i just went out and bought all the materials today to make these. and then i got home, so excited to start my new project...then BAM! my scissors were too dull to cut the felt properly. sadness. :'( what kind of scissors should i use?
i also love wearing high heels but my right foot is smaller than my left [my left's an 8.5 while my right is an 8] and it's really painful when i have to wear them for a long time.TT^TT
What would you do with heels that have a back zipper? something that isn't too noticeable. The top part of the back zipper cuts into my heels and makes scars (it really hurts too) I love these shoes but they hurt. My birthday is sunday and I wanted to wear them with my new dress. Any tips?
@GelatoDaVinci no problem glad to help anyone I can it's such a frustrating problem. Oh and I don't know if I was clear your still going to need both sides of felt just to cover the stuffing then just add the layer of grip liner. I bought it at dollar tree for $1 of course. Thanks
hey, do you think maybe the same technique can be used to make those little cushioin that go at the front of the shoe for the balls of your feet? that would be amazing!
thankyou! I don't have this problem with the heel but I don't have a problem with the front of my feet so I'm just going to make some cushions so that hopefully my foot won't hurt anymore ^^
So I did everything exactly how u said but unfortunately still didn't work for my feet so I changed one thing instead of the felt for the top layer I used grip liner that u use to line cupboards and it worked perfectly and now my feet wont slip. so thanks for the video!
I hate when I buy a cute shoe and can't wear it because it slips! I usually wait till Payless Shoe Source has their BOGO sale to buy the inserts. But somehow my heels still slip out!! Why don't the shoe companies just make their shoes with grip? :-p
So I want to try making it your way... buuuut I think I'll try using my glue gun instead of handsewing and see if that works? Too lazy to sew :-) Thanks for the tutorial!!!
Lately I've been having the trouble with my new heels slipping out and was searching for a DIY for heel cushions but couldn't find anything. I was looking into the Foot Petals product but was kind of skeptical (esp with the price).
I heard of this at home laser hair remove thing called tria and was wondering if you have heard of it and if you would consider using it and give a review on it. . . . ?

cutee shoes :D i only really wear wedges and booties, but when there's like something important coming up i wear heels . but they hurt my feeet after like 2hrs :/ any tips onn heeels ^^ ??
@sw33tbay that's pretty normal since a lot of people have arched feet (including me) . it really shouldnt be a problem but if it hurts there are special gel things that you can put in your shoes to make them fit better :)
I have a sticker making thing left over from when I was little maybe i'll try to go make some. It's the kind where you draw something stick it and roll it out tada presto sticker. lol I have a pair of shoes that are way to big on me for walking !
Can you do some type of fundraiser for Japan? Or have any suggestions, places to donate online... I really would like to buy an artsy shirt from somewhere and have the profits go to some type of relief for Japan...
What kind of wide-tooth comb would you recommend for me? I have strait hair and it's kinda long but very thin. Like would plastic be better or wood or idk I really need help. Which is the best to prevent slit ends?
i was wondering if you knew how to make your heals not *click clack* when you walked with them? how to get rid of that sound the heal makes when it hits a hard wood floor?
really cool video, it also seems like they would stop the chafing done to your heels as well since it's felt and soft ^.^ Also I read your blog and i think you should bring back the music in your videos, you seem like a fun person and the music makes the video more fun =) Can't wait for more videos <3
i wan to know if i can use this same liner for an isole ,just for cushion ? plus i want to thank yo for coming up with so many great things forus to try you truly are great !
Orrrrrrrr if you guys want the beige liner she's holding, you can go to any JC Penny and ask for the same thing for free. I have a couple dozen sitting in my drawers now. Yay! Just ask them.
omg thank you so much...i love pumps...they'll fit when i try them on but the fact that they are so high....my feet will slide down...especially on the open toes pumps..so thank you and can you tell me where i can find those presto felt..thank you
love this idea. i was just thinking bout how to keep my heels from slipping out today too! you mind reader, you.
but i hava question- wat if u make this and decide that u dont like it? does it come off easily? will it damage the inside of the shoe? and how long will it stay on for?
@heleneea u know it sticks on pretty long. I think it will leave a little stick residue bu tu can rub that off in the future (that's if u have worn it for weeks alredy) but if u peel it off right away no damage seems to happen. haha yes I am psychic!
you can also use the fake snow/fluff thingy that is sold during Christmas time as stuffing too, that's what i've done before, especially if you buy it after christmas is over, it like only 50cents for a bag there just might be some glitter in there
its a good thing i never got rid of those shoes that slip...
Question: can i do thins also for men's shoes? My hubby spends hours standing and on his feet for work but has to wear dress shoes.Could i make a shoe pad using these things? any better ideas?
@YenieD13 I don't think the cushion will be enough for him..instead of stuffing with pillow stuffing..try a a seam foam and this way u can "carve" his foot shape into the foam....u can find it at any sewing store.
And I'm gonna do this. I've never wore heels before, but I'm planning to for graduation. Heels don't look like they hurt, but everyone's always complaining! So I guess I'm gonna need liners so they don't hurt that much... Thanks for the idea. ^_^
How about making it the same way except using normal felt and velcro tabs in the shoes so you can remove the pads if they need hand washed or if you just want to replace it.
I hope you can do a tutorial on one of your old vids. It was about reconstructing your BF's dress shirt into a neat women's dress shirt. I think it was the Cowgirl shirt.
when i have peep-toes, i always get blisters where my foot goes through that hole.. like on the top of my toes.. do you have any suggestions for that?
@conmister45 you can cut the felt (if you decide to use felt) thinner, like maybe 5mm to 1 cm in width and put it inside, on top of the toes area where it hurts.. that should help! Or you can use the pantiliner way and cut that... Since pantiliners are more soft and delicate. :) Because I know they do sell the gel ones for that purpose in stores, but it's not worth spending the money on!
this is so useful... and you gave me an idea to create some cushions for the arch of my foot. it is too rounded and it never really sets on the shoe (especially high heels), and it starts to hurt like hell after a while... thanks! :)
maybe instead of using a different piece of felt for the front and hand stitching, if you dont want to stitch at all, you could just use another piece of sticky back felt and stick that with the stuffing under it to the front of the first piece. Might not last as long but for those afraid of a needle and thread :)
Thank you sooo much!! I have size 2 feet (euro 35 i think) and finding adult shoes that fit is almost impossible because they all start at size 3. Thank you so much because I can now buy lovely shoes! xox
i tear a little bit of tissue paper that is in the shoe box and squish it together. Then I stick it in the heel part and it forms to the shoe so it doesn't fall out. You can't even tell its there and theres no money or too much effort involved. Very easy fix :)
Thank you thank you thank you! I have small feet so all my heels are too loose & those inserts I buy either are not thick enough or end up coming off -___- thanks KL!!! (say hi to gelato for me :D )
awww never thought of making these!! i always just stick like 4 band-aids on my feet before wearing heels so i have some protection.. but i guess i should make these or stick panty liners in my shoe..
but what hurts my feet the most from heels is actually my toes and the area where i tippy-toe.. always gives me blisters :(
Can you do one for under the shoe so you dont slip and slide... like some heels dont have the rubber grip things on the bottom so when you walk in some floors, you kinda slip
the link for the pattern doesnt work? :[

maybe instead of using a different piece of felt for the front and hand stitching, if you dont want to stitch at all, you could just use another piece of sticky back felt and stick that with the stuffing under it to the front of the first piece.

@SuperstarMzLaydeehJ Just do the same thing she explains from 5:18 to 5:29, just stick it under the shoe, instead of inside!

Can you hot glue instead of sewing? Or would that be uncomfortable?
