I was at this game, three rows back. It was incredible. I was a sophomore at Mizzou and the last time they'd beaten the huskers was when my parents were freshmen.

I go to KSU, but man Brad Smith was an amazing college quarterback, and very fun to watch. I was a huge fan, and Gary Pinkel ruined him, whether Missouri fans agree or don't agree. If he would have kept the offense the same instead of trying to change it Brad's junior year, Missouri would have been a much better team. I hope he makes it in the nfl because he is a great role model for kids.
The Tigers have only beat the Huskers twice in my lifetime (oddly enough by the same score both times), and I'm 27. This year will be a different story. The Huskers only two losses are to top 5 teams. We're a different team.

We were and now STILL are the FAVORITES for the Big 12 North. Our offense is one of the quickest and best offenses in the nation. Nebraska's terrible defense will have a hard time stopping it.

Gary Pinkel has turned Mizzou's program around. If it wasn't for Pinkel, Mizzou may still be winless vs. Nebraska over the last 30+ years.
Michigan may want current LSU coach Les Miles badly. But if Michigan fails to land Miles, they could then go after Gary Pinkel. Pinkel coached at Toledo in the '90's.
Mizzou fans have to hope and pray Michigan succeeds in landing Les Miles to replace Lloyd Carr, so they won't even think about talking to Pinkel.

nebraska has a good football tradition but lets think about what else that state and school have to offer. well the state is known for having the largest sand dunes in the (that's the only thing i could think of since they don't have any professional sports). pretty exciting stuff. their university offers a mediocre education. great. the u of missouri on the other hand has a vet, med, and law school. the state itself has 5 professional sports teams (chiefs, rams, royals, cardinals, blues).

I go to KSU, but man Brad Smith was an amazing college quarterback, and very fun to watch. I was a huge fan, and Gary Pinkel ruined him, whether Missouri fans agree or don't agree. If he would have kept the offense the same instead of trying to change it Brad's junior year, Missouri would have been a much better team. I hope he makes it in the nfl because he is a great role model for kids.

The Tigers have only beat the Huskers twice in my lifetime (oddly enough by the same score both times), and I'm 27. This year will be a different story. The Huskers only two losses are to top 5 teams. We're a different team.
I was at the miracle in Missouri game in 97, and I was treated with respect by the Missouri fans even after what must of been an absolutely heartbreaking loss for 'em.
