  • great job boys !! im getting my ticket in a couple of month's cant wait lot's of work up north starting my new life as a welder yee HAW !

  • Im going to eastern Wyoming college for welding, that's where my dad went and can't wait to be working on the rigs in the next few years. Love welding, keep up the good work guys.

  • Soon to be me, heading up to the college, they got some courses on welding... gunna get that and w/e else I need then find myself an oilrig

  • nice job, cant believe people dont realize us welders ar the backbone to this country and build everthing we use today. im not a big fan of downhill but great work. we run tig roots and stick fills and caps on 3/8 6in pipe. great work and keep throwing down those welds, i do for 14hrs a day 6 days a wk. it is a very great and rewarding trade. props to u.

  • I am the greatest welder in the world. You imbeciles are all fools. I make 400 dollars an hour. I can weld with 1 hand or no hands. I just put the weld thinga majiggee up my ass and dance around all day. I can out weld any of you. I am king!!!

  • Male prostitute before this ahuh classic.

  • Out here in Wyoming when you are on the last weld, or waiting on your roust about crew, you jump in and help 'till it's done. Nobody watches while somebody else is working. Good job guys

  • A WELDER IS JUST ANOTHER TOOL IN A PLUMBERS TOOLBOX.. WELD MY PIPE NOW GET THE FUCK OUT MY SIGHT LOL

  • Dude you guys are a bunch of blow hard douchbags. I'd get that done 3x as fast as you two monkeys

  • Keep up the good work Brothers

  • Im guessing the helper is the one filming cus here in Alaska the helpers run the wire wheel and grinders. Good fill pass though. Looks good. If you know what your doing, holding the rod while welding wont burn the gloves, every welder Ive worked with does that and they never burn their glove in that spot. And who gives a fuck if they use plastic hoods, my Miller Elite hood is plastic and thats a $330 hood.

  • dude you guys suck, i can tell just by them plastic hoods and new glove what happended to the old ones u toasted them while holding that rod. yet u think u r a hotshot with a bluetooth. keep welding on gravy, hotshot at least put some shit out thats worthwhile. i rather watch flies fuck.

  • you welding a pipe go down? this is my firstime i see that. i go for a vertical position on that.

  • thanks for sharing boys, 3 or 5 rod? hot pass im guessing. Also, strait weave or the U weave? Gotta love the guys bitchin about rollin the pipe, if they had jobs they'd know its the easiest most efficient way instead of getiin the boards out and having the other guy run the box for dead mans curve and the bottom.

  • who the fuck brother in laws 10" pipe lol

  • all ive got to say is how in the shit will this work? I'm not very experienced with welding but looking into it and I thought a guy could only weld with 1 type of welding on pipe at 1 time... I know you can use tungsten fillerod to get it started at first and then cap it with stick afterwards am I wrong?

  • i bet y'all go through alot of gloves welding like that with your fingers all in the puddle,

  • living the dream, my dream, i'm going to be doing this someday and hopefully damn soon!

  • 10X6 reducing tee. Painted green, 9 x outta 10 it was manufactured in USA. Just recently got into the trade myself.

  • Your rigs are too quiet. Nice tunes too. I'm up in Wyoming waiting for the sage chickens to mate before BLM lets us go back to work. Stupid chickens...Also if you have a crew of roust-a-bouts waiting on you, you'll 'brother-in-law' it till you're done.

  • Your rigs are too quiet. Nice tunes too. I'm up in Wyoming waiting for the sage chickens to mate before BLM lets us go back to work. Stupid chickens...

  • My dad brought home a piece of pipe just like the one y'all are welding on he told me to make something out of it so i welded bot of the sides opened it up from the top and made a little Bar bq pit that goes on the truck haha, I'm only fifteen started welding a couple of years back but I wasn't into it as much as I am know.

  • Lmao! The end of the description!

"when I lost my last job as a male prostitute"

Nice job by the way, you know any welding job openings near Houston Texas??

  • this would be my dream job i love welding i am at college welding, iv done a year of MMA vertical and down hand, a year of MIG vert and down hand, and soon im doing a year of TIG cant wait, i love welding cant wait to do it as a job

  • ive always wanted to try the downhand pipeweld. how do u get a good buildup like on a vertical up?

  • @allistairc123 its all in technique and amperage just like up hill dont want it too hott were it sags out and down hill dont want it to hott were it just rolls out im still learning but thats what works for me hope it helps you and it works damn good

  • I laughed my ass off ... had to roll it? Guess you cant make that bottom? Im a chick and would love to smoke your ass!

  • @tesslasboy its not a matter of if you can weld the bottom or not...its just easier to roll it over and not have to kneel or lay down to weld....duh work smarter not harder

  • @tesslasboy wake up lil darlin!

  • weldfix.nl

  • lol the dumbass dont kow theres prolly 500.00 an hour waiting on ya does he? You a 798 hand?

  • come on now, show me some tough shit, I'm a boilermaker brother, union till the day I die, you guys stand and do stationary, roll your tube like a fitter, you need come into my hell, have six tubes in your way, crawl into a spot the human body is just not supposed to be able to fit, pulling on come-alongs from every which way, overhead welding, never coming down hill on a weld, damn I'm getting a hard on just thinking about work tomorrow

  • hey guys i just finish a aws entry level program at my local community college ,any tips for me in finding employment so one day do what you guys are doing ? thank keep up the good work

  • @evanemac im a welder at fab corp inc and starter begin from 10 to 12 an hour and i make about 18 to 25 an hour...

  • Dude let the people talk, do your welding, there is 80 or more welding procidures about welding, I know a few my self. I tig also but I defenitly love the 5p downhill is fast and clean. some people thing just because they can run a pretty bead on a flat position(1g) they thing they are (6g) welders

  • I don't get on here very often but when I do I love the responses from purebred idiots.... I understand if You don't know the process but try not to bash someone sharing knowledge in the trade ,,,especially if your unemployed...... fuck you haters I love what I do and I do it everyday

  • @flyinhillbilly22 I agree with you bro. Thanks for sharing your hard work.

  • I just love all u faggots that have nothing good to say cause you've done one weld procedure and know nothing different! .down hill, up hill low hi 6010, HYP 3/16 bead running mother fuckers.....put up or shut up you unemployed idiots.maybe you could blame your Unemployment on the Mexican Workforce but competition for your job is how you get it and keep it.......cry baby know it all's get a job

  • fuck 6010.

  • haha when i lost my last job as a male prostitute lol.... nice description. you the helper there flyin hillbilly or the welder? get a shot of ur rigs n everything that's the tits brother!

  • By putting your finger on the rod you have better control, it gets hot as fuck but keep it about half of the rod and when it starts getting hot take your hand off

  • that rocks!

  • too slow!!

  • Why is there 2 of you on a 10" std wall pipe? I want a job working for the company you guys are working for !!!! Up here in Alberta canada there would be no way 2 welders would be welding on a 10' std wall together...

  • @mgvst thats prolly what the code calls for dumb ass

  • @barton2010 I am not sure what code that mite be? code of the foremen is a retard and we can jack him around and get pay for hafe the work we do!! Look there is not code in the world the would put two guy on a 10". I wonder how much time they saved with two guys on that weld?

  • dumb & dumber

  • I am a pipine operator and there is no dream out there, it isn't a good trade,

    pipelining.

  • @huckstered Dude really I like being a pipeline welder where else can you make 200g a year and get 4 mouth off?

  • silly structural welder being silly

  • Man I cant wait to get all my certifications done so i can get out in the field

  • Heliarc is what the elite welders do!! No stick welds on planes or on the space shuttle nothing but heliarc!

  • well for one all you guys out there saying their not cleaning their welds... then why is he using a buffing wheel? besides if you burn ur 7010, or w/e it is for filler maybe 6010, you can burn through that fast-freeze slag and still not have impurities... i wouldn't want this job tho... i hate pipe, to repetative... ask a pipe welder to build you a set of stairs... bet half of em can't lol. no offense really... you don't use it you lose it.. which is why i'll stay on the structural for now.

  • @Drizzten2829 no offence man you need to get a clue about the industry before you open you mouth

  • @Drizzten2829 DUDE SERIOUSLY SHUT THE FUCK UP MAN.. IF U CAN WELD ON PIPE U CAN WELD ANYTHING... TRY IT OUT MAN.. GO MAKE UR SELF A ROOT PASS ON PIPE LETS SEE MR.STRUCTURAL IT AINT THE SAME AS PLATE.. ALRIGHT MAN WE LOVE RIGGING PIPES U LIKE STRUCTURAL KEEP IT TO YOURSELF U DONT GOTTA COME TALK SHIT.. EACH EVERYONE LIKES WHAT WE LIKE MAN U DO WHAT COMES FROM THE HEART WE ALL WELD ON CERTAIN DEDICATIONS BUT BECAUSE WE ALL LOVE IT.. EACH INDIVIDUAL DOES WHATEVER HE WANTS

  • I'll be doing this in 2 weeks :) £600 a week please £47 an hour!

  • I always find it funny that: every welding video I watch on youtube is bombarded with negative comments....just watch the video and be quiet. There are probably a ton of things you don't know about this pipe weld, the rods their using, if its a low pressure weld, the application, etc. Too many variables and OVERALL these guys seem to be quality welders from this demonstration....afterall, it is a "bench weld"

  • @crstella RIGHT MAN.. SHIT I HATE THOSE KINDA PEOPLE IT PISSES ME OFF

  • Comment removed

  • I wouldnt want that pipe... Your not cleaning your welds. Instead from the looks of it your welding over keeping slag and other impurties trapped between passes.

  • uesing babby rods

  • no chipping or wire brushing before restarting must be very good rods full penetration i wonder

  • Downhillin.

  • welding is so badass!

  • I am just dying to know why you chose not to roll weld it? Isn't that easier/faster? Flat position with a bigger rod?

  • i seen some undercut on the pipe, hope all the slag was out

  • I've done about 400,000 kms. of pipeline (more than P. Ben himself). lol. never seen one of those green things with the holes in'em glued on the end of pipeline like that. whatya welding anyhoo? lol. are you from Saskatuan?

    Ponch Pilot

  • "Get your finger of the rod!" is what my teacher tells us all the time

  • its white trash welding technique poor bastards no welders son of gun...senorita type welding hahahahahahahahahaha come to texas queers to learn downhill with 5/32 root and 3/16 cap bitcheeeess

  • what's with the finger on the rod technique?? never saw that method before.

  • dam burned my freakin eyes !

  • $2775 for 85 hours lol is that gross or net

    Here is my breakdown

    80 hours $5895 gross $3756 net

By the way what your doing is laughable, seriously laughable....The guy on the right u get hot fingers much.....I been welding 10 years started when 20 offshore for 5 years on same coin.

  • these are some no welding sons-of-bitches

  • well done guys ,god bless the welders!

  • Offshore welders earn $2,775.00 per 84 hr. working week. If you would like to go offshore as a welder, send me your email address. If you would like to go offshore as a welder's helper, or galley hand, or cook, or roustabout, send me your email address. I started welding offshore over 30 years ago. I can help you get offshore where the big bucks are made, and you can retire after just 2 years of work if you wish.

  • @moseseseseses

is that right? $2775 for 85 hours?

  • @moseseseseses ,

warm greetings sir....im Mr. Glenn Marla from philippines 35 y/o & willing to work at any offshore job, it's fine with me if i start as welder's helper or galley hand or roustabout. Im here in manila philippines and here's is my email add : neo_pulse9@yahoo.com Thanks sir.

  • @moseseseseses wow... 2800 a week? I dont know about anyone else but at the refinery I'm workin at we make 4735.00 in a 80.5 hour week. and thats on dry land in wyoming... and its on the lower end of the spectrum here... sorry but your gettin ripped off.

  • OFFSHORE WELDERS GUIDE ON EBAY

  • its called api 1104 its how its done. its good fast to code and its almost flawless. not many men can do it. if you dont like it turn off your gas furnace! or come work with us and cry to your mommy about making several g's a week. no never mind . stay home, and bitch about what you think you can do

  • didnt understand why theyre not rolling it more

    its so small!! LOL

  • how much does a typical welder make a year? and by hour? im interested in bein a welder

  • Ive never heard of anyone using a 6010 for a hot pass..

  • @jwaits90 thats how weve always done pipe in wyoming... 6010 root, hot pass. 7018 filler, cap. some is tigg root and some is 6010 all the way out. lot of dif ways to do it that I dont even know about I bet

  • @roy72004 I can't believe some of these goons on here calling themselves professionals. 7018 is run uphill peckerhead n 10 wire is run downhill. you can't run 7018 downhill. well, you can, but it usually don't look pretty. pipeline for life fuck all the haters ur all jus jealous

  • @SIRweedies yes I agree that 7018 is a uphill... Or flat.... Position rod. 6010 is an all position rod... Great for not so clean metal and the like... I like the clean look of 7018 but love the versatility of hippy rod.

  • some sweet effects at 4:10

  • Does it take 2 ProWelders to weld a pipe that small?

  • Why would they weld that in position and just not role it? Waste of time!

  • If you havent learned yet your first two numbers stand for the tensile strength of the rod... so these guys are probably welding 6010 on an open root. And this is a fast freezing rod so they use it for roots and hot passes.

  • correct me if im wrong but i thought you werent supposed to weld down hill? im on pipe at my school and i think you can only weld down hill on a 8010 if there is such a rod but let me no

  • your right but these dudes are in the field you can get away with a lot more.and when you need it now this is how you do it. if this thing had pressure on it im sure they do it that way im sure they're hot enough that they have a nice key hole

  • @ebey235 API American petroleum Institute Is the code they are welding under which allows downhill ASME American Society of Mechanical Engineersis is uphill only

  • sad, 2 dudes to weld a what 10-12 inch pipe?

    wtf?

i can see 36 '' on up, but come on!!

also pre heat ? i can see it if its run of the mill carbon, but what if its not?

  • its called pipeline welding, prob 798 welders, their not puttin a flowmaster on your fuckin truck!!! and after they weld it i'll x ray it, and then they'll coat it!

  • what ever it takes to get the job done quicker and easier more money fool.

  • christ readin this shit!!...how many welders does it take to run a 6010 root 7018 fill and cap?? !! 1 to weld it and 50,000 to say they could of done it better!!!

  • yeah i bet more than half cant weld worth shit all they probly just weld flat lol

  • Fkd that one up I see said the blind man, to the deaf lady, who could now hear...makes sense now right chico

  • welders are gay. NDT all the way, dont say your the best welder in the world ill be the judge of that.....lol.

  • Who runs a hot pass with a 7018? maybe 6010

  • Boilermakers do it every day on top of a TIG root...

  • probably a 7018, looks like there runnin there hot pass

  • what rod you useing

  • Blah blah i can weld like that with my ass cheeks. Na but id say ya outta not be touchin the rod if that good, burn up alot of gloves. Duraholders are junk... Plus u weldin off stands, that aint outta position in a 300degree pit w/steam blowin in ur face still layin a stacka dimes. Worlds best is a big claim but video quality sucks so its hard to tell, keep on stickin'er

  • says" worlds best occupation" dillhole

  • @reckLES65802 ..Ahh I see said the blind lady to the deaf guy who could now hear

  • Man you guys we all no real welder come from Alberta Canada and don't lick bag lmao!! We work threw it all -50 to +37c on pipline on mountians!!! Lol but good stuff I was a welders helper at one time to!!!

  • one problem i have is, i come from pipeline territory-gods country-too many lakes to count-midwestern usa, and my instructor always tells us hot passes are for pussies. i would like to see you guys clean that shit a little better, but hey im just a student of the game, what the hell do i know? ANY MINNESOTA WELDERS HERE ADD ME UP!!!!

  • welding student here, one semester down w/ certificate, one semester to go for degree, 4 month pipefitter hybrid course this summer, then back to tech college to chase another 4 month certificate for my resume. i started welding at 29, hope to own my own rig like you guys by next summer. keep it up guys, you guys look like you know a thing or two!

  • 21 yrs. of pipewelding.....and never cared for that buddy welding shit......and yea u can run that 6010 down hill......but why ?....with those nice rolling jack stands

  • Amen reddeancaddy automatics take work away from people who can actually weld a monkey can be trained by crc or whoever in about four hours

  • Boys boys lets not get all upset. Most welders think they are better than the others and that's normal, but seriously whats with the hoods??

  • 6010

  • is that the root pass

  • If you want to get across the pipe from me that's fine, I'm your huckelberry. Don't take it personal I just call it like I see it. Don't be hateing Texas on my account bud. As for the pre-heat yeah I've welded on a little x-70 in my day, 36" 820 wall. It takes two baby. Where are you from? Oklahoma?

  • are they using DC current? is this pipeline in australia?

  • faster

  • Did it pass Xray? Why do you need 2 welders to weld a 10 inch butt weld? You could have rolled it and poured some 1/4 inch to it.

  • You don't "need" two welders to weld 60" pipe. One guy can get the job done. They are using the pipeliner or "cross country" method. Most likely E7010 electrodes SMAW process downhill. If it is pipe...I'm sure it was X ray quality. Poured some 1/4" in it? Hell you could weld that joint with 1/8" in four passes. LIVE BETTER...WORK UNION!

  • Im willing to bet you aren't even a welder. You dang sure don't know what you are talking about. Every gas company I have worked for (NGPL, Northern Nat, PVR, Enbridge, Anadarko the list goes on, requires that any pipe over the size of 12" be welded out by two welders. Not to mention that they are probably using 8010g (70+) after the root pass. Just some food for thought. OH yes, there are real welders out there.

  • I'm not the welder? That is laughable...we can get under the hood anytime big boy. You ever hear of pre heat? Besides...it makes a big difference if you are going up or downhill. I live, breath, eat and drink pipe. Just depends on the application...and process used.

  • I see your from Texas. Forgive me...I assumed you had a brain. It all makes sense now. Proceed...

  • nice one lads you could have had it easer with auto shielding thats what i used

  • the pipe's on jacks.....why not roll it?

    stove pipie's

  • whats the deal with their hoods!! they must be canadian....

  • No,... they've just got enough sense to know that you don't get paid any more for setting your hair on fire.

Also any employer who provides safety gear would sack you for not wearing it. The days of the "big tough mountain man" horseshit welder are long gone, today we have craftsmen, who don't have to "prove" themselves.

  • i can't even bring myself to watch the whole video. these boys wouldn't last a day in my world.

  • perche' alla fine del video inizi un altra passata? non eccedi con il materiale di deposito? per quel che si vede bastava cosi'.

  • Why are they using two hands? Must wear out gloves left and right.

  • 2 hands for precision work. If your farm welding you can get away with 1 hand on everything but a lot of stuff requires a lot more precision

  • Not with your gloves in the fire!!!!!

  • it steadies the rod so ur toes on the weld stay consistnt

  • You know about farm welding, Huh!

  • hellyeah you got that right

  • Ok your putting a reducing tee on a run of pipe, it's already on roller stands. why are there 2 of you? and why would you downhand? why would you not roll that weld, its 100 percent faster, does your employer not like production?

  • Theres probably a flange going on the branch that they will position after as well. LOL

  • You American?

    Just kidding !

continuity of heat, and we like to employ our UA hands

  • brother in lawin a 10 inch pipe what they didnt want you guys to get lonely or they runnin out of work good work keep weldin

  • clowns !!

  • by the way shop hoods grow some pipeline balls

  • BS they fit it cant be that bad learn how to run a root w/5/32 noobs taken way tolong u would of been ran off along time ago

  • I wish there was more hiring done in this field. I'm just getting certified, current employers want 10 years experience. Sucks.

  • no time like now to start though because they will have to hire newbs soon the ol timers are retiring there is gonna be a huge shortage when the work gets good if you get your certs and practice you could be on a job as a helper learning what u need to know till you time comes you will be ready

  • got a question, whats better stepping or dragging the rod on a root weld?

  • all u gotta do is if the keyhole starts opening ..whip it if the keyhole starts closing cram the 6010 in it you can get it as close as you can but no fitup is perfect your gonna have to learn how to deal with wider gaps or not so wide 6010 is fast freezing so when u move the rod away it cools almost instantly and build up the key so u can move back in and start welding again u jus have to make sure u dont get no undercut on the inside of the pipe and you cant have no excess sticking out past

  • past 1/8 then when u run the hotpass it will push it outslightly like in this vid when they show the inside of the pipe u can see the heat coming through the root sealing the deal then your ready to cover after you clean the hell out of it get rid of all slag u dont want no wagon tracks showing up on the radiograph a wirewheel is better cause u could chip with a hammer and some inspector might mistake it fer an inclusion and fail it so you use a wirewheel

  • sounds easy right?right

  • make sure to grind the root pass to where it is flush to a little concave bwfore doing the hot pass

  • yes lots of grinding, way they showed us is every time u stop u got to grind a little ramp back down to the key, seems like more grinding and prepping than welding pain in the butt

  • yes like barbed wire in shit just finishin up my first semester of welding school at south plains college

  • i went to simi valley ca,great school full time learned alot quick all hands on,bought my rig and registered as a small business enterprise and took a bridge welder cert for dot ,hoping to get my truck on some bridge jobs soon as i find someone to insure me for a million bucks
