Seems a waste to have this in German for the 40-50 people with a musical ear in that country. I lived with their charts for 8 years or so, and it was enough to make me wish I was deaf. Then the 'Deutsche Welle' hit, and I had to, literally, pack my bags and flee before I started blowing up radio stations. If you'll forgive the poetic licence, with rare exception, the Germans really put the 'Sick' in Musick.

Say what you like, but with a few notable exceptions (Rammstein for example), Germany isn't exactly a hot-bed of musical fertility. There is no market for good music because there is no discerning ear for it. I'm generalising, but the point stands in my experience having lived there.

den mks80s als rackversion des jupiter 8 zu nennen und sogar als klangvergleich miteinzubeziehen ist nicht nur unprofund, sondern weiteres mythendreschen von irgendwo aufgeschnapptem gelaber. lustig, dass die virtuellen sounds tatsächlich mehr nach mks80 als nach jupiter 8 klingen. noch exakter wäre "virtueller waldorf q"! denn exakt die gleichen sounds bekomme ich auch mit meinem waldorf q hin. klassisches roland feeling kommt hier nicht wirklich auf. ansonsten ist die review ok.

Das ist einer der wenigen Soft Synths, aus denen man erstaunlich leicht klare schöne Sounds kitzeln kann. Die Oberfläche ist verständlich und übersichtlich aufgebaut, so dass auch ein Anfänger, sehr leicht eigene Presets basteln kann. Der Arpeggiator ist auch toll umgesetzt und bringt Duran Duran Feeling auf. Seitdem ich das Teil gekauft habe, sind meine ganzen Freeware-VST in der Recycle-Bin gelandet.

"Now or never" the synths (both bass and melody) in this track are created with an arturia jupiter 8 and the arturia CS80. I can absolutely recommend these synths.

I have to say this is close enough to the Jupiter 8 for my taste. Fuck paying thousands of dollars for a dated sound with all the maintenance nightmares you'll get. In German, FOCK original Jupiter ACHT.

I got a demo ver. from my analog fac. cd, in my opinion, this vsti doesn't sound even nearly like a real jupiter 8.. it's plastic and boring like almost every other vsti synth..

@FreakZeit It sounds very close to the real thing but the beauty is its nothing like the horrendous price tag or potential maintenance costs. The listener doesn't care whether you are using the real thing or not. Roll off the hi freq eq and throw in some noise to degrade the sound and you have a JP8. The question you have to ask is would using a softsynth make any worse music? I think not.

And it's always the ones with software that say it sounds the same and is better and bla bla.But if you had the real thing next to you, you would realise how thin that plugin really is.

@M3sslah I think you should use the plugin and add an eq channel to fatten it and maybe bitrate reduction and you will quickly realise just how much better this thing sounds. Have you heard the free jx8p plugin? I have the real synth and the software freebie actually sounds better for 95% of the time. If the software can come that close then there is no need for the real Jupiter synth in time to come. I think we are a bit spoilt for choice nowadays.

Dein Pad ist wirklich gut und das Human Legue-artige Stück recht nett.

Das GUI ist selbst bei 21`` Bildschirm nicht mehr zeitgemäß, Massive und FM8 zeigen, dass es auch anders geht. Und die Zeiten, dass man Synthies benutzen muss, die schlecht zu bedienen sind, sollte eigentlich nach den 19``Rackgeräten der früh90s vorbei sein.
