Would this work with the kind of hum that is a result of electrical disturbances? My dorm room causes some disturbance with my amp that gives it a constant hum that's not too strong but stronger than normal single coil hum, and there are only certain small spots in my room where it doesn't hum. This hasn't happened anywhere else except in this room.
Hey, I have a Boss ME-70 guitar effects and I'm using an Ibanez active pick-ups. My question is that, my ME-70 has a built in Noise sup. but, everytime I activate my OD it produces the humming sound. Is it advisable to get this debugger?
Im dead set on Isp Decimator , because I owned one & think its an awesome pedal. Sold it cuz my truck too\k a dump, but miss it & need it. Although Yours looks like a nice one,not downing it,sounded good.
sounds great. I have one. But I have to say that when the setting is on "strong" the tone changes. Sometimes that tone is welcomed and sometimes not so much....
Where can I buy this pedal..I'm in toronto..I checked the website but can't see anywhere to actually buy it..help I have major humm and a beautiful 75 strat..:)
hey i have a really important question to ask you... but before i ask you, ive tried the ISP noise reduction (no luck in that, its nothing but a gate) and im going to try the ebtech hum eliminator pretty soon. but, does this thing reduce quality in sound, and does it act like a gate or does it really get the noise out without quality reduction. and will it work for a bass guitar?
So I was thinking, does this eliminate feedback? Cuz I kinda dig feedback when I'm just fuckin' around on my guitar, but still I dont (and tbh I dont think anyone) dig's the noise, so this would be perfect for me.
Has there been any measurement by EHX on whether there is a slight increase in gain, particularly on the strong setting. (It still sounded good though!) If so, could you re-clean that up with your volume?
great pedal, i use it to clean up the hum from my gibson humbuckers, and when i add my EHX metal muff, it does the job nicely, it helps even more if you roll back the volume just to like 8 or 9
Where would you place this on your pedal board? At the start or at the end?

this would be great.

How does this actually work? I suppose it works sort of like a gate?

Is this thing just a notch filter at 60 Hz or is the "de-humming" more complex than that?
mintotook 2 years ago
Absolutely not just a filter!

It's a Los Angeles Custom Shop, unfortunately.

I could be totally mistaken, but are you on Crossroads Guitarfest DVD with Steve Vai? If not, the guy looks like you. Ha!

Yes, sharp eye -- Dave plays guitar with Steve Vai.

How do you know if your hum is entirely developed by your pick-ups or the hum is created by bad grounding?
HammondB200 2 years ago
Single Coils are, by their nature, going to create hum.
antihax91 2 years ago
Great demo, Dave! Will this pedal also get rid of unwanted feedback?
kareemb0 2 years ago
its not a noise surpressor.
