Every day is a 'new year', every day is a new decade...manmade 'days of the week' and 'months' and 'years' and 'decades'...can start on any day...the illusion that a 'new year' starts at this time 'every year' is another manipulation...people are so easily mislead, I know, I used to be one of them who believed all the bullshit.
Theres nothing going to be happy about 2012 so no point me wishing you a happy new year ,but any ways just to make you happy i have to lie to you happy new year
