dude,you are awesome,i live in philly and we used to have a rush cover band in town and down the jersey shore,called crystall roxx,i think,they were awesome.first time i heard them i went to a club,like,`91 in wildwood,nj and there they were,never saw a band cover any songs let alone strictly them.they were awesome,i think they are still around,search for them on youtube i`m gonna right now,the only tip i could give you is i hear a thud from your bass drum,it`s the set-up i think,but you rock

Footwork has always been a weakness in my playing and the older I get, the longer it takes to warm up! :( A problem I have with the video setup is because of my headphones, the music, and the open house in front of me, I can barely hear my bass drum in fact. So, I have a tendency to hit it too hard and I have to constantly remind myself to relax a bit. Good catch though! I'm working on it! ;)

Of course! I have tons of recordings from Buddy (and all classic drummers as a matter of fact, like Webb, Payne, Bellson, Krupa, Philly Joe, Williams, etc). Buddy Rich was the absolute master. For a fun read, I recommend Mel Torme biography of Buddy called "Traps".
