an alternate story of Code Geass-Nightmare of Nunnally is only in manga. It talks about Nunnally makes contract with Geass and get to control a Nightmare. She uses the power to fight against Britannia for her brother, who also is a Geass user (he did not die in the end, C.C died in this new story). He becomes a demon king who bestow Geass.

yeah, but if Lelouch lives then it ruins the ending of season 2, good animes always end up bad if you continue them. Besides, the creators of the show said Lelouch was dead. You can't deny that or say they're wrong, they chose to leave Lelouch dead for good. But of course CC can still give some other guy the Geass, aside from the fact the world in Code Geass is in peace, so no action

The creators did not, NOT say that Lelouch was dead. The director mentioned that the ending was made that way purposefully to be left for speculation.

In fact, the last announcement (that I know of) by Sunrise thanking the fans for their support while hinting at a probable new Code Geass, part of the announcement had this exact line:

Lelouch is dead (?)

Yeah, the question mark was there.

It depends entirely on you really. The ending is left for speculation, so if you want Lelouch's act of gallant death for the future as the ending which made most of us cry manly tears, there's your ending.

If you want Lelouch still alive because he supposedly got the immortal geass from Charles and him using his ingenious brain to stage his gallant death to live a life in solitude with C.C., there's your ending.

I came up with a couple of options for a continuation. What if Sneichel(can't spell it) brakes through lelouch's geass?What if lelouch's parents get out of the unification with c's world. What if after reasoning with himself Jeremiah wants to avenge his master. What if the world figures out that lelouch was Zero? What if someone figure out that Suzaku is the current Zero? If any of that happens then new characters may appear which could fix the story. It doesn't matter it should stay as it is.

well, you can't break Geass if your mind is controlled, Nunally's was different. but if Orange-kun's Geass canceler malfunctions in front of Schneizel, then a new plot arises

so absolutely true, the first ending that you stated is what is blatantly shown and what is right there laid in front of us, while the second ending is what's beneath it all and what only people who know Lelouch well, would be able to deduct. The second ending cannot be deducted by simple minded people =P

Whether Lelouch lives or die, it was still a good ending for him. My problem with the ending is that theres no good ending for C2 with Lelouch dead.You can only get a good ending for C2 with Lelouch alive
