They shut down the gt3 because it was racing alone... in his class... Hybrid! if the Porsche won it was going be a problem... different technology... better but not yet accepted in motorsport... In petit le mans the car was not aproved and Porsche ran any way... they are testing the car... or not... 918 RSR is the next!!! I'm only guessing

Guys, I'm Kindof confused since I don't know much about this event.... Could anyone enlighten me ???? First of all Do they Refill the cars or they build them that way so that they can last 24 hours.... If yes then why do cars don't last.... If no... How can they possible last that long without a refill....??? I Apologise if my questions seem weird but as stated I don't now anything about this event....

Cars DO get a refuel in such event.

The driver is changed when he gets tired, of course he won't keep driving for 24 hours, but with at least a set of three drivers are required by rules, the more drivers, the more time is wasted in changing them, plus that drivers are allowed to get out of the car and be replaced by another driver during refueling.

But this car didn't stop because the lack of fuel, there was something with the engine, it's still a prototype (a test model) after all

Peugeot's last car died less than an hour at the 2010 24 Hours of Le Mans and it was running in second place chasing for first... but these races are 24 hour races... not 23 or 22... to win a 24 hour race... you need to finish it first!

Great job Porsche! Keep it up and hopefully next time finninsh first and I really hope you re-enter Le Mans and destroy the opposition from Audi and Peugeot with a hybrid car!

The Porsche GT3 R Hybrid was the lead of the pack in laps for the 24hr of Nurb. However the car started having problems from what I heard, and got called off from the race because it couldn't continue. If the GT3 R Hybrid didn't have problems it would have won for sure. The 24 hr races is more about reliability than speed. Winner = Most laps. Surprisingly the BMW M3 GT won took first place.
