@G9PitBull Well if you think about it, metling iron takes.. A huge graphite/clay graphite crucible, a WHOLE lot of coal(or charcoal maybe), probably a blast fan.. And fireworks are really really cheap to make, because of mass production.

They are using a coppola. It's just a cylinder made of clay with a hole at the bottom. Stuff it with charcoal and iron pieces and you get molten iron. All that is much cheaper than fireworks.
