each game complimented their system to the fullest.personally i prefer contra HC because 3 had a few to many rehashed bosses at the end,but both games make you feel that they let you grow extra ammo.

Okay I know for the fact this is on Normal, because I played this game numerous times during my childhood experience. Do the soldiers on stage 2 fire repeatedly and create a spiral of flares on Easy? NO! Also look at the first boss fight on stage 3, on Easy that boss doesn't use the drill on the fight, but on Normal or higher, it does uses the drill. Freaking idiots don't even remember how good and intense this classic is. What a shame.

I'm playing this game right now & theirs NO WAY this is on normal skill level. I know i'm not the best gamer but i was counting the amounts of hits on the boss & its ON EASY. Still cool just label as such.

yea it is, why can the cannon shoot so fast on the bosses? On normal when you have the cannon it'll shoot in rapid fire except on the 3D level & on bosses, then it slows WAY down.

The red guys on level 1 don't shoot at you on easy. It looks like tatsuhiko's able to shoot crush so fast because he's equipped it on both I and II, and switching weapons rapidly while firing lets you skip the wait between crush's 3 round bursts. I never realized you could do that, brilliant!

Or would you like to chalk that kill up due to the secondary explosion from your weapon? Either way, your going to have to use something with more precision which means you'll have to do more dodging.

It was due to the mini boss dying that the green enemy died. Nothing to do with him shooting or secondary explosion. It's common in Contra games that surrounding enemies die when bosses or mini bosses are defeated.

Not so in this case. Notice how the first green guy was still running around after the mini boss was dead.

Yes I did. The surrounding enemies dont die right away. Sometimes the animation will complete on the death 1st. He had his back turned was no longer shooting at anything while the mini boss was completing the animation. There is no weapon with secondary fire that will last that long.

What I was saying was that there is a small explosion left over for a second from his weapon. Not the actual explosion from the boss that killed the first guy. I've seen how enemies on contra die when the boss is killed. They all hop up and explode or explode in place. I don't think the enemies were made to die when that boss did die. the second guy was able to finish his pattern even going so far as to use his attack (jump kick) well after the boss was dead.

Honestly, I think Contra hard Corps (Genesis) was 5 times better than Contral III. Four COMPLETELY DIFFERENT characters, each had weapons exlusive to them, and it was tougher to beat.
