competitors.

Jason Becker was the best guitarist ever but was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease and has been suffering for years. Daniele would've had my vote for champion. I think he was the best guitarist by far (but Jack and Muris were pretty close). Superior technique. The only reason why he lost is because people didn't like his composition. I can understand, but it's really a masterful composition imo.
Really needs those Boogified Petrucci-like rhythm guitars like the studio version. Still cool, but that version is awesome. This doesn't showcase the song as much. Still, when you're this good doesn't matter much good things will happen.

@tastytasters I probably spelt it wrong because it is not a word I use as common part of my everyday vocabulary...but its the 3rd or 4th (depening how you look at the modes) mode in the major scale. It has a flat second...which gives it a spanish or latan flavor depending on what chords its used over. :)

ive listened to all these guitar idol things and like seriously... this is the best as far as technique, shred, melody, musical depth, clean-ness, performance, etc. like it stands out from the crowd. this like gives me eargasms.
I'm rather confused as to how this is impressive... Lots of people can tap like that, fact that he needs to use the hair band trick rather detracts from his skill. IF you are not good enough to tap without string noise, skilled enough to manually mute the strings then you don't deserve kudos.
All these idiots goin "YOU JUST JEALOUS" have no knowledge of how to play guitar, most of my students can tap like that but if I caught them using the hair band i'd slap sense into them.

@devymetalforlife i can assure you when your this good at guitar you dont need people justification on your own technique, players like andy james use hairbands not only for tapping but for all aspects of thier playing hes an incredible player, heck he even made a video about people like you slating players that use them. 8 finger tapping is also not the easiest of techniques even when learnt to a high level its still exceptionally difficult to mute everything, thats why he uses a dampener.
Everybody gets to say what they want here....that is what's so great......to deny that this dude has some serious talent says a bit more about you than it does about him. Over analyzing his technique or him sitting in his basement is clearly your own self-doubt. im not a good guitarist but in my opinion this sucks. it doesn't get anywhere, just showing fast tapping and arpeggio. the capo is like cheating to eliminate the buzzing on the strings. the melody is like "whatever which way, then go for it".

@michaelpilot1000 thats actually just a hair band or something... keeps the strings muted/muffled so that there isn't any bad unwanted string noise while he plays those awesome and twisty guitar chops......
a capo(a different thing) is used to barre the strings (not used here..)....and it isnt as easy to move around as the band is .... :)

@tastytasters I probably spelt it wrong because it is not a word I use as common part of my everyday vocabulary...but its the 3rd or 4th (depening how you look at the modes) mode in the major scale. It has a flat second...which gives it a spanish or latan flavor depending on what chords its used over. :)

I'm rather confused as to how this is impressive... Lots of people can tap like that, fact that he needs to use the hair band trick rather detracts from his skill. IF you are not good enough to tap without string noise, skilled enough to manually mute the strings then you don't deserve kudos.
All these idiots goin "YOU JUST JEALOUS" have no knowledge of how to play guitar, most of my students can tap like that but if I caught them using the hair band i'd slap sense into them.

@devymetalforlife i can assure you when your this good at guitar you dont need people justification on your own technique, players like andy james use hairbands not only for tapping but for all aspects of thier playing hes an incredible player, heck he even made a video about people like you slating players that use them. 8 finger tapping is also not the easiest of techniques even when learnt to a high level its still exceptionally difficult to mute everything, thats why he uses a dampener.

im not a good guitarist but in my opinion this sucks. it doesn't get anywhere, just showing fast tapping and arpeggio. the capo is like cheating to eliminate the buzzing on the strings. the melody is like "whatever which way, then go for it".

a capo(a different thing) is used to barre the strings (not used here..)....and it isnt as easy to move around as the band is .... :)

@briansrl12 Alsos aying that I knwo nothinga bout music because I think shitty chromatic runs that realy have no musical sense in his pieces is not saying much about you. You are opinionated, and apparently stuck on yourself. Maybe if you pulled Quayel's dick out of your ears you could hear other types of music? Guys like Satriani and vai are keeping music alive...not bird man. :)

@metachozoite I never once insulted you personally so I take it offensively when you start using unnecessary profanity. I also never said one thing opinionated, but just stated musical facts. I also listen to more types of music than you. I was a classical musician long before I ever touched a guitar and my favorite ever is JS Bach. All you have ever mentioned is 80s metal and Vai and Satch. Vai is the only one you have mentioned who plays outside of a pentatonic scale. You are opinionated.

@briansrl12 Also just to let you know...I played at a guitar center today where I some how aquired a crowd of about 25 guitarists, and employees that loved what I was doing....I also met a 17 year old that could blow half of you away in 3 seconds....a lot of them said i sounded a lot like eric johnson...just thought you like to know...since i dont know anything about music and all.....

@metachozoite music isn't about fame man. You love the limelight and being center of attention just like 70% of the bands you have mentioned. Music is about personal EXPRESSION and conveying EMOTION, not how virtuosoic you are or how well you can copy other peoples musical ideas. If you can't appreciate how other musicians express themselves you shouldn't call yourself a musician.
