i think it was a hard but good decision this scene was cut . . it is not in pace with the subtle but building sense of the film as it moves along . . and really takes the focus off the youth . . the main girl . . though this blonde girl is still young she has already made her choices and is where she is . .this film is about the young , her fire, in this situation. i mean i may be overstating things here but i just feel that it was a good but hard decision,but its cool we get to talk about it!!

Should have been left in the movie to give this subplot a chance to play out and give these characters depth.

It is unfortunate that this scene was deleted at editing. This was beautifully done by all four actors; including the infant. There is a tension and stress here that is palpable; this could have been the scene that stole everyone's heart.
Cody Brown & Lauren Sweetser did an excellent job of portraying a broken relationship--perhaps on a new upswing. Lionsgate should add this scene back to the movie.
