Interesting how all these music geeks spin weird theories about him as they attempt to fill in the blanks. By avoiding all personal information, Jandek forces his "fans" (none of whom seem to LIKE his music, just the mystery) to write his bio for him. His entire career could be seen as a really expensive, long-term audience-participatory performance art project, like a decomposing animal in a glass case at a gallery. That's kind of what his music feels like, too.

This movie looks pretty lame. Who wants to watch a bunch of dorks sitting around talking about jandek. The comments they are making are ridiculous, if think his music doesnt make any sense than they probably havent heard any actual avant garde music. Jandek is strange for a folk artist but there is jazz and classical that is way more out there. Just listen to a jandek album and youll get a lot more out of it than hearing these douche bags
