  • you can buy those in dollar store or General dollar store.. I bought like 4 or 5 pair. one dollar each.

  • thank you so much for this tutorial!

i just went out and bought all the materials today to make these. and then i got home, so excited to start my new project...then BAM! my scissors were too dull to cut the felt properly. sadness. :'( what kind of scissors should i use?

  • @fallenstarz759 i had the same problem! i suggest using sharp sizzors used to cut hair.

  • you have SAVE my favourite pair of shoes!!!!!!! OMG thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!!11111

    thanks A LOT!

    subscribed!!

  • awe those are like Dorothy's slippers! lol

  • im actually gona give this a go o.o i dont wear heels.. (god only knows what happens when I do) but still.. my nikes cut into my heels D:

  • @ppboro3

Thats gonna be very messy! To be touching that sticky backing while sewing...

  • i bought 2 pairs of those cushion liners for only 3 bucks at walmart the other day, thats not that expensive

  • im sorry but i laughed at 3:45 of the first one you made im sorry i know im being terrible but it was funny

  • you have small heels like me yay!!!

  • great idea! but the heels aren't the uncomfortable part of heels for me, it's the balls of my feet that hurt

  • Great idea! And, cute shoes. Reminds me of Wizard of Oz>,<

  • where do you buy prestofelt and felt? Did u get it at michaels?

  • Thank you soooo much! I will never buy another pair of heel liners!!

  • AWESOME shoes!!!!

  • thank you very much for this!hugs!>:D<

i also love wearing high heels but my right foot is smaller than my left [my left's an 8.5 while my right is an 8] and it's really painful when i have to wear them for a long time.TT^TT

  • Omg this was genius. I was about to buy some but they were pricey so now I'll just make them. Thnx!

  • Cute shoes!

  • Hi silly question but what is the web add for the blog you mention in the video for the patten thanks in advance

  • These would work for flats too, right? (=

  • What would you do with heels that have a back zipper? something that isn't too noticeable. The top part of the back zipper cuts into my heels and makes scars (it really hurts too) I love these shoes but they hurt. My birthday is sunday and I wanted to wear them with my new dress. Any tips?

  • You can also get felt for 30¢ a square foot ^_______^

  • where did u buy your shoes? Its so pretty O.O

  • im assuming this works for flats too? o_o

  • @prettysakurafl0wer most likely. It's not just for heels =)

  • @GelatoDaVinci no problem glad to help anyone I can it's such a frustrating problem. Oh and I don't know if I was clear your still going to need both sides of felt just to cover the stuffing then just add the layer of grip liner. I bought it at dollar tree for $1 of course. Thanks

  • hey, do you think maybe the same technique can be used to make those little cushioin that go at the front of the shoe for the balls of your feet? that would be amazing!

  • 6 dollars a yard??? I´t like a dollar a yard in my country.

  • Adorable!!!!! :D

  • thankyou! I don't have this problem with the heel but I don't have a problem with the front of my feet so I'm just going to make some cushions so that hopefully my foot won't hurt anymore ^^

  • So I did everything exactly how u said but unfortunately still didn't work for my feet so I changed one thing instead of the felt for the top layer I used grip liner that u use to line cupboards and it worked perfectly and now my feet wont slip. so thanks for the video!

  • @hyistarz OOOH GRIP LINERS...GENIUS! I will do an update video mentioning things...thanks! I love that we can learn and share with each other!

  • Thanks for making everything that is practical to me! Your the best <3

  • I hate when I buy a cute shoe and can't wear it because it slips! I usually wait till Payless Shoe Source has their BOGO sale to buy the inserts. But somehow my heels still slip out!! Why don't the shoe companies just make their shoes with grip? :-p

So I want to try making it your way... buuuut I think I'll try using my glue gun instead of handsewing and see if that works? Too lazy to sew :-) Thanks for the tutorial!!!

  • thank u sooo much :O

  • Those shoes are amazing, very wizard of oz ish. :)

  • i'm just gonna use foam that has a sticky back on it

  • is that Presto Felt available in ANY craft store?

Cause I Have Black Plain Pumps But There Like size 9

and im size 8 and i dont want to spend more money on new ones.

  • do u wear these for the shoes to fit or just because it's more comfortable?...

  • @unFabulouzB

more comfortable. sometimes the back of the heel scrapes the back of your feet and it gets red and kinda hurts (if you dont wear tights).

  • Oh my goodness, I just dropped almost 8 dollars on a pair of heel shields a few days ago. this tutorial is so helpful!

  • i may go and try that but i doubt it would hold in my stupid feet

  • Lately I've been having the trouble with my new heels slipping out and was searching for a DIY for heel cushions but couldn't find anything. I was looking into the Foot Petals product but was kind of skeptical (esp with the price).

This is genius thanks for sharing!! :)

  • haha my mum used to put cotton wool at the tips of the shoe wn i was little to make them fit but i guess thats just as good :D

  • cutee shoes :D i only really wear wedges and booties, but when there's like something important coming up i wear heels . but they hurt my feeet after like 2hrs :/ any tips onn heeels ^^ ??

  • You could probably use a felting needle to fuse the two pieces of felt together. Just don't stab down, but sideways

  • when i wear heels, middle part of my feet doesn't touch the heels. what should i do?

  • @sw33tbay make one of these babies, and stick them onto wear it doesn't touch? lol, iernno

  • @sw33tbay that's pretty normal since a lot of people have arched feet (including me) . it really shouldnt be a problem but if it hurts there are special gel things that you can put in your shoes to make them fit better :)

  • would you recommend using foam sheets too since the beige ones are kinda foam-ish??

  • any clothing tutorial?

  • Love the Dorothy-ish shoes. x3

  • can u use heel liners for ballet flats?

  • I have a sticker making thing left over from when I was little maybe i'll try to go make some. It's the kind where you draw something stick it and roll it out tada presto sticker. lol I have a pair of shoes that are way to big on me for walking !

  • i cant watch this!! :(

  • You make things that cost us NOTHING compring to the price of it in stores xD !!

    Thnx soo much <3 !

  • Can you do some type of fundraiser for Japan? Or have any suggestions, places to donate online... I really would like to buy an artsy shirt from somewhere and have the profits go to some type of relief for Japan...

  • This is such a great idea. Your totally right they are so expensive at the store to buy. Thanks for a bunch for the video.

  • What kind of wide-tooth comb would you recommend for me? I have strait hair and it's kinda long but very thin. Like would plastic be better or wood or idk I really need help. Which is the best to prevent slit ends?

  • secretlifeofabionerd, wuts your REAL name?

  • i was wondering if you knew how to make your heals not *click clack* when you walked with them? how to get rid of that sound the heal makes when it hits a hard wood floor?

  • how about insole for heels for comfort??? :)

  • wow love those shoes <3

  • really cool video, it also seems like they would stop the chafing done to your heels as well since it's felt and soft ^.^ Also I read your blog and i think you should bring back the music in your videos, you seem like a fun person and the music makes the video more fun =) Can't wait for more videos <3

  • i wan to know if i can use this same liner for an isole ,just for cushion ? plus i want to thank yo for coming up with so many great things forus to try you truly are great !

  • Orrrrrrrr if you guys want the beige liner she's holding, you can go to any JC Penny and ask for the same thing for free. I have a couple dozen sitting in my drawers now. Yay! Just ask them.

  • @tdotgyal4166 seriously they give them out for free? wahhh? gotta investigate! Thanks for the tip.

  • @SecretLifeOfaBioNerd I used to work at one... Just ask the shoe sales associate. I was so excited when I found this out, lol

  • @SecretLifeOfaBioNerd so... how was the investigation?

  • @tdotgyal4166

do i have to buy anything there? they must b giving these liners for free with a purchase?

  • omg those red glitter heels are FABULOUS!!!!

  • omg those red glitter heels are FABULOUS!!!!

  • LOVE those shoes!

  • hot glue gun it !!!

  • @sue2nice4u hahah it solves everything.!

  • omg thank you so much...i love pumps...they'll fit when i try them on but the fact that they are so high....my feet will slide down...especially on the open toes pumps..so thank you and can you tell me where i can find those presto felt..thank you

  • omg! you have saved my life and my wallet! thank you for the video!! ^-^

  • MY GOD those shoes are cute

  • @skittles0567 I know aren't they fab! I've waited 2 months for them!

  • this is really helpful! Thanks!

  • can you do a DIY insole?

  • I love you n_n

yes homo :D lawl, jk I don't say that xD

  • @fashionbug312 hahah LOL that's funny

  • omg heel liners! that's what i need! yay thanks now i need felt materials! lol

  • love this idea. i was just thinking bout how to keep my heels from slipping out today too! you mind reader, you.

but i hava question- wat if u make this and decide that u dont like it? does it come off easily? will it damage the inside of the shoe? and how long will it stay on for?

  • @heleneea u know it sticks on pretty long. I think it will leave a little stick residue bu tu can rub that off in the future (that's if u have worn it for weeks alredy) but if u peel it off right away no damage seems to happen. haha yes I am psychic!

  • Wahhhhhhh!!! Thank you!

  • this is an awesome idea!!! :D

  • omg this is so cool. I wanna buy those adhesive felts but there's no joann fabric where i live. Is there anywhere else i could buy this?

  • @orangeyumpop craft stores have them...like michael's or even walmart some times. try adhesive foam that works too .

  • you can also use the fake snow/fluff thingy that is sold during Christmas time as stuffing too, that's what i've done before, especially if you buy it after christmas is over, it like only 50cents for a bag there just might be some glitter in there

  • YOU SAVED MY FINANCIAL LIFE THANK YOU!

  • My mom used to stick toilet tissue in the toe part, until I grew into my shoes. So ghetto, and painful! lol

  • what are heel liners used for??

  • i looooovvvveeee your shoesss!!!!! ^.^

  • NICE SHOES!!!!!!!!!!!! IM A TOTAL SHOE ADDICT!!!

  • you sound sooooooo cute

  • its a good thing i never got rid of those shoes that slip...

Question: can i do thins also for men's shoes? My hubby spends hours standing and on his feet for work but has to wear dress shoes.Could i make a shoe pad using these things? any better ideas?

  • @YenieD13 I don't think the cushion will be enough for him..instead of stuffing with pillow stuffing..try a a seam foam and this way u can "carve" his foot shape into the foam....u can find it at any sewing store.

  • I love your shoes!!

  • the scary think is I was actually thinking about going out and buy heel liners today!

    LUCKY I DIDN'T!

    thank you so much!

  • if only i saw this before i returned my heels. i have very tiny feet and its hard to get shoes my size :) i will definitely try this :)

  • I can't find the pattern for the heel liner...

  • you are AMAZINGLY smart! :) <3

  • This is so useful I can't wait to do these for ALL my shoes! *-* You just saved me lots and lots of money. Thanks so much!

  • Where has Gelato been!!!! I miss the little bunbunnnnn!

  • You think of EVERYTHING!! Youre fab.

P.S you COULD buy a pair of leggings, but to be honest, you could prob make one better for a lot cheaper ;]

  • I have a love/hate relationship with you.

I love everything you do and hate that you have these awesome skills. YOU ARE A LIFESAVER!

  • @Jocabelle haha thanks! I love the love/hate thing h^_^"

  • SPARKLY...

And I'm gonna do this. I've never wore heels before, but I'm planning to for graduation. Heels don't look like they hurt, but everyone's always complaining! So I guess I'm gonna need liners so they don't hurt that much... Thanks for the idea. ^_^

  • I was gonna go buy some cause I was too lazy to make my own but I guess its not as time consuming as I thought

  • omg amazing thank you i love your channel keep up the DIY's <3

  • How about making it the same way except using normal felt and velcro tabs in the shoes so you can remove the pads if they need hand washed or if you just want to replace it.

  • This is just what I needed! I can FINALLY wear my grey pumps that have been collecting dust for 18 months!

  • Could you put out a pattern for the ball of your feet cushioners? Or would you just adapt this one?

  • I hope you can do a tutorial on one of your old vids. It was about reconstructing your BF's dress shirt into a neat women's dress shirt. I think it was the Cowgirl shirt.

  • You are a Goddess for this! totally am so excited for this because I am always buying these things!

  • thank you so much! my feet are a half size and it's a nightmare trying to find shoes that fit!

  • You know what? I love you.

Everything you make is just awesome.

  • @TheMilkshakeCompany completely absolutely totally ditto.

  • when i have peep-toes, i always get blisters where my foot goes through that hole.. like on the top of my toes.. do you have any suggestions for that?

  • @conmister45 you can cut the felt (if you decide to use felt) thinner, like maybe 5mm to 1 cm in width and put it inside, on top of the toes area where it hurts.. that should help! Or you can use the pantiliner way and cut that... Since pantiliners are more soft and delicate. :) Because I know they do sell the gel ones for that purpose in stores, but it's not worth spending the money on!

  • you are my hero for doing this :D

haha, I don't have a sewing machine (yet), so this is actually something I can do :D ^__^

  • I love you, your ideas really rock =)

  • this is so useful... and you gave me an idea to create some cushions for the arch of my foot. it is too rounded and it never really sets on the shoe (especially high heels), and it starts to hurt like hell after a while... thanks! :)

  • The Wizard of Oz shoes ~ o:

  • such a smart idea, gunna go make a bunch now<3

  • Thanks!!!

  • shoe stash ? I really like the red shoes !

  • could you super glue the edge?

  • @RachelMcCarn hot glue would probably work better

  • Can u do this for flats? I have some flats that a little to big for me

  • @Jeny2010 For sure! It can work on any shoe u have!

  • those shoes are stunning *.*

  • Awesome! I had never thought about making show liners before :)

  • lol on the serger pad :)

  • i wanna see gelato more! i haven't seen her in FOREVER!!!!!!

  • @spagrl03 he has his own channel! :)

  • "I'm so cheap " lol - you make me laugh. Great idea, somethings are just so over inflated for something so simple. Keep it up girl.

  • Most helpful video on youtube!!

  • maybe instead of using a different piece of felt for the front and hand stitching, if you dont want to stitch at all, you could just use another piece of sticky back felt and stick that with the stuffing under it to the front of the first piece. Might not last as long but for those afraid of a needle and thread :)

  • great idea thx!!

  • I'm glad you're back!^w^ I was wondering if you could do more craft tutorials? The roses turned out great, it was fun!

  • I wish I could walk in heels =(

  • Thank you sooo much!! I have size 2 feet (euro 35 i think) and finding adult shoes that fit is almost impossible because they all start at size 3. Thank you so much because I can now buy lovely shoes! xox

  • super helpful ~!!!

  • Absolutely creative, well done.

  • Great vid!

  • i tear a little bit of tissue paper that is in the shoe box and squish it together. Then I stick it in the heel part and it forms to the shoe so it doesn't fall out. You can't even tell its there and theres no money or too much effort involved. Very easy fix :)

  • you are so amazing. you inspire me every time i watch your videos. thank you.

  • Thank you thank you thank you! I have small feet so all my heels are too loose & those inserts I buy either are not thick enough or end up coming off -___- thanks KL!!! (say hi to gelato for me :D )

  • awww never thought of making these!! i always just stick like 4 band-aids on my feet before wearing heels so i have some protection.. but i guess i should make these or stick panty liners in my shoe..

but what hurts my feet the most from heels is actually my toes and the area where i tippy-toe.. always gives me blisters :(

  • @moofeyy God forbid they make shoes comfortable and wearable huh? ^_^ Lol.

  • Can you do one for under the shoe so you dont slip and slide... like some heels dont have the rubber grip things on the bottom so when you walk in some floors, you kinda slip

  • @SuperstarMzLaydeehJ Just do the same thing she explains from 5:18 to 5:29, just stick it under the shoe, instead of inside!

  • whenever i wear heels, it doesn't hurt my actual heel, but the ball of my foot. :/

  • hey did anyone ever tell you.....that ur awwwesome ?!

  • i got a heel liner at a dollar store before..!

  • oooh... i will really defitnitely try them out!! i bought heels online.. and they were a little bigger.. thanks for sharing!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3

  • Can you hot glue instead of sewing? Or would that be uncomfortable?

  • Thanks for the great idea!:)
