It really gets on my nerves when people immediately try and beat down the opinions and footage they produce on this show. Number one, they are giving THEIR opinions. You don't have to agree with them but that is their personal view. They are sharing it with us. Number two, you weren't there on their lockdowns so you can't say what happened or what it was like. Number three, this is not a member of the Ghost Adventures crew throwing the EMF meter. He confronted the guy at the end of the show too.

Seeing that Robert Bess ruined the creditability of their work, they just should have stated that the guy faked an instance, plain and simple. It would have surely been better if they had caught it first, vs the fans--and then called him out. Doing this type of work, you are already walking on eggshells. On any show like this, there will be SOME things faked or exaggerated just for the entertainment value. I would say exaggerated mostly. Just think of a paranormal tv show WITHOUT ANY "paranormal proof", it wouldnt be so entertaining now would it?
@shredfan34 I understand where you're going at with that...BUT there are many, many episodes where they do not really capture any evidence and yet they still air the 1 hour episode. I think one example might be the one where they go to that lighthouse on Long Island. There are many episodes where they only catch a few EVPs that aren't even that good/clear but I don't really think these guys can fake or exaggerate anything since their episodes don't always have a glorious amount of evidence.

1. They go to the MOST HAUNTED places in the world, so if something were to happen paranormal it would happen there.
2. Has anyone ever been to the places they go? MOST people no (and thats a big MOST)

@Maliciiousss I live 15 minutes away from Bobby Mackey's in Wilder, Ky. That place is no joke. I've been there. I didn't believe it at first. One night I was there and in the bathroom saying this place is a joke. There's no demons here. Then the garbage can fell over and slid almost 10 feet across the floor. I ran out of that bathroom. There is just to much stuff that happens there to to many people for it to be fake. They call the well in the basement hells gate.

Aaron said that it caused his divorce because it followed him home was effecting his wife too. For a couple months they haunted them at home in all kinds of different ways. But Bobby Mackey's despite demons is a fun place to go. For some reason I enjoy the place and keep going back. But I won't go in the basement. They even give tours down there.

@102050keenan I've seen GH once before and I believe that they never got anything because they are mostly aggresstive towards the ghosts no matter the location. GA is only aggresstive when aggresstive ghosts are present. They also learn the history of the location. I may be wrong but that's my opinion.

I watched this episode recently and it was the shorter version. However, I didn't see anybody throwing anything. Maybe I missed it or they cut it out cause that's such a disgrace. EMF detectors generally react to the electrical equipment or any of the wiring in the building. And also debunking your own hoax's doesn't make your bad acting and less obvious.
All ghost hunter programs stage "fake" events and then debunk them on purpose as a way of "proving" credibility. Don't forget, they could have edited the entire scene of the flying EMF detector out of the program and not even aired it.

They only delay the footage about 5 minutes so that they can edit out all the walking to the other parts and parts where they're cussing (because this IS a family show). They don't completely review all the footage to tell whether or not it's fake.

I saw one right in front of my face, practically a few inches away, when I was a child. & during my teen years I was haunted for a few years until my dad had to burn my mattress; supposedly to put the spirit at peace. @ghosthunternumberone I have to disagree about EVPs, these digital recorders have to accept a certain about of transmission noise. In other words they are not shielded from cellphones,walkie talkies, CB radios, AM/FM and many other transmission sources. Read the instructions / disclaimer. its VERY possible that EVPs are nothing more that bits of transmissions being recorded. We our selves are going to try to experiment with our digital recorder to figure out what transmissions might effect it.

the thing is, anyone can say anything is paranormal and someone, somewhere will shoot it down. this field has enough communication problems that's for sure! this piece though can surely show you his arm was bent to toss the meter. so many others question if it was intentionally created so that GA could debunk it because too many have questioned their findings... the only person who knows for sure if something is paranormal or not is the person it happens to. regardless of what others say...

@shredfan34 I understand where you're going at with that...BUT there are many, many episodes where they do not really capture any evidence and yet they still air the 1 hour episode. I think one example might be the one where they go to that lighthouse on Long Island. There are many episodes where they only catch a few EVPs that aren't even that good/clear but I don't really think these guys can fake or exaggerate anything since their episodes don't always have a glorious amount of evidence.

One night I was there and in the bathroom saying this place is a joke. There's no demons here. Then the garbage can fell over and slid almost 10 feet across the floor. I ran out of that bathroom. They only delay the footage about 5 minutes so that they can edit out all the walking to the other parts and parts where they're cussing (because this IS a family show). They don't completely review all the footage to tell whether or not it's fake.

I saw one right in front of my face, practically a few inches away, when I was a child. & during my teen years I was haunted for a few years until my dad had to burn my mattress; supposedly to put the spirit at peace. I don't care ppl believe me or not. It just is. & NO; however fascinating it might seem, seeing ghost or paranormal stuff is not fun.

@jedaqia I also had experiences with ghosts and it was very frightening at the time to be at home, especially at night, but then I kinda thought about it and realized that nothing bad never actually happened to me. Absence of knowledge about ghosts made me fear. And then, after learning on my own experience about Astral Travels, auras and other 'spiritual' stuff, I completely stopped thinking about ghosts as evil entities... unless of course they were evil people when they had their bodies.

I'm going to have to respectfully dissagree with you on the bit about physics being blown out of porportion, because there actualy are scientists that are instrested in studdying the paranormal (not just ghosts but ufos the brumuda triangle,cryptozoology, etc) the major short fall though is funding. Realy the only actual scientific orginization that is doing any thing related to the paranormal is SETI. even Steven hawking has said that he has some slight intrest with suposed hauntings.

@ghosthunternumberone I have to disagree about EVPs, these digital recorders have to accept a certain about of transmission noise. In other words they are not shielded from cellphones,walkie talkies, CB radios, AM/FM and many other transmission sources. Read the instructions / disclaimer. its VERY possible that EVPs are nothing more that bits of transmissions being recorded. We our selves are going to try to experiment with our digital recorder to figure out what transmissions might effect it.

CONT: Mechanical devices like tape recorders where given up years ago as it was inherent that tapes as they are turning make noise. This also means that devices that record to DVDs (such as some camcorders) would also be apt to be unreliable. The truth is no electronic device is truly immune to outside interference.
On the basis of mechanical devices, you can throw out any evidence you consider proof, which only leaves the true electronic devices which are also flawed.

@ghosthunternumberone Actually id doesn't. it just means that like i have already shown your equipment is flawed for the purpose you are using it. It wa designed to take decent video and audio not hunt ghosts.
The fact that you get NO recordings at one place and some at another doesn't point the golden finger to ghosts. It only means that your equipment is flaky and that there may be more interference at one place than another. You know heat effects electronics as well.

@ghosthunternumberone A recorder that has a built in mike gain can record echoes. We were not there to witness the recordings. Skeptics all know TAPS has faked much and been caught at it. Like you they persist in their claims. Despite obvious proof that they were faking. And Ghost lab, PLEASE do't go there. they are as bad as Most Haunted. Looking for ways to be more credible by creating something that can't be torn apart by intelligent people. Pseudo science at its best!

@Tapps47 I actualy do Investigate this stuff, and no it may not be ghosts. look to physics becuase physics does have some possible explinations for this stuff like "paralell univers theory, "string theory", or "multi dementional theory" and what about poltergiests? ever hear of the "zero point field"?

@jeffrielly I and a group of my close friends used to investigate ghosts as well. once you get passed the pseudo science part of the methodology. You soon realize that something is in error. And there are TO many variables that can cause what people are claiming or implying is evidence.
Just the fact that electronics is inherently flawed, Also they way data is created and stored is not the most flawless method. As for theories? Physics has been taken out of context by the paranormal.

@ghosthunternumberone I see the point I made is, even in the face of proof that your equipment can be flawed, you still won't even acknowledge the possibility that your equipment was not designed for what your doing with it. its not about what you believe. Belief is not fact, the facts that i put forth to show your equipment can be the cause of any "results" you get. Intelligent people can see that i have shown documented excerpts of known logical principles. Epic fail on your behalf.
