  • Translated to 500 euros for 5 seconds, no thank you. I will stay with HHD. Si'l vous plait responde en l'anglais.

  • @THEBYRDSN3ST it may seem that way, but when you actually load other software on your boot time will increase. an SSD will speed operations in all areas of your Mac or PC, not just boot time. Wake from sleep, launching apps and many other things that eat up the seconds.....added up over a year thats a lot of waiting time

  • woah! the green button says crap!

  • 500 euros les 5 secondes non merci ^^ je reste en hdd !

  • @MrYoussdu78

    15 sec?

  • How exactly do you access the BIOS on a mac? It doesn't even seem to conduct a POST from what i can see.

  • @smartguy9765 Mac doesn't use BIOS, but instead it uses EFI. More modern technology, Windows 8 will be using EFI as well.

  • This is an arrandale i7-620m

At the time of production, it was the highest end processor intel made whilst keeping within the 35w TDP max of the mbp design.

It is a dual core, with intel hyperthreading adding a further 2 virtual cores. It also has a turbo boost feature, allowing on the fly automatic overclocking to 3.2GHz

It eats C2Ds for breakfast, but you cannot expect a dual core to beat any quad.

  • alah ngentot lo anjing gaguna

  • it says "crapr" LOL

  • Was the hdd on the glossy one the 500 gb @ 7200 rpm or 750 gb @ 5400 rpm?

  • 20 Секунд - лучший круг :))) Жду недождусь когда мой придет уже, тоже тест выложу. У меня макс конфигурация будет.

  • @VIPLeague Мои поздравления ;)

  • Labtop i7's are two cores not 4

  • @igrowweedfromaseed No. i7's can be 2/4/6 cores. Most have 4 cores though. A lot of the cheaper i7 laptops however have 2 cores.

  • @MrXorHomer 2 cores, end of discussion

  • @igrowweedfromaseed Currently there are 11 out of 30 i7 mobile processors with 4 cores. You sir, are stupid. Stop misleading people with fake information.

  • @MrXorHomer I just wanted to put it out there that people should allways go for an 4 core over 2 core on labtop.

  • @igrowweedfromaseed if you want to get technical even the "dual core" i7's render 2 more virtual cores so thats 4 cores to speak of. The previous generation of MBP did have dual core i7's but they have changed that this time around. The sandybridge quad core processors require less power and thus being electrically efficient became fair game for apple since they have the 6hr and up batter life claims, I can vouch that this laptop has a quad core processor as well as i own one

  • MC373 i7 2.66, 8Gb, HDD (ST9750420AS) glossy

    Z0J6/8 i7 2.66, 8Gb, SSD (THNS512GG8BBAA) anti-glare

Music: Dresden & Johnston Feat. Nadia Ali - That Day (Tritonal Air Up There Remix)

  • Okay, that music with the screens was pretty tight

    which models are you using?

  • oh no 15 sec later!! that is so going to make me pay more XD

  • @galaxypa it's not about the 15 seconds logging in (although that can feel like a big difference if you're in a huge f*ing hurry), but that you can expect /everything/ to be twice as responsive when loading data.

That translates to a lot less lag for video editing, for playing video games, for starting large applications (like the Adobe Creative Suite); On top of that, it still affects more common, smaller tasks.

  • @hekatontarchos What is having your computer feel twice as fast for everything you do really worth? "A few hundred dollars" at the very least, more than likely (especially when you're already dropping 2 grand plus on one)

  • @hekatontarchos Exactly. Not to mention that you will save a good bit of time :)

I know that a bunch of people argue that most mac users never start their macs or whatever (almost everyone resumes from sleep mode) but honestly, ANY computer user opens programs more than they ever restart their computer, and you save time there, too :) so, an SSD is well worth it. Do make sure you get something from Intel though - they have the most reliable ones - and SSD's need to be reliable.

  • which do you prefer,

the glossy or the anti glare?

  • my lenovo x201 boots in less than 10 secs ...

  • @evenchampions video for proof. Or it didnt happen. It is probably possible with intels' new 510 series SSD's, but I highly doubt it... My macbook pro on the Intel 510 series is booting in about 12 seconds flat. :)
