The Romantics were upset because the cover here was so good, that they were worried that people would mistake it for the original, which was pretty ridiculous considering that it explicitly says before the song that it's a cover.

Furthermore, it's kind of hypocritical considering that Harmonix also covered this for Karaoke Revolution Party, and they didn't complain about the cover in that.

As of now, the courts have thankfully ruled in favor of the game every step of the way.
