  • I love Emilie a ton, but why is she lacing it backwards?

  • nice, do you buy this on the internet ?

  • i <3 emilie autumn soooo much , shes my victorian idol, she gave me the courage 2 let my inner victorian out :D PLAGUE RAT!!

  • O.o Where'd you get that corset. I must get one of my own.

  • Nice :) <3

  • I love corsets long live corsets goth and Dita Teeze!

  • lol That's not a corset... and it's definitely not victorian or edwardian. I'm working towards a PHD in british history.

    -tightlacer and european history major

  • ok, well thank you for your input then.

    So what is it?

  • @HerxDarkxWonderland

It IS a corset... but its backwards :)

  • The "wayward" is here for a reason.

And yes it's not laced correctly, but it's still a corset.

  • @Alicendre 10 points for wayward girls. ;D

  • The whole sparkly roughness of this little film makes it super special

  • this is also real corset and its laced correctly!!!

  • ...she is doing...just my opinion, you don't have to mind me......

  • For the record, she laced the corset incorrectly. There are plenty of videos showing how to properly lace a corset, even in the 'related videos' section. Try "How to lace your corset" by jekitta, it's great.

Please note that I'm not trying to 'bash' Emilie Autumn, I'm just pointing out something that was done incorrectly.

(Also, a corset laces in the back with a busk in the front. This is really more of a bodice.)

  • For the most part, I was very inclined to agree with you, at first I would not have considered this a corset. However, depending on the time period, it might have been considered one. If you look at Edwardian "corsets" and Victorian-style corsets [the style that you are referring to *my favorite. I have one*] they are different. Of course, I'm no corset expert or anything. But I do know that EA owns Victorian style corsets as well, and she is a history geek so it is likely that she knows what

  • I stand corrected.

(Nice to know that someone out there actually knows their stuff about this, though. Besides, you know, experts and junk.)

  • I'm flattered, but actually, you are probably right. I really only recently started learning about corsets. I have always liked them, but I didn't know much until a few months before I bought one. I try my best to look things up and wrestle with technical terms...everything changes so much. The general definition of a corset may be one thing, and then the fashion industry borrows it to refer to other things, etc. etc.

But it is good to know that there are people willing to listen to

  • different opinions and actually consider them, instead of just being jerks. =] All I really know is that corsets and bodices were used for virtually the same purpose...but i believe that a corset's effects can be longer lasting. And displace your organs. ;] Your comments definitely put researching this to the forefront of my mind, though.

  • Sexy as hell. :-)~

  • where did you buy the corset? Nice video

  • lol, that isn't actually me in the video. However, I do know a website where you can buy Victorian-style corsets. They aren't like the one in the video, but they are still great, if you're interested. =]

  • cool, that be great! Whats the wesite?

  • wow pretty
