  • F-35 is designed to replace both F-16s and F-18s. However, it has turned into a low performance financial disaster.

  • @dmacid around 400 billion already spent into development ..

  • @MrKasperabhay I know and they are still missing performance marks set for the jet.

  • Fuc this a 10 better

  • Typical american jets u guys are 2 years behind us

  • x-35....

  • Is the F-35 designed to replace the f-117?

  • @themangix357 No, f117 was a bomber, F35 is a multi role AA AG, Its a more advanced Harrier

  • @NYGIANTFAN1187

F117 was not a bomber, F117 could cary only 2 bombs, F117 was kind of"spy" plane

  • @stevaaan90 It was a stealth Bomber, dropping bombs and being stealth is what it was made for

  • @themangix357

No F-22 was design to replace F-117

  • Ummmm A10 is used for different purposes.. Same with the B2....(reffering to the video) The US is actually planning on a B2 replacement(not F35) its nick named as the next generation bomber... The B2 is have a larger payload that can carry nukes and it have a longer range.... It have different strategic uses...

  • Meh, A-10 is better

  • looks just like a f22

  • EVERY smart guy with a southern accent works for the fuckin military lol.

  • america copied the Yak-141

  • @YUSKHAN No, this is stealth and the Harrier came first.

  • @82ndairborne1000

Yak-141 is the first supersonic vertical take off and landing jet fighter, developed back in the 1960s by the Soviets, Lockheed Martin stole the designs during the 90s when foreign countries and corporations were stealing Soviet secrets

  • @YUSKHAN OK but this does not mean that the F35 is a copy, the technology is 50 years old if you are telling the truth so I don't see why you care.

  • I was a huge f-22 raptor fan but after my dad told me that the f-22 was no longer being made because of cost and the f-35 was going to take over I thought that nothing could beat the f-22, 'til now. still like the looks if the raptor better than the JSF.

  • After skimming the the specs of it and listening to comments from veteran pilots, I believe the F-22 is still the top fighter. However, the F-35 is meant for ground support, being able to hold itself in air combat. It's not meant for air to air roles. That's what the F-22 is for. This is the big difference. Both rely on technology heavily to successfully operate. This has its major cons (more to add, more to fail).

It's a shame they are replacing the reliable A-10 with the blunderous F-35.

  • @HaloModder555 "replacing the reliable A-10 with the blunderous F-35" A-10 is the most disliked aircraft by USAF pilots, including those who fly them.

  • Everyone has their likes and dislikes...

  • Thumbs up if you came here cause of Battlefield 3.

  • @AGFilms1 fuck u and your thumbs too guy =D

  • don't be bitchy people, if they get the go ahead to complete it, it will be the worlds most advanced fighter jet, which would help troops in combat and protecting the US. yes its an expensive program, but all aircraft are expensive, period.

  • This jet can try any combat role failing in all of them against specialized airplanes.

  • The F-35 RCS is less than B-2!!!

  • $200,000,000,000 HOLY SHIT

  • @XBxUxTxCxHxExRX I think Canada just bought a bunch for 9 bill, i cud be wrong

  • @XBxUxTxCxHxExRX they're not $200bn each, they're like $160mil apiece, expensive but all aircraft are

  • @jimmyhoffa9 nobody knows the real cost for this jet.. why would they tell us how much they spend? a b-2 stealth bomber costs 2Bil a piece.. + upkeep costs.

  • @XBxUxTxCxHxExRX divide ur number by 2 and u got the cost

  • I wonder if The 6th generation jet fighers are going to be VTOL like the f-35

  • pierre sprey does not approve of this piece of junk

  • @bna0001 Yet another person who knows nothing about this plane.

  • @Hello6761 do you know who that is?

  • its amazing how he talked about america created it. the truth is lots of countries are helping develop it (britian, US, italy, canada etc.) so really it belongs to all of them

  • @softcop123 Umm that's incorrect. The only other country actually doing any work in the development of this jet is Britain with a minor role. The rest are simply investing money into it.

  • @OlderG0ds Britain developed the tails, the electronics and the engines (BAE Systems and Rolls-Royce) and was considered a Level 1 partner in this aircraft's development.

  • @Hindenburg12886 no, BAE only developed the electronic warfare system. everything else is american.

  • @hotpocketpoison The F-35's 'LiftSystem', although patented by Lockheed Martin, was built by Rolls-Royce (UK), the ejection seat was developed by Martin-Baker (UK), the Direct Voice Input is being provided by Adacel (Australia) and, as you said, the electronic warfare system was developed by BAE Systems. Except for the missiles and everything apart from what I just said, everything else is American. Score 1 for global co-operation! :)

  • @softcop123 Well not really. The USA takes on the biggest role of the development.

  • a copycat of Yakovlev Yak-141 NATO Code: Freestyle

  • @thalonboy Thanks for showing us you know absolutely nothing about this jet.

  • Its amazing how technology has advance within less than 100 years. If you think about it, back in WW2, we used heavy, unreliable MGs that weighed soldiers down (such as the MG-42), and that was considered one of the best weapons at the time. Now, the military can easily take out machinegunners by sending in a little robot. Even heavy artillary is no match for infantry due to new precision guided portable anti-armor missles.

In shorter terms, shit's getting serious.

  • @Intelligenttrees so true. we can still perceive our civilization as if it were just an infant. the industrial era only lasts about 3 life spans, hardly anything considering the timeline of the human race. we also tend to go toward short term benefits and ignore the consequences like how we did during our childhood. look at huge companies who prefer cash over global warming or military generals who impulsively call an attack and fuck themselves up. bro, we have a long way to go.

  • @EricKZhang just imagine what weaponry will be like in another 100 years

  • @MRJ65 How is that checkmate? Even if you have more nuclear weapons I'm pretty sure that the US has enough to wipe out all of Russia ... and the rest of the world ... twice.

  • fastest torpedo only goes 125 miles per hour.... 300 is way to fast. you may mean knots which are nautical miles. not direct conversion to miles per hour. Assuming you are talking about the va-111 Russian torpedo. Also most missiles go. as for anti ship there is the BrahMos at around mach 3...and its a ramjet missile system. I'm not going to argue what will win cause its all guess work till it happens but at least check your info.

  • @Legac1es And can you name them all of the top of your head? My point was that both the Americans and Russians have the ability to annihilate human civilization at the push of a button.

  • I am sure the F-35 will be a fine plane in the arsenal, but for some reason, I just dont get excited about this plane.... does not have that "wow" factor regarding looks. For the Navy, I think it will be ok, but still not "sold" for the backbone of the air force...

  • Lol take it easy you wieners. stop pretending to be generals, go take a shower, and go outside.

cool plane by the way :)

  • Also, the development of new technology aimed at the soul purpose of killing people is a fucking tragedy. The US alone spends more than 1 billion dollars a year in military spending. Just imagine if that money was spent on something else like, oh I dunno, healthcare? Maybe, just maybe we could have a solution to problems such as Aids and Poverty.

  • @TheHopelessOtaku Damn utopian socialists. You think other countries would just leave us alone if we had no military power? You people are all under the same false impression that the military's only job is to kill. No, their only job is to PROTECT YOUR RIGHTS. We have a military so the next country over doesn't go "Hey, that's a nice piece of land" and turn your world into a dictatorship. A powerful military is MANDATORY for freedom. It is not optional. History proves me right.

  • @elseagoat Well said.

  • Comment removed

  • @elseagoat Protect our rights? Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought that was the job of the police and the judicial branch of government. Also, do you truly believe that the protection of our rights is the main role of a country's military? What rights are the Americans protecting from invading Iraq? What rights are you protecting when you make a weapon capable of killing 100 000's of people? History does prove you right and it also proves the inevitable downfall of those "powerful" military's.

  • @TheHopelessOtaku No dude, the police and judicial branches protect our property, or more specifically, ONE of our rights which is the right to property, which includes our safety because we have a right to ownership of our bodies as well. But do you think the police department in your city will protect you from foreign invaders? No. Do some research on the Cold War. As we developed nuclear weapons, Russia was on their way as well even before we finished. Continued....

  • @TheHopelessOtaku Continued... Imagine if we never participated in the arms race with Russia. How far would communism have spread after WWII if nobody posed a military threat to Russia? I am not arguing for the war in Iraq, there is much more to it than protecting our rights as there is with any individual historic military engagement. But on the whole, my stance is valid. A powerful military is REQUIRED for any country to be a world superpower and remain free.

  • @elseagoat I realize your point and I understand that in this day and age that it is true that a powerful military is needed to remain free but, in my opinion freedom shouldn't be achieved in a show of arms. Violence begets violence. I may be idealistic but I hope that somewhere in the near future humans will have the ability to live without fear of their neighbour.

  • @elseagoat Also, the USSR wanted to protect itself from the US that's why they set up those satellite states and also why they developed nuclear weapons because the Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were as much a threat to the USSR as they were used to force the Japanese surrender. Stalin wasn't really that concerned with spreading communism he was content with his control of the USSR. But, it is human nature to be wary of someone you consider your equal.

  • Seriously an argument over who would win a WW3? I hope you do realize we would all lose if it came to all-out war. You see, they made these things called nuclear warheads. Most modern nuclear warheads have the fire-power capablitity of destroying 1 city. The US has more than 8000. Russia more than 4000. Can you even name 8000 cities in the world? No didn't think so. Theres a reason why we call them MAD weapons. Mutually Assured Destruction. Its not who wins. Its whos left.

  • @NocredRS Thousands of suicide bombings all over the US...America would look like a war zone + 40 nukes that go off randomly. USA will collapse...the dollar alone will make it collapse within 5 years. If not by then, Russia and China has gone through the most rapid military modernization seen in the last 100 years equaled only to Germany in 1930's. Only a fool underestimates his opponent.

  • @6630mcdo Here u go again retard. No doubt - u r senile: "Recently, articles have appeared in the Australian press with assertions regarding a war game in which analysts from the RAND Corporation were involved. Those reports are not accurate. RAND did not present any analysis at the war game relating to the performance of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, nor did the game attempt detailed adjudication of air-to-air combat. Neither the game nor the

  • @NocredRS Russia has over 40-50 suitcase nukes in the US. China will send those 100,000 people into action in spying, snipering US children and women everywhere like the DC sniper; mass killings; water poisoning; biological warfare; cyber warfare; etc., etc. There is no way the US could beat Russia and China. China has a Cyber Warfare Division of 400,000 hackers to close down the US and its military. Anyone sees it weekly on the news. China can field 200 million man army. 50 million goes to Iraq

  • @6630mcdo, US also has 1 billion people spying in China and Russia with aircraft carriers in every body of water bigger than 5 sq km and have fighter planes and bombers partolling every 10 sq km airspace in all of their mainlands. Oh wait, they don't because whatever I want to say isn't always the truth. Also, I like how you call Americans baby killers but your masturbating to the thought of Russian and Chinese soldiers killing innocent American children. You sick fuck.

  • @AstroWaldo US does not have a billion people spying. It's strange how you would state such an obvious fallacious and illogical statement. Second, your character really shows online when people do not see each other face-to-face and can hide from shame. Think of your character that God sees. I never said I would enjoy war, but that China is planning such actions. US troops are not the evil ones, but the elites who want world empire. All empires collapse. The US will soon collapse. It's evil.

  • @NocredRS Son, you have no clue what you are talking about. Russian planes are equal to better than US planes. Russia is NOT at peace. Russia has a 1 megaton nuke aimed at all US military bases and all US cities above 50,000 people. China is the world's largest economy! USA is going down hill FAST! 16% poverty - Russia has 8% poverty. China has the fastest computers in the world; can sink any US Carrier; can shoot down all US satellites; estimated 100,000 persons in the US for war.

  • @NocredRS US Empire is collapsing. US will not last another 10-20 years. China and Russia will destroy America. Dollar is collapsing. USA will be the same as the USSR collapse soon. I can't wait! Then America will be attacked. Chinese will invade and kill millions! Oh, happy days! Your children will be slaves and learn Chinese. US Government is evil...millions of militia will take care of it also...there are 2 million of us now. 1/2 former military.

  • @NocredRS LOL LOL Rand Corp. for the US Military proved that Sukhoi's are far superior....YouTube: The Truth About the Useless F-35 & F-22

  • @6630mcdo Wow, you're at every vid bashing the US, & making friends too, and you seem to have a memory problem. I've already posted to you the Rand Corp public release that denied that it assessed any aircraft's performance, and yet here you are again making the same bullshit claims.

  • @6630mcdo Your a fucktard the Russia your talking about is about half the size of the U.S. They arent the soviet Union anymore comrade and if the Russian Federation even tried to even go up against our airforce they would be utterly destroyed.

  • @GreedyJungle Your language is a sign of character. When you think no one will see you online, it shows even more of ones character. Think about it for your own good. Russia is 2.5 times the size of the US - do not understand what you are thinking about. The US would not be able to fly over Russia. S-400 will shoot down any US plane or cruise missile. Thousands of dead US pilots would literate Russian land. Russian ECM vehicle took down the US RQ-170 drone.

  • @GreedyJungle The Russian ships now in Syria are supplying Syria with Yakhonet anti-ship missile that goes Mach 3 and three times more powerful than any US anti-ship missile. Russia would sink the US Carrier groups in minutes. US cannot shoot them down. Also, Russian subs have torpedoes that go 300-500mph that have no known defense. There will be thousands of dead Sea man in the sea. Russia couldn't match US naval tonnage, so they invested in missiles - best in the world

  • @6630mcdo yakhonet anti-ship missiles only goe mach 2.5 so im sure the RIM-161 surface to air missile would make sort work of your old eastern bloc anti ship missiles as for airforces, again im 100% positive that RAF typhoons and USAF F-22s could wipe the floor with any Mig or Sukoi that you throw at us.

  • @gladifly You're right. Yakhont go Mach 2.5-3.0 depending on the altitude. Sorry. Yakhont enter service in 1999. It's RCS is 0.001 and payload 3 times a harpoon. US Navy had more tonnage, so the Soviets used missile design to balance it. The world's best cruise missile is the Brahmos designed by Russia and India. This video is a MUST watch from the USAF training their pilots YouTube:"USAF AIR SUPREMACY THREATENED" Russian fighters are equal to better than ours now.

  • @6630mcdo the russian airforce's frontline fighters are Mig 29s and Su-27s correct? and the USAF's frontline fighter is the F-22 while the RAF's frontline fighter is the eurofighter typhoon both of these jet fighters are way more advance than Mig 29s and Su-27s plus RAF and USAF pilots are arguably better trained so overall i would say western airforces still dominate the skies. and the US developed the Brahmos over 30 years ago (its called the tomahawk)

  • @gladifly Russia has su-33, su-35 and soon PAK-FA. Brahmos is far better than the Tomahawk. Tomahawk is the first generation. It's very old and slow. This is latest - US has nothing like it. US can't stop it nor the Chinese anti-carrier missile DF-21 that goes Mach 10-12. I heard many are being shipped now to Russia, Iran, PAK, Vietnam under Chinese control to hit US carriers 1200 miles out. China can shot down all Satellites within 48 hours. F-22 is pretty, and good, but major flaws

  • @6630mcdo Su-33 is nothing more than a carrier based version Su-27 and there is only 6 Su-35s that have ever been built there not 1 of them is even in service and the PAK-FA won't be fully in service until at least 2020 which by that time will mark 15 years since the F-22 came into service with the USAF which also indicates that the US is more technololgicly advanced than russia by far.

  • @6630mcdo 48 Su-35 entered service this year...60 by next year. I heard the PAK-FA by 2017 production by 2015. US is greater in some areas. Russia is in others. Russia has the best missiles and anti-craft. S-400 is far better than the THAAD and patriot combined. It goes from 20ft-95,000ft, sees stealth and cruise missiles, goes 3-12 mach depending on the missile. Pentagon times Chinese military budget by 3 to get the actual estimate. $95billion x 3 = 285, USA budget is now cut 2 $500B

  • @gladifly US advantage is in numbers. 3200 fighters vs 1500 for Russia. Russia, China and India will be the superpowers (maybe EU and US) 20 years from now. There is a good chance for WW3, though, with Iran and Syria. China and Russia told US it could cause nuclear war. US and EU are creating a world empire called the New World Order, and it's called the Anglo-American Empire since others would not join. Study 'Project for the New American Century' that outlines empirical goals.

  • @6630mcdo world war 3 won't happen no superpowers ever go to war like that what will happen though is there will be a stand off just like the cold war days. and what makes you think china and Russia? if ww3 happens it will be every country for itself (NO ALLIES).

  • @gladifly We have neo-con war crazies in both parties. Study 'Project for the New American Century' - it talks about war in regional scales and larger global war. This is not going to be a stand off -cold war was rare. Russia and China must be allies to survive. Perfect allies in terms of needs...India and 30+ countries will side against US, NATO & 10+ countries. Did you notice US taking out all Russian ally countries? Yugo., Libya, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Somalia, N. Korea, Venz., etc

  • @gladifly Retired Gen. from PAK said any high-up military person can see this is moving pawns in chess before the major war....Iran/Syria are the last straw. Without them, Russia, China, India and allies could not win...and they will put their foot down. They are next!! US now has a preemptive nuclear strike option. Major change - includes Russia and China.

  • @6630mcdo if there is a war we all die simple so all this fancy military hardware is useless its will be nukes.

  • @gladifly What about a limited nuclear war? Do you believe in the bible? If you have read the elites goals (like on the Georgia Guide Stones), their desire is 95% population reduction. Billions are hard to control. I don't understand it all, but something bad is coming soon around 2012. I believe war with Iran will spread fast into WW3. Russia is showing its strength in Syria w/ ships and missiles and S-400's. I hope it's wrong...I don't want see nukes going off -US government is crazy

  • @6630mcdo either all out nuclear war or no nuclear war at all i personally think it won't be nukes but it will be another cold war and then the same shit will happen just like last time. the cold war happened because there was two superpowers afraid of each other the same goes for china and the US. they are both afraid to confront each other.

  • @gladifly I would totally agree with you, but what about the people in charge now? The neo-cons are insane. There is only war without any diplomacy. Have you read 'Project for the New American Century'? Or 'End of America' by Naomi Wolf? 'End Game' by Alex Jones? Americans are waking up very fast. 'The constitution was written to control the Government. Now, it is used to control The People.' His is uniting all peoples because everyone wants liberty, freedom and peace.

  • @6630mcdo well im sure deep down in the mind of those so called "neo-cons" theres common sense to not cause the destruction of the human race. ahh well i suppose a plus side of things is if WW3 does happen then we would proberly be turned to dust before we even knew about. theres nothing to worry about "really"

  • @NocredRS lol It's also designed for the Air Force....man, do you know anything? Any plane that is designed for three branches and 10+ countries will be a FAILURE! We will be seeing lots of dead pilots...S-400 will kill many pilots that try to murder innocent children. I can't wait for US to get this plane....it's a total failure. "Your an idiot." Wow, you English needs work...LOL 'your' does not mean 'you're'...you're an idiot comment....hahaha

  • @NocredRS YouTube: "USAF scared of Russian Air Force" AND "1/5 DOCUMENTARY ON F-35 JOINT STRIKE FIGHTER" After you watch these videos, you will know the other side.

  • @NocredRS Wow, really? Genius, they are all bad...try again.

  • F-35 is a FAILURE!!!! Study it! Wings are WAY too small...can't turn. Too expensive....pilots only get 1/10 hours required for pilots because maintenance are so expensive. Russia can see all stealth fighters! S-400 will shoot any down...F-35, you are a FAILURE! NO FEARS IT!

  • They stay away from telling everything thats terrible about it, which is ALOT.

  • and this is why the US is going bankrupt ... 1 TRILLION dollars going into this program...

  • F35 is just bad copy Russian YAK141

  • @003dejan The F-35 was developed from the X-35, not from the shitty YAK141.

  • Tech advancment is good especialy for fighter aircraft But too much can be deadly over costly and distracting as well even for rookie pilots So how much is too much is quiet frightening. Simulators can't do everything and are never be the same as having a battle buddy up thier with you in case you decide to go AWOL or get a bit fatigued, this is why i have found no need to have or ever own ipod's or the latest in new ipad's 3 simple words Overly practical, Too damn expensive untrustworthy.

  • this is a bad boy,,,,

  • 2:14 not Mach 2 but Mach 1.6....It's far too nearly twice the speed of sound.

  • I also don't think anyone is under any illusion regarding first rate defense systems. These weapons are designed to be formidable to discourage attack. US is a war weary nation. These are beautiful planes and fun and interesting to follow, but my god you don't really want people to start using them do you? The Flanker is a great plane. Graceful lines but with an aggressive air about it. One of my favorites.

  • I don't think that's an accurate assessment of the performance of stealth technology. I recall an interview with Mr Putin in which he said that he didn't think that stealth technology was worth the money as infrared radar will obsolete it in ten years. He didn't say it didn't work...just that he thought it will date fast. We haven't seen a stealth fighter playing for real yet, but IMO you're short changing the performance of stealth bombers. Lets all hope for peace.

  • You can either spend an exorbidant amount on weak stealth OR you can spend an average amount on a good manoeuvring fighter. You will never get both, not yet. Listen American. Your cowardly armed forces have been murdering desert wanderers riding camels. Dont think that because they can see you coming that you are bad ass and your stealth technology is amazing. It isnt. Try sneaking up on Great Britain or Germany or Israel. They will hand you your ass.

  • @699backstab

Did you just say that Israel would hand us our ass?! Would they hand us our ass by utilizing the technology that we supplied them? And if the F35 is such a shitty aircraft then why are Great Britain, Germany, Israel and a myriad of other European countries all begging to get their hands on a fleet of them? Why then are European countries contracting with LM to build parts for the F35 in order to secure a place at the table? Why? Because it's a damn well-rounded aircraft. You fail.

  • @699backstab Great Britain, Germany, and Israel are some of the countries purchasing this plane, and BAE helped develop it. Weak stealth? I guess your ignorance is a testament to European engineering schools.

  • It would have been cool if at 00:32 instead of stepping into his car, he was stepping into the cockpit!

  • 699backstab your just a mad little eurotrash jihadist. Your mad because that little bald guy your speaking ill of is an ex-navy seal....aka the elite soldiers who killed your hero bin laden. Its ok though ...I'm sure he doesn't know what he's talking about, but you do........right....

  • @Aresbro That kid is a rapist of children. I saw him on TCAP

  • This bald american racist angry subhuman is one of the worlds worst people. Not only is he wrong about this plane, its a piece of shit, but he glorifies americas war of terror on brown people and their religiosity. This moron dipshit has been fed all sorts of lies to send out to the american sheeple who still think the Muslims blew up their towers LOL What is the world coming to. Holy shit.

  • @699backstab "what is the world coming to", looking at your comment... I wonder that too. Seek some mental help.

  • @downloadgoblin I need this planet to die. All of it. All at once. Ill gladly suffer death as long as I know you pieces of dogshit are right beside me :D

  • @699backstab hey like fuck you first of all he says all american stuff is the best because it is. and the f-35 and f-22 are the most advanced pieces of technology in the world. And most of the best parts of the f-35 and f-22 are classified, like the RCS (and before your whiney ass says well they already did, no they didnt the us government will not tell people the actual RCS)

  • @MrFATasYOURmom Both of those planes are shit. its a fact. They are white elephants and if you have tried to corner at 18-25 degrees per second in a white elephant you know that its not going to work in a dogfight. They are weak low performance planes that cost too much. Your country designed dog shit and they are professing that they are good planes. They are not. America fails, at designing fighters and honesty. You fail because you have been duped.

  • @699backstab wrong. what plane is better than the f-22 and the f-35. It sure as hell is not the PAK FA and even worse comes in with the J-20 that probably made of plastic

  • @MrFATasYOURmom Thats an easy one. f18 hornet, superhornet, f15, f16 likely others ols school aswell. SU 35, mig 29, mig 31 etc. How do I know. If you allow pilots to do a pass your f35 and f22 pilots will be dead in 1 minute or less. Those 2 planes are junk. Dont let you patriotism blind you like it does so many ameritards.

  • @699backstab LISTEN the f-22 and f-35 are 5th gen fighters and no way in hell are they going to be destroyed by 4th gen planes, and put your comments in google translator before you speak, i could not tell what you said in the last comment, all i saw was the names of inferior aircraft compared to the f-35 and f-22. dont get me wrong i love the F-15, F-16, and F-18 (which are better than the MIGS and SUs), but simulations show that an f-22 or f-35 can take on 10 of them at a time and win,

  • Check the net. There is a huge controversy about how bad those 2 planes are Because they are 5th generation. They will not survive combat or dogfights. I am parroting what experts say. I have a history in aviation and I understand the language of aviation. Those 2 planes look really nice n shit but they are worthless on the battlefield. The planes I named last time, in the hands of equal skilled pilots will shoot down the f 22 and f 35 almost every time. They are expensive modern junk

  • @699backstab "They will not survive combat or dogfights. I am parroting what experts say"

Really? I've spoken to a few F-16 pilots who say that flying exercises against the F-22 was boring as hell during the BVR phase. All they did was fly around hunting for something they couldn't see and got calls on the radio ever few minutes saying they were dead.

They said it was boring until the F-22's depleted their amraams and closed to wvr where their turning capabilities would make you cry.

  • @699backstab That was F-16 pilots. The f-22 is the most maneuverable close range fighter in the world. Incredible acceleration, thrust and lift loading and has TV nozzles with 20 deg deflection as opposed to only 15 degrees on a flanker.

The F-35 is a much more maneuverable aircraft than the F-18, period, LM and the USN have stated that over and over. The mig-31 could not ever be considered a dogfighter and the mig-29 has only ever been dominated by the F-16 which is inferior to F-35/22.

  • @699backstab weapons bay doors open for 2 or 3 seconds. Anyone who knows even the basics of BVR combat knows that to fire on a target that flies as fast as a fighter, you need to maintain a constant track on the target so your missile can intercept it. Spotting a target for 2 seconds would not help anyone.

So .... I'll put it out there, your IQ, aint that high, and you being a subject matter expert, ummm, sorry, no.

  • @FXWorldBeater retard modern day jets have a fire and forget system so all jets have to do is spot and fire. and plus modern day missles alow pilots to fire at any angle from the target and the missle will track it.

  • @EJCyouknowme "retard modern day jets have a fire and forget system so all jets have to do is spot and fire."

The seeker on all modern radar guided missiles doesn't even "switch on" until 10 miles out from the target. Not to mention the radars on missile are many times less powerful than those of aircraft (easy for setalth aircraft to hide from)

If you get short glimpse of a target 50 miles away and fire, the target will have moved on before the missile can self acquire.

  • @EJCyouknowme dont bother re-posting, you obviously have absolutely no idea of modern weaponry.

  • @FXWorldBeater The AIM-120 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile, or AMRAAM, is a modern beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile capable of all-weather day-and-night operations, it is a fire-and-forget missile with active guidance. It is also commonly known as the Slammer in USAF service. When an AMRAAM missile is being launched, NATO pilots use the brevity code Fox Three.

  • @699backstab stop your propaganda bullshit, the F-22 and F-35 are the best fighter planes out there, just because your country cant make a sophisticated plane that dominates the skies, doesnt mean you should come on here spreading your bullshit. THe f-35 and F-22 are the BEST

  • I see now you are trying to troll me. The entire planet understands those 2 planes are dogshit with wings. Garbage. junk. You are a kid who is wow'd by the newness of these planes. As an American you are subject to aggressive patriotism which will convince you of anything. They could put a picture of Harry Potters broom up and call it the f-36 and you will jerk off to it..claiming it is the best. I cannot be trolled. My IQ is far too high and I am essentially an expert on this subject matter.

  • @699backstab So you're saying that Lockheed Martin is not able to build a stealth aircraft? Would you say that history has shown that? Or would you say that Lockheed Martin has shown themselves to be a leader in developing stealth technology? You're the expert.

  • Stealth aircraft like these need to either turn on their radar to fire a weapon handing away their position to enemy or they need to change shape(opening non stealth doors) to drop a non radar weapon, giving away their position. They rely on their shape, paint and cleanliness for their stealth and it is weak at best. Once their position is given away they turn into even bigger pieces of shit than before they arrived on target. Cant dogfight, cant manoeuvre. You cant get it all in one package kid

  • @699backstab

HAHAHAHA! You're an expert on the subject matter eh? The fact that you're bashing the F35 for its dogfighting capabilities makes me fucking laugh! You don't send this type of plane into a situation where dogfighting will be an issue; although just by virtue of its stealth and AESA it can stand in as a very viable BVR fighter. Lockheed was asked to build a combat aircraft that could carry a heavy payload. They weren't asked to build another short-range fighter like the F16.

  • @699backstab "The entire planet understands those 2 planes are dogshit with wings" Do you honestly believe what you are saying? What aircraft do you consider to be competitors to the F22 and F35?

  • @699backstab do the world a favor and please die you subhuman religious muslim zealot, muslims are the jews of the 21st century, everyone hates you

  • forgot the f-22...

  • Spend 150 million or whatever it costs for a single plane over needed stuff that actually helps your country, not bankrupt it.

  • To combat AQ huge airforce......

  • You might be interessted in watching these 2 videos.

  • heeeeeeeeyyyyyyy... this is the plane from green lantern! epic plane!

  • what? almost twice of the speed of sound? that's like 1600km/h

F-14 could do 2550km/h.... Planes are getting worst everyday

  • @glazuna Mach 2 is 2300 km/h. The F-14 maxed out at Mach 2.4. The F-35 has been tested to Mach 1.53. Check your facts before you comment.

  • it won't go over this speed, even F-14A (prototype in 1970s) flown with mach 2 or something like that...

  • @glazuna It's not always about top end speed. The F-35 has numerous advantages over the F-14. Comparing the F-14 to the F-35 is pointless anyway, they're designed for completely different missions.

  • @stuntmanmike37 "Mach 2 is 2300 km/h" .... actually your mach speed is dependant on your altitude and atmospheric conditions.

  • @FXWorldBeater Yes, I know. But I didn't want to get into a technical debate with someone with such obvious little background knowledge.

  • "submunitions" meaning cluster bombs - banned by an international treaty. The Convention on Cluster Munitions, which became binding international law in 2010, prohibits the use, production and stockpiling of the weapon, which is blamed for killing and maiming tens of thousands of civilians.

The Convention on Cluster Bombs was first adopted in May 2008 and ratified by 37 states including Britain, France, Germany and Japan, which all have significant stocks. US and Israel refuses to sign!

  • @FXWorldBeater The F-35's thermal imaging system isn't going to do much good when the AMRAAM switches to active radar homing, is it?

  • @lb8068 "The F-35's thermal imaging system isn't going to do much good when the AMRAAM switches to active radar homing, is it?"

Unfortunately there's no unclassified info available on how handover is handled between midcourse updating and autonomous guidance .... but with LOAL capability, I'd expect the 120D to be very flexible. Considering aircraft have the ability to handover control of missiles between themselves, it seems they are very advanced with their networking features.

  • @FXWorldBeater

if is switches to radar homing you cnn allways use chaff or just avoid confrontation and use tavtics and moves like the doppler notch

  • @lb8068 Hmmm .... you do realise I never actually said you'd use aim-120's if the target was in front of you WVR don't you?

The comment I believe you were talking about was my response to a guy who said "what do you do when they're on your tail and they're firing guns at you?".

If you are WVR, you have sidewinders and your enemy is within the envelope of the 9x, you'd use the 9x.

  • @FXWorldBeater Also, I'm unsure about the specific G capability of the AIM-9X, but I do that it is well above the AIM-120D's 20G...

  • @FXWorldBeater Spelling errors in my last post:

    Fire

    AMRAAM

    within

I'm on an iDevice and it's difficult to type.

  • @FXWorldBeater Hmm, first you would fore an AMRAAM at a target within visual range, now you would fire an AMRAMM at a target working visual range IF he was behind you.

Ha! Stop moving the goal post mate, that's almost a completely different statement to the one made earlier.

  • @FXWorldBeater 'The F-35B also loses the ability to pull some Gs compared to the conventional USAF variant. The STOVL can only pull 7G compared to 9G for the F-35A and 7.5G for the F-35C. Tomlinson explained that this is not a result of any trade-off made for improved short field performance. “There’s no reason we can’t make a 9G STOVL airplane”, he said.'

DID U NO THAT F-35 CAN PULL 18G CUZ 200% OF 9 IS 18 OMG.

Also, well done! You knew the AIM-9X is an infared missile! Have a gold star.

  • @FXWorldBeater That's total Irrelevant to the discussion.

The fact that you would consider firing at an enemy within visual range with a BVR weapon when you have a WVR weapon suited specifically to that role is beyond me.

  • @lb8068 "is beyond me"

You probably get that a lot .... but if you fire a short range missile, ANY short range missile at an enemy who is behind you (the f-35 is the only aircraft equipped to do this), the missile's range will be severely reduced due to the fact it has to turn 180 degrees.

A medium range missile wouldn't have this issue.

The only advantage with short range missiles is they have an IR seeker. The F-35 IS one big 360 degree looking IR seeker.

  • @FXWorldBeater 'In 1995, Hughes and British Aerospace collaborated on the "P3I ASRAAM" - a version of ASRAAM as a candidate for the AIM-9X program. The P3I would have been very much like the AIM-132, but with the addition of thrust vectoring to provide increased agility and to carry a larger warhead to meet the requirements expressed by the US Navy led AIM-9X program.'

And I still haven't gotten that reference for the F-35 maximum G limit in air yet.
