At 3:13.5 he went "flat" and went into the climb, I'm guessing that is when he lost the "elevator trim tab". I wonder if the sudden jolt to the right caused him to climb.

@Alvin691 The cause of climb was the Trim tab coming off. At those speeds, the only thing keeping the excess lift created by the wings from pitching the craft's nose up is the trim tab assisting the pilot in keeping the elevator up. Lose the tab and the air flowing over the elevator pushes it to neutral. Neutral elevator at high speed will make any plane climb fast.
