  • "This is how Song of Storms would sound if the Gerudo people played it." I would've thought they were more aribic or at the very least middle eastern esc. the vidio was good though !!

  • This must've been when Link ate mushrooms in the forest

  • the legend of zelda sitar of time LOL!

  • nice! that was pretty good.

  • oh my god

  • MEditation storm!!!!!

  • The Gerudo's culture has strong parallels with Arabic culture. The music that plays in the Gerudo region (in Ocarina of Time) is very Spanish sounding, in Twilight Princess it has an Arabic feel.

    Sitars are Indian.

  • @PredatorFilmsInc Thing is, during the age of the Greek Empire, Spain was part of the Muslim Empire. One of the relics from that empire is algebra. Now as for complaining that they're using an Indian instrument.

They're playing the Song of Storms, you entire complaint is moot.

  • @69Kambash64 : Read the video description "This is how Song of Storms would sound if the Gerudo people played it.", music in the Gerudo region has either been Spanish or Arabic style, the Sitar is Indian.

  • @PredatorFilmsInc What you fail to notice is that Indian culture shares many parallels with Judeo-Islamic cultures because they both had influences in the same things. So they were right in saying Gerudo.

  • ooo that was cool :D

  • I want to play suitar so bad but they're hard to find and play

  • 12 people did not like this

  • @TheJosh1111111111111 No Shit?

  • Sitar Hero FTW!

  • haha go ucla ethno

  • they are truly beautiful instruments. such craftmenship it looks amazing. I play a lot of instruments, but hats off to you guys. Spot on by the way, sounded like it could have been some gerudo travelers sitting around a camp or something

  • wow, muy ustedes son muy buenas tocando =D

  • wow...Link is in some exotic lands now...imagine this in a game???

    How cool would it be???

  • Beautiful.

  • George Harrison playing Song of Storms in the Sgt. Pepper album.

    sorry... dreaming too much xD

  • I'm always thrilled and surprised to hear just how many ways and on and what a variety of instruments people play different Zelda themes!

    Wonderful, so wonderful.

  • Absolutely fantastic.

One of the most original and interesting reinditions I've heard.

    Greetings from Germany.

    Peace

  • nice

  • I know next to nothing about sitars, but as a Zelda fan and a player of more traditional instruments, I enjoyed the video! Ignore the people posting complaints or ignorance

  • "The magical sitar player speaks only the truth."

    :)

  • this is so well done!!

sorry but no offense when i noticed ur video on the left list b4 clicking

i thought the person on the left from our pt of view was a monkey...

im like 'freak, is that a monkey playing a zelda song?" lol

  • George Harrison approves.

  • @rafael502 i doubt hes played zelda though

  • @100vivitar I'm sure he plays it in heaven

  • I have no idea how sitars work, so im not sure if this was good or average =/

  • It seems soo right

  • Demyx???? Is that you or do you look different?

  • I think it's just amazing that this song could be played on a sitar. Personally, I thought it sounded really good and I give these people props for doing a really good job playing a song not really meant for the instruments they played it on.

  • Ummm I think that person is tone deaf because they are playing all the right notes.. It sounds different because... you know... instruments don't all sound the same....

  • i really like this version

  • Please make a longer version of this! This is really exotic, and at the same time very brilliant!

  • OMG!! Such a complicated instrument with sooo many voicings you have my respect for sure...Beautiful!!

  • Good job ! That looks like a hard instrument to play. And fuck all the haters on here, tell them to upload a better video of sitar playing if they're mad.

  • why are sitars inciting this amount of rage from people?

  • I greatly enjoyed this.

Can you do more LoZ stuff

  • DUDE this is so awsome keep the good werk and i LOVE middle eastern people! your curry is the best i ain't gon lie

  • aweshumm i wish we had this in band :(

  • 6 people aren't craving a Kakariko Curry right now.

  • Beccause sitars are epic.

  • @b4nt2k Do you know how sitars work?

  • @b4nt2k You should be less butt hurt about small things like this and smile more. It makes life better. =)

  • @AirplaneFoods Life's better with discerning tastes. I'm alive for a limited amount of time, and I can assure you that these 39 seconds, a mere .00000164890918% of the male life expectancy in the US, is not worth my time. Good day.

  • @b4nt2k If you want attention, go an search some friends!

  • @b4nt2k And yet you waste more time coming back again and again to comment on it. o-o Obsession~

  • @AirplaneFoods or just not do crappy remixes with failure instruments

  • @afrodamus "Remix"? Begone! Go and listen to your dubstep rather than criticize actual instruments!

  • @Axel5550 hhhhmmmmmm nope, this is america and i go where i please on this super internet. its a crappy remix and the fact that an instrument fails does not say anything about whether or not its an actual real instrument. it just means that that "real" instrument sucks and sounds like shit. and funny thing you mentioned dubstep...............i knew i heard that sound the sitar was making somewheres else. egads! thanks i forgot that a sitar is indian dubstep thanks for the reminder

  • Comment removed

  • @afrodamus Nah. This is just Youtube. The instrument works how it should and therefore cannot "fail" unless used inappropriately. I brought the term "actual instruments" in because you used the word remix, which is a term used with things such as techno, dubstep or any music made with digital instruments while the sitar is a traditional instrument that would make this a cover of the song.

Thank you for letting me know I can't be silly with my comments with you. And that you missed my point.

  • @Axel5550 nope, an instrument can still fail if it did not achieve its task, while that task may be to simply "play the song" yeah it did that but lets be honest if all we wanted was music and not good music we would be happy with dubstep remixes of johnny cash songs. the instrument failed at its real task which was playing the song well. and i wouldnt say "silly" for your comments but unclear like you said. but touche on the youtube comment you got me there

  • @AirplaneFoods well said! I cant get enough of your sitar to be honest!

  • @futurfry o_o i absolutely love eastern instruments/music, and i never said anything otherwise. i don't know how to play the sitar at all, this was my first and only time touching one, but i did spend a few years learning korean instruments, fun stuff.

  • @AirplaneFoods WOW i didnt mean to send that to you lol, it was for b4n2k!!

    Awesome video, keep it up!!

  • @AirplaneFoods I think he meant that towards b4n

  • @AirplaneFoods I think futurfry meant to reply to b4nt2k, but failed to click on the correct reply button. lol, now they both look dumb. :)

  • @AirplaneFoods i think he meant to reply to b4nt2k

  • @futurfry Why did you raged against AirplaneFoods because of a comment that was made against him?

AirplaneFoods is the people playing the Sitars, not the one with eastern western bullshit.

  • @GPazosL yeah that message wasnt for airplanefoods. Trolol sorry

  • @AirplaneFoods best youtube comment i've seen all day :)

  • Comment removed

  • @b4nt2k you're such an idiot... the original song is composed by an asian-.-

  • @Tabspooh They're using western harmony... you think Japan isn't modern? How insulting of you. They're been writing based off of Pythagoras' scale and its accidentals, through a tempered system, and into chromatic harmony.

  • @b4nt2k okay, it's you oppinion, but don't be so nasty! this guys made their own interpratation and if you don't like it, express it more politely (sry for the bad english, but I was sad, when i've read your comment).

  • @b4nt2k RACIST!

  • @b4nt2k You know Zelda was created in JAPAN. *cough cough eastern country cough* get the fuck over yourself and stop making America look so fucking awful

  • @b4nt2k

wow, you make Americans look really bad...

  • @b4nt2k U BUTT HURT ENJOY THE VID

  • @b4nt2k Fuck you. Really, why do you have to be such an asshole? Why are people on youtube such assholes?! I want an explanation! Good god, jack ass, you must be the most racist bastard ever, besides hitler! Besides, western harmony? Last I checked, zelda was originally made IN JAPAN, in the EAST, unless I'm seriously missing something here, and by western harmony you mean something else. I'll be surprised as hell if you ever get someone to go out with you, never mind getting laid!

  • @b4nt2k The song originated in Japan, which isn't exactly "western" and closer to where the sitar originated from then from where the guitar did, stop being ignorant, I'll admit I didn't care for it either but sitars are more then capable of making good music.

  • @DystruktoBoi1

You're an idiot. They're using the 12 tone chromatic system, which originated from Pythagorus' lyre (in the Ionian Mode, or 'major scale'). This happened in Europe. Classical music emerged. World is globalized. Everyone pretty much uses it unless playing some niche cultural/traditionals. The song was written by a Japanese guy, a guy living in modern times. The song uses Western Harmony. Rooted to Pythagorus.

  • @b4nt2k And the reason the sitars aren't playing the proper notes is.......? O wait they are. So your point really means nothing if your talking about how the music is played because they are hitting the right notes.

  • @AirplaneFoods how do they work?

  • @b4nt2k i dont know could you stop sucking your moms dick?

  • Can you make a full song version?? This is legendary stuff!

  • this is fucking amazing

  • looks like a flawed instrument, i.e. she has soo many movements to play one part , who invented that thing

  • I play sitar and would like to learn this. Do you have the notes?

  • @noobspwnatreality No, we played by ear. My friend had to tune all the strings though, to a western register.

  • @AirplaneFoods this is so cool ^^ sitars be awesome X3
