  • i tape on my feet.

  • I have a better idea! SilverTape!!! U can use it in all ur shoes!

  • you dont need it anymore. it just comes free when you buy a 6th gen touch. no sensors needed.

  • Or you can buy a nike+ shoe (like i did) and stick it in the little compartment it is actually made for

  • what a cunt you are

  • #⃣↙it was ok but not 🆒 ™🕚

  • okay so i tried this and ran for atleast 3 miles and the ipod said i ran zero miles but it did log my minutes =( do you have any idea what is up with that?

  • Nike used to make good running shoes, but there are better ones available now. I just got some Vibratims that AREN'T the toe shoes and I am anxious to try them out. They are very light and I want to get the pouch to hold my iPod sensor.

  • Just go on amazon and buy the thing to wrap around you lace with the sensor in it,its only 5 euro or somethin

  • Or you could just buy Nikes???? Or not get anything apple cuz you look like a fucking nike wannsbe idiot with nike taped to ur shoe fukkin scrubs. If i see any body run like that imma trip their ass and bury them.

  • @airsoftmatt14

I think you should learn how to compose proper sentences before you make childish threats.

  • @xX360xVIDEOSXx I'm not being cheap, not everyone likes Nike shoes, but unfortunately Nike's are the only ones that have the sensor compartment. Personally I like Adidas, Asics and New Balance more than Nike

  • @iamjames2 You can buy a pouch for around $2 with free shipping from Amazon. And I agree, Nike makes (imo) the best *looking* sneakers. But when it comes to running I'm more of a New Balance kind of guy since they are much more comfortable. Oh, and @xX360xVIDEOSXx $160 is waaay too much to be paying for shoes (especially Nikes). You should stick to regular Nikes (not Air Jordan) and you'd save your mommy tons of money ;)

  • @iamjames2 the sensor actually fits into the adidas micoach compartment in my supernova glides. so you can still use the nike plus system if you prefer adidas :)

  • @iamjames2 what sensor comparment.my nike mercurial doesnt has any??

  • I just got a pair of nike+ shoes on ebay for $29 new! Cannot wait for them...for now I'll just jimmy rig it.

  • Thanks really helped

  • just buy nike+ shoes

  • @xX360xVIDEOSXx Wow yeah coz everyone has 160 to spend on shoes!

  • DFer96111

no it uses a technoligy allowing you to broadcast over 1000 km

DUH YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE IPOD WITH

hope that answerd your question :)

  • Wait it takes batteries right?

  • Dude! what a tight ass? just buy some shoes with the nike chip compartment? seems more secure in the shoes than out...?

  • @JIMMY02F4I No it's not that we're cheap with our money. I run in Asics because they are much more cushioned and hold up for the run better than Nike. I run for long distances and with Asics I don't have to worry about aching feet or throbbing knees. This is great for people like me who can't run in Nike's.

  • BREAKING NEWS: FOXBUSINESS AND CNBC ANCHORS ARRESTED FOR ILLEGALLY MONITORING PRIVATE EMAILS AND PHONE CALLS.

THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN SOON TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW.

  • my feet are to broad to buy nike shoes and i really wanted to be able to track my workouts thanks for this tip

  • where can you get the senser?

  • @jessebob123 at dicks sporting goods, I found it at the shoes section, if u have and ipod touch its 20$ if u have a nano the sensor is 30$

  • velcro... cool huh? :/

  • actually this method is not gonna work. the accelerometer inside the sensor serves to detect whenever the runner’s foot is in contact with the ground. Because of the piezoelectric nature of the material in the sensor, it produces an electrical current whenever it is compressed by the runner’s weight on the ground. It is this current that can be detected by other sensors. So as long as pressure is involved, the sensor has to stay under your foot to give u more accurate stats. hope it helps ;)

  • I just cut a hole in the sole of my shoe at the right spot where I don't even feel it and the sensor is nice and snug.

  • I run barefoot... :(

  • Good one!

  • @trufiend138 tape it to your feet

  • Or just buy Nike+ shoes...

  • thanx for the idea; i almost lost my sensor today

  • Or Nike+ Shoes

  • or you can just buy a pouch like i did from ebay for 6.75 (£) and save a lot of hassle lmao.

  • merci beaucoup!

  • Best buy xDD or other places

  • Where do i get the sensor thingy from??

  • Or you could just cut open the tongue an stick it in there.

  • Comment removed

  • or you can not be retarded n go get Nike+ shoes.

  • @SonnyFB42 Some people prefer to run with their own shoes is the problem with this. For me, I don't use Nike shoes because I've yet to find a pair that fit my feet right.

  • hahhaha that is a good idea

  • I'm skeptical of both this method and the pouch. I have the proper nike+ shoes and I even had to use sticky tape with those to stop it from moving around and giving false readings. I find it difficult to see how this could be giving accurate readings.

Also, you say it is an accelerometer. I thought it worked by counting steps on impact which is why it fails unless calibrated for the pace you intend to run at.

  • so ghetto.just but the reg shoe

  • I got them online because you can't buy them in Belgium!

They are perfect for a triathlon=)

  • go yankz-laces!!!

  • THANK YOU!!!

I've been searching for what those were! I got them free at a 5k run and when I replaced the shoes I went to buy more. NO ONE HAS EVER HEARD OF THEM. Went to all the large sporting goods stores in the big city and employees just looked at me funny when I described them.

  • @iamjames2 Oh you can buy them directly from Yankz. I'll PM you a link.

  • To everyone else: they're visible at 1:05 on the New Balance shoes

  • Wow, why do certain people waste space on Youtube making videos?????

  • How much does it cost?

  • in uk its £19.99

  • when u buy it on the internet u can get a pair of shoes

  • Try the LaceLid. It's secure and usually can be picked up for $2.00. They look really, really nice compared to all the DIY projects...

  • I have purchased six different pairs of running shoes this year and Nike was one of them and they were not for me. My Asics gel Foundations work for me and today I tried this with my Nike + and it worked. The sensor stayed on my shoe no problem..I sewed the velcro on. Why spend money on shoes that don't work for you or a pouch? This works.

  • Wat if some people cheat. Like taping your sensor on your thigh.

  • lol will break if in ur socks or will fall out

  • dumb, stick it in your socks.

  • dude just get a nike plus shoe. Just about every nike running shoe no matter what the price comes with the dock. I accidentally bought a nike plus shoe so c'mon.

  • There are many other good shoes out there that aren't Nike. Some are much better too, depending on your foot. I can't find any pair of Nikes anywhere near as comfortable as my Asics Gel Nimbus' (editors choice by runners world, btw). It's all about what your foot likes and how much running you do.

  • Or you can spend 10 bucks for a Nathan pouch that attaches to the laces. Keep's it dry and easily moves to 2nd pair of shoes if you alternate. Just sayin...

  • or you could just tape it down LOL!

  • lol, or you can just put in your sock!

  • Ouch!... and leave a blister the size of the accelerometer...hehe :) Put it on the other foot then ;P

  • or you could just buy a pair of nikes

  • its for people who dont want to buy a new pair of shoes just for that little sensor.

    ipod thing=19.90 SGD

    shoes=80.90 SGD

    see what i mean?

  • just shove it up your ass

  • LOL!!!!!

  • oh cheat!!

  • it's that the box only mentions the iPod Touch not all iPods

  • Will this work for the iPod Touch???

  • should work with anything. It's the sensor for the Nike+iPod that matters, not the kind of ipod you have.

  • They claim it only works for the Nano and the Touch, for whatever reason.

  • I was referring to the placement of the sensor.

  • it works for both the nano and itouch. on the second gen itouch it will read the sensor without the need for the ipod adapter as for the first gen itouch im not sure if it will even work with the nike+

  • That ain't work. I lost one this way, it cost me 19 Euro!

  • i've had it on there for 300 miles. Works fine. The velcro and shoestrings hold it down nicely. Depends on the shoes though, you have to have shoes the velcro can latch onto.

  • Yeah, maybe I had bad luck, but I bought a clip that worked perfectly and wasn't that expensive

  • tnx for the explanation!
